and Mexico? am I the only Mexican who whatch your videos? :(
Well done Canadian Prepper on the very thorough & comprehensive review! Keep 'em coming dude.
i see one thing i dont care for is that stick on riser, primal gear has built in shelf which will be there forever
Thanks for sharing this and posting the video. You're probably not looking for advice from a stranger but if you're open minded to improvement, you can get a lot more consistency and accuracy out of your shots by avoiding making huge plucking movements with your drawing hand. In the video, you tend to whip your hand back upon releasing the arrow, which will cause all sorts of issues and errors. If you can release the arrow without moving your draw hand at all, you'll find yourself getting better groupbgs. Thanks for the video. Cheers.
The "Undead Fred" is comical and didn't know those were sold... Ok, so thanks for showing this survival bow because I NEVER HEARD OF THESE BOWS and will seriously consider getting one, and thanks for describing & recommending the larger bow due to the quicker setup & stability... So you were very helpful.... What is the TOTAL WEIGHT??? LOOKS VERY VERY VERY VERY HEAVY!!!!!... I LOVE CANADA, and drove through 7 of the Eastern provinces for 2 months back in August 2013 and I was invited to a Canada Independence Day celebration aboard the ship that crosses to Newfoundland... They were so nice, and the Captain invited me into the ship steering chambers (can't remember what it's called). so that was exciting.... The people of Canada, from my experience, were very friendly & outgoing... However, my only bad Canadian experience was in Quebec where no one at all was friendly to me and seemed annoyed at my presence, even in stores & other public places... It's as if they despise Americans, oh well.
Make your own end plugs out of cork. Super easy to carve, even for a novice. I like this bow.
By the way - don't chase your dog away, call him to a safe zone. If you chase your dog away, you won't be able to go to him in a stress situation. His reaction will be to run away from you rather than wait for you. My dogs know "safety first" which means go lie down on their bed, be it in camp or the back of the car or the living room. Its not a stay command, just puts them into a safety zone for whatever it is that I'm doing and out of my way.
FromThe Prairies the dog sees that the human is doing something, and learns not to disturb the human when doing things like that, Yes I understand what you trying to say but answer is no. This is the same as dog sitting in front of the door that you want to open, it learns when you're going to use that door and moves, doesnt move? Make it move and it learns. My dog instantly gets up when I grap the door handle, not before that. People who dont understand animals are waste
That larger unit looks awesome brother. Man, so glad to see that your pup enjoys getting out as much as you do!
Its amazing how fast you get use to having someone else out there with you, its nice having a buddy around, merry xmas to your family bro.
I've been drooling on this finally pulled the trigger so excited it strikes me as a bow rambo would use
I have this bow in the 45 pound range and found that wrapping the handle with paracord helps to insulate it in cold weather and make it easier for handling also I have found slide on glove less finger sleeves for the string that work very well and made limb quiver from a pair of f
Up flops and wrapped them with camo duct tape that hold 4 arrows that are still lite in weight but would like to see string silencers added to cut down string vibration.
I have archery hunted for most of my hunting time and 20 yards as well for me has always been my max comfort zone. Have looked at these bows many times and still have not bit the bullet to say. Merry Christmas from the Center of Canada. Fred Thunder Bay.....
I need this in my life! Well, my B.O.B, but still... Awesome review. The Shepherd Prepper is getting quite beastly! Thanx for the review, CP!
This was a few weeks back, he put on another 10 lbs since!
Ive seen these around and been interested in Testing Them. I havent pushed myself towards them in the same way as with my Crossbow and SlingBows. But i am interested in their concept.
Sling bows are alot of fun....brought down some small game with that tool. I love the options of shooting arrows and slingshot ammo.
PrimalGear folding survival bow simply folds open, can lock in place via two thumb bolts (no loose pieces).
For the MSRP of under $130, is next on my indulgence list.
Really practical design. Good review as always! :)
You are so beautiful 😍
Less work to get ready to shoot. I'm getting one. Merry Christmas to Canadian Prepper Family!
Love your reviews and common sense advice, much of which I have thought about and came to the same conclusions as you.
I once took a deer at 40 steeps with a bow. Lol, not bragging! The string slapped my arm guard. My arrow went low but the instant of the sound of my misfire, the deer dropped low to the ground and my arrow went through the heart.
I want a take down bow for my bog. Will take a close look at this one. Thanks.
Looks really good. Sounds like a much better choice than a compound or cross bow.
