Wallie, I so love the sentimental memory comments in your videos. You are not there alone, you have the memories there with you, even though those family members can't be there with you physically. Its those ties that are so very important in our lives. You do great work Wallie, love your videos and all you do. Thanks for being transparent and sharing all of this with us. It is why we all come back and why I have been a paid supporter for so very long. I love supporting stuff like this. I hope you are having a great day, wherever, and whenever you read this.
Thank you very much for the kind words. This year in particular has been a rather difficult year spending so much of it alone. It's bitter sweet to revisit places I've been with those not around anymore or have moved on or away. Your comment really made my day. Thank you. I'm really grateful you enjoyed this video and have supported me for as long as you have. I just try to be myself on camera. I really appreciate everything.
This video brought back so many memories. I remember going to that spring, the one that is now closed, while my dad was filling up the jugs my sister and I would walk around on the other side of the road. Thank you for showing this.
I share your love of our state parks and childhood memories of revisiting your favorite parks! I have never been at this park, just so happens that I will be going here next weekend at one of the cabins so I got a good idea of the cabin area and sights to see! Now you need to go to Canoe Creek, going there next month!
I plan on it! I want to get a video from every single PA state park no matter how long it takes to accomplish. My goal is to visit every PA state park, get a stamp for each one in my passport, and do a video at each!
I've been past the entrance to the park many times on route 30 but never was at the park itself, it's on my bucket list now ..enjoyed the video , very relaxing
Wallie I thoroughly enjoy your state park videos. It kind of feels like I'm there with you in a weird kind of way I guess. Is just really relaxing thank you and keep them coming as long as you can help me relax a lot
Thanks for the video, great history. Some things I did not know about that area.. You should have went the trail to flat Rock. Great place to wade in the water. When water is higher a natural water slide is there. The water is so cold that it feels great on a hot day. I like how there is like a natural pool formed reminds me of a hot tub except freezing water that you can sit right in the water on the flat rock. This was my favorite place in nature. It's been many years since I have been there. I fell and messed my already sore, achy, body up about four years ago. I can barely walk amymore. The water is so low from the lack of any measurable amount of rain. I am from near Jennerstowm so very familiar with this area. I see an older video from the Jennerstowm area I am going to watch next.
Where did you get the passport book? I went to Ohiopyle last month and didn't know about it! Will be heading to a Pennsylvania state park in August (probably Linn Run) and want to be ready with the passort book.
Many of the PA State Park offices have them available for sale! I bought mine at the Tom Ridge Center at the entrance to Presque Isle State Park. It was $11 back then. I think they're $12 now. Just ask a park ranger if/when you see one. They'll help you out! I know you can buy them online as well. But many park offices will have it available for sale. I know the Ohiopyle State Park office had them last time I was there!
didyou knw thta are their are some kmarts in detriot Michigan that where turn in to bjs wholeslae club and oen jc penny near that aera that became a bjs wholesale club as well
I enjoy the variety of videos you create. While it looks like there is handicapped accessibility there, It looks like some areas in this park might be difficult to reach with a wheelchair, since there are narrow bridges and stairs in some cases, so seeing some of the areas that might be harder to access through videos like this is awesome!
