Years ago in the 80.s. i n my brother begg my parents to go see are first kiss concert in Lansing mi. Folks couldn't stand them. But we finally got are way n went to the show.. few years later at deitrot metro airport. Get this. My folks actually got to meet gene n Paul at the airport. Ya no shit. My mother. Scott those young men were so nice to talk to. Long story short. After that guess who was new kiss fans. Yeppers. Mom n popps. I n my brother still laugh are asses of about that. Rock on everyone 😊. Peace.
I second Deadhearted 100% I love Daria and Noapology in general are very talented. This is the band I suggested to you as well. The second singer is from the band Halocene it's a collaboration. The guitarist is quite talented he just stuck to the original for the most part on this.
Hey Rob…agree that it wasn’t bad and it did bring back the KISS vibes to some extent. They definitely risk treading on hallowed ground, though the effort was pretty good. Hey, question for you: have you ever heard of Black Veil Brides? Just heard them this morning on SiriusXM and then checked out two of their biggest songs: In the End and Goodbye Agony - really liked them both and I think would be worth checking out. On the radio, the DJ said that KISS was a big inspiration for them and I can see that. I did check out the videos for those 2 songs and they were really good. A touch theatrical, but you see the band playing throughout and they’re something I think you’d like. Really good melodies and harmonies and no screaming or speed metal. If you’re interested, check them out! Thanks as always. 🤘
The blonde is Addie Amick from the band Halocene - one of their frequent collaborations. The only NOAPOLOGY singer is the dark Daria Zaritskaya, the drummer Dimitry Kim used to be with Jinjer (didn't want to go on a world tour but wanted to stay in Ukraine). By the way: A cover is your own interpretation and not an imitation competition. I think if the great band The Warning would cover Kiss, you wouldn't be happy either...
Not true, I have enjoyed many KISS covers. But I disagree on your take. To do the song identical is not fun, but to change parts for the worse...not cool!
@@victorycast I would have bought a different bassline that outchugged the original, but instead I got spew and excrement. Maybe people are upset about all the money you make on this channel. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I think they did good job on the cover other than the blond gal. Yeppers. Pretty tough to match pauls voice. I pulled out my kiss concert t shirts and wow. Amazing how size large frm 20years ago duz not fitt me anymore. What the hell. Everything is xxl now. Guess i should have thought that through a little better 20 + years ago. Snapp. Thanx for sharing rob. Have good rest of ur work week sir. Rock on brother. Peace 🕊️😊. Shout out frm Michigan.
As the world's greatest authority on KISS covers, I respect your opinion because my memory of this song is not as clear as yours, I'm sure! Heading over to check out the Sydney concert now! Oh, by the way, did you know The Warning dropped a new video yesterday?
@@RussInCanada Thanks for filling him in for me, Russ. I was off in KISS-land. Rob, this is a must react. Pau directs, Dany stars, and Ale steals your heart!
Hey, Thanks Rob..I don't know who that other girl is.. didn't really need her if you ask me..Daria is Russian, I think.. English is a second or third language .This wasn't my favorite cover by them.. They kinda over cooked it.. Anyhow You're spot on with your comments on this one. (I didn't request a cover.)But I did say they do some good covers.. Kiss was a good choice..THE WARNING RULES. YOU'RE PRETTY ENTERTAINING ALSO..THANKS 🤘🎶✌️
Agreed on the singers. The second woman's voice is inconsistent with the vibe of the original song. The vibe is like overdosing on sugar, not nails on a chalkboard.
. if they left the blonde out of the picture completely it would have been an okay cover.if you are going to cover classics you need to bring something to the table
I appreciate that they changed it up on the soloing, but changing the undertowing, train-chugging bass line really didn't work for me. That said, she IS hotter than Paul. 😅
yea i kinda dont like pauls and ace's twangy parts being messed with, seemed to muddy things up, dudes a good guitarist and i liked several parts but yea the blonde even got in the way a few times, i liked the 1st chick mostly in the beginning then things turned pretty much after blonde took over, didnt like the outro either, yea maybe try another one, kiss is too iconic and unless they change it up kinda like TW did with entersandman then they better bring it, i kinda expect certain parts to sound better and it fell short for me too, thanks for sharing rob
The cover version by a Mexican singer is awful. Or the Oliver Helden version I couldn't accept at all. But this version I like somehow. The dark Lady Paul sounds good. Your purple ambiente 💜 is awesome.
@@victorycast I’m a big fan of well done covers, like The Sound of Silence by Disturbed. They changed it up enough to put their own signature on it. Just covers for the sake of covers - no. But even then, a cover like Plush doing Baracuda was impressive in how incredibly well she did Ann’s vocals. Case by case…..

This makes wanna check out more covers of this song to hear which one I like best.

Darya is one Hell of singer 🔥❤️🔥
Best version ever! There is so much more dynamic in this one - much better than the disco-rock original!
yeah..cuz this version charted 🙄
Their cover of Detroit Rock City is insane! Blows this away

Yes, they have been on a few KISS podcasts. Big fans. I have never really listened to them. They have played here a few times.

Addie has pipes, but not a great choice for this song. I actually like her quite a bit.

NO! For what song?

It's a mini-movie.

@@victorycast. It’s an official music video which may not be your thing, hence why many of us didn’t mention it. But hey, who knows.
Sorry for the "by the ways" we TWA can't help it.
Nice reaction as always 👍
I agree with you totally on this one Rob . I'm gonna check out , 1980 Melbourne ....KISS .
I put the video for it on this reaction with the drop down link and at the end.
The first singer kinda starts off sounding like Parody Whitney.

You should do more effects to change your appearance. It was much easier to watch.
You may like The Carburetors' cover of Getaway.

The blonde over did it. Hate it when female singers try too hard to impress but they end up making themselves sound cringy as hell. The other singer 👍

Just sayin….. The Warning started out, and got noticed, doing covers….. just sayin…..
yeah but as children, not accomplished adult musicians like most of these acts.