Just got this bug out bow glad I did after seeing this on your channel I know I made a good purchase.
Quicky quiver, railmiunts, a red dot and bicycle inner tube over the grip and you have a fun way to spend the day x
I've got the SAS tactical in my shopping cart, and then you go and do this video. Great. Just great. Now I have to think. I'm not supposed to be thinking today, just smiling and eating. Cool video.
That's aboot the kewlest little bow I've ever seen. Very basic but still very kewl.
I love the concept but at the end of the day my takedown recurve will breakdown and fit in a daypack no problem. I think some people might find a use for this bow but for me I don't see much of a need. Good video as always, I love the honesty of your reviews.
I have take down recurves, they are awkwardly shaped when broken down, maybe more setup time but wooden bows will always feel better in hand especially in cold temps!
I finally got my 55# tonight. I was able to fit a Sven Saw 21” inside instead of arrows. I think I am going to buy a separate arrow Quiver. Overall I am really happy with the bow system. Pretty robust system. Thank you for the review CP. told SAS I bought it after your review. Pointers... hehe.
The puppy is growing! Merry Christmas to you, your family and the prepper community.
Dammit, I just purchased the original one. I probably would have purchased this bigger one if I knew about it. I guess Ill have to get both. :D
The original has its advantages, its smaller and essentially the same bow, sure there is a bit more set-up but thats honestly not a huge deal. I would probably still opt for the tactical imho if I had to do it again.
I’ll have to check this out. Don’t forget to stock up on arrow tips for hunting so you have them when shtf.
Since the riser is hollow you can put some hand warmers in it.
Its a Great bow.
Step One survival time for you to review one ssba
GA Chris I could shoot some aspirin tabs out of the sky with mine lol
IMO a sling bow is a better option for a bug out bag. I think this could be a good long term item BUT its not any more powerful or accurate than a properly made sling bow.
I'm glad I found and subbed this channel.
Nicely down, very cool. Thanks. Tony
I have a 55pound compound bow but this one you have looks great.
I will look into them.
Always love your videos. Do one on the pup, he seems very well behaved... unlike my puppy
I like that's it's 55lb draw and duel handed and that it can be deployed faster as well. Perfect for my BOB
awesome bow will be looking in to it i am not much of a bow user but will definately consider it now after seeing this
Great video.
Dang another Item I need to save up for. Thanks for the video.
Very well done review CP....I got the original SAS bow this past yr and is a great bow(not that I would know any different) and no issue making kill shots 10-15 yards out as long as I don't over think things. Very easy to setup and use ...just get more arrows to practice with as 3 is not enough. Still would prefer the shorter original design than this one as easier to pack especially in a Day pack as said....stealthy still wins for me on all accounts
I purchased the tactical not knowingly and thank you for the recommendation!!
My first thought was a special forces bow (SAS) lol. You definitely review good quality products. Are these products easy to get shipped to Scotland? Including the silky saws?
We ship SAS bows to the UK all the time. :)
🎄💗🎁🤗 *happy HOLIDAYS to you C.P. and Family* 🎄💗🎁🤗
I've the original bow, it's sweet. I much prefer feathered arrows instead of the plastic.
Merry Christmas
Do you think it would be possible to fashion another pin out of something like animal bone? It doesn't really have to be removable, if you are in real wilderness survival situation and had a camp i imagine it would be assembled most of the time anyway.
I know you can buy spares but they are pretty expensive and you could still lose those. If the inside of them (not the part that is on the outside of the bow) was painted in visible and reflective orange color that would be pretty much perfect.
I will paint my existing bolts YELLOW.....
Great bow review.
Merry Christmas CP from Québec!
Really Good review of this product, thanks for the good work ! As for the fact that it's made of metal, I would probably put a coat of "Plasti Dip" on the riser if needed in cold temperature.
wow Marshall's gotten really big
This was a couple weeks ago, hes added 10 lbs since
Merry Christmas, thanks for the great videos.
i see one thing i dont care for is the stick on riser, primal gear has built in shelf which will be there forever
Merry Christmas CP
Hi there. I saw you have a puppy German shepherd. I know another prepper have Australian Cattle dog. Can you make a video about this 2 breeds, which one is better for SHTF, please, thanks.
Merry Christmas CP!
Mine is pretty accurate, tuned my bow and arrows.
Hi Canadian Prepoer.
Great channel, great review (as always).
Please advise how tall are you, so I can get a frame of reference for the bows.
Thanks
What’s a good durable arrow rest for this. Need something not plastic for survival. If it breaks that would suck.
I don't even care about the bow anymore, your dang dog is so cute.
Came her for the doggo, wasn't disappointed.
Thanks CP!
Great video. Merry Christmas.
I just have to have one of those soon.
Wonder what the paperwork requirements wood be to aquire one of these😅
Holy mackerel its like 900 now
21 inch Brilliant for a bug out bag
Interested in a recon 35/45 Can't find an outlet for it ? Any help
Hello canadian prepper, do you recommend it for a survival back pack ‘’zombie apocalypse’’?? Thank you
I like the concept, but I'll stick with my wooden stick bow. Good vid though. Onah.
subbed man, your videos are class.
I only liked the video because of the dog! Lol just kidding, I shoot long bow for fun and have thought about these bows for a survival situation. Thanks for the info.
Which one would you rather use in a SHTF scenario, a bow like the one in this video or a crossbow?
Which is better? Recon or tactical?
All I am saying is that if you have watched this video and it has sparked an interest in archery for you is that you take a good look at better options.
Like what?
Badass equipment right there.👍👊🤘
Really nice bow ...... Merry Christmas =)
where do you aim?/how do you aim
Great vid
What's about the missing bow-hunters in the "missing 411" series?
Doggy is getting big!
8:00 I see Marshall is keeping you on your toes. ;p
cool tool.
Love the look but due to my limited income I can't afford it
Can you shoot a make shift arrow from wood with it? Other than that looks like a definite purchase..thanks for another great vid.
Only 55 lb draw so it should be OK, but make sure your arrow is straight and strong, if it breaks it could go through your hand
Canadian Prepper good 2 know ty, and merry Christmas to you and your family brother
EDDIE WITCHCRAFT
No reason you couldn't.
How far does the Bow travel with an impact?
If I've never shot a bow, you think I can buy this and do ok?
Does it fit in the bugoutroll.?
Even the pistol takes practice. Hollywood would have you believe that they are just point and shoot things. Not true!! The short sight radius makes it difficult to shoot accurately unless all you have been doing all day is playing video games. Try it. Shoot a typical combat pistol at 25 meters. If you can shoot 5 inch groups your first time than you are a phenom.
Dad, could I have a coat too in the snow?
Do you think it would kill a 800-1000 pound Sasquatch?
Bad ass!!
In both case they are too heavy vs takedown normal bow.
Hi Fullporaport. The Tactical edition only weights 2.2lbs and the Recon 2.4lbs. Not too many bows on the markets that would feel significantly lighter unless you are paying way, way more. Plus they camt store takedown arrows inside the riser. :)
I can’t imagine a survival bow having to use plastic stick on arrow rests. They will break or wear off in the elements. And for survival you can’t resupply them.... kind defeated the purpose.
How much strength needed to pull the bow string & how heavy is it
55 lbs
why?
I put a lip on my rope making it a compound bow

If you like archery then you are better off getting a good recurve take-down. Archery takes skill and this bow is not a good option in my opinion. Start with a good ILF riser and decent limbs. Draw weight doesn’t mean shit! Form and accuracy is where it is at. A 40 lb recurve will beat this every day! Even a 35 lb recurve would beat this. Get a good ILF riser and you are better off! If you need to defend yourself I suggest a good 9mm pistol. CZ 75 in my case. Yes. I live in The nanny state of Canada.
Wat pound pressure bow do you buy
55
Ok Mr "Canadian" prepper. Why don't your links go to the Canadian Amazon site?
What pants are those with the knee pads?
They are awesome pants
amzn.to/2zpAEkY
Canadian Prepper thank you very much sir. Keep staying awake, and posting that awesome content. Love to Herschel 🤗🐶🐕
Cross bow with a scope? That's not really hunting IMO.
really sucks when yur dawg pees on the camera lmao 14 .25 in very informative vid bro
We're is your eye protection loosing your vision is about the worse thing
maybe with taxes I can get this . .too broke it is awesome
Make a video on how to take a shit in the forest
A Samik Sage takedown recurve or better a more customizable setup with a decent ILF riser. Much better than this in my opinion. Archery is about form and accuracy. Not machismo. Draw weight means little. I would put a Win&Win 35 lb recurve setup against this any day. ANY DAY!
Just hit the damned paper : )
