I only watch a few ytuber's nothing else. I'm always so busy I don't have time for anything else. Amy for some people that are no longer working or living with family the connection to social media is sometimes the only way that they have to be in touch with the rest of the world. Many are not connected with all the different ways that are available now. Facebook or you tube sometimes is all they have. 😊
I only use youtube I have facebook but never use it except to keep in touch with family. I am glad for the people like you tho because if i am feeling a little blue i can come on here and watch all the people i am subbed to and it lifts me up.

Always good to see you Amy. So many pros and cons to social media. I have really enjoyed following a ‘few’ RUclipsrs but feel that it is changing. Maybe it’s the burnout you talked about. I can understand that. Don’t think the negativity is going to get much better. I do think if a youtuber wants to leave their channel, they should at least let their loyal followers know that. If they were kind enough to follow you over the years it at least shows your appreciation.
I remember that too Amy. All those fun times before social media. I am very thankful for technology and face time etc. But I ask myself the same question all the time. Now in stores, no one talks to anyone anymore because even in stores people have their speakers in their ears are talking on their phones that way as they shop. Lol Nothing wrong with that but human beings don't look up and speak or have conversations like humans use to communicate. Again their is much good with technology and even more bad. Sad but true in my humble opinion. My grandchildren will never know the world we lived in except through our stories we share with them. Just block the nasty ones. After being off fb since 2019, I went back on it only to see pics of my great-nephew & great-niece who are little. I keep up with a niece & nephew-in-law who are pastors now in Kansas. I don't post very much at all. But watching you & "talking" to you has been a blessing for me, especially since I lost my hubby. Its been a rough year, but I know God will get us both thru the tough times & decisions we need to make. I've had to pray and give a lot of things over to God that were literally driving me crazy! Hi Amy, in answer to your question, I believe in not flooding yourself with social media. For instance, I only am on RUclips and Facebook. I don’t do TikTok, Instagram, Spotify etc. I am also choosy on who I am friends with and subscribe to. Maybe if you limit the amount of social media and refer the others to join RUclips or whatever outlet you choose, maybe you won’t feel so burned out. Of coarse, the decision is ultimately yours and you know what’s best for you. I hope this answers your question. I am a fan of your channel and will miss you just like the other RUclipsr that is quitting. Please keep us posted on what you decide to do.

I have quit the news. The only time I see news is accidental. I got too invested in all of it only to be so disapointed. I have FB and I have so many friends I have reconnected with on there and Family I talk to every day. I have instagram but barely go there...but Every once in a while. ❤ Thats about it....most if the time I listen to books and podcasts..
i deactivate my facebook a few times a year whenever it just becomes too much-i don't really need to know what every person on my friends list is doing at every moment-it's over stimulating to me at times. puts more thoughts in my head than i need. some say well don't deactivate it, just keep it up and don't go on it as much-but i am just not able to do that-if i have it active i'm gonna look that's just me. but anyway, to answer your question-yes, i get it and I think it's healthy and for me at least at times necessary to take s step back and disassociate from all of it to maintain some sense of balance. that's just me.

There are a lot of youtube channels talking about the reality show Sister Wives - What a sad mess that broken family ended up in. The world has lots of changes coming in 2025 - I personally watch Britt Gillette - Hope for our times - Messages for our time and others who share the gospel and the rapture coming. Honestly I'm amazed at how many buy stuff and live in a materialistic world on youtube - seems their never satisfied or just doing it for views such as Dollar Tree hauls - easy way to make a little cash - not judging just that's my opinion - Flu is going around - stay healthy and safe. You are so interesting, real, funny, beautiful, and cute, and make a hell of a lot of sense. I'd rather watch your vlogs than boring television. I hope next year brings more good times for you and Shane. Those road trips are the best, and you have opened my eyes to how beautiful it is to live in Oklahoma. My neice owns a nightclub in Nashville, TN, so I am anxious to visit her. Perhaps I will locate Tyler there and remind him how much he is loved and hope he is happy.

I have mixed feelings on this. I feel Facebook is for sharing photos etc if you talk politics ill un friend ya. Instagram can be super entertaining and I feel I can learn a lot if you follow the right content. RUclips is interesting because you can literally follow anyone around the world. What it comes down to is how much time you invest in it is totally up to you. As far as negativity that’s an instant Block. No one likes to be dismissed. But if that’s what it takes🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
Another thing.. Life can take a toll on people - I lost a best friend at the age of 57 in July 2024 who died from alcoholism we were friends for over 15 years then became distant as her personality changed - there have been many tragedies over the years and one thing I learned when times are hard is to talk to God instead of burdening my daughter or others - Jesus can lighten the load of worries that we carry and give us hope - the joy comes in ways we don't expect - I also listen to songs - Petra is one of my favorite bands - I saw them back in the 80s - sure I could start a youtube channel - there is always plenty to talk about - in a way social media can be very self serving so I can see why some backed away from it. Amy, my own 32 yr. old niece, told me today, she is wore out with being on so much , social media, that she alerted the family she is giving it a “ break”, it’s consuming her life & time everyday! I don’t do Facebook , I hear how it is full of so much negative, & I’m not about informing everybody & their brother of what I’m doing & when. I’m very old fashioned & miss the days of time that I grew up in . I guess to each their own. Right?! But yeah….. think of all the time we could indulge in Gods goodness or his word, or checking in on others who have no one, & how special we could make their day! 😉. I enjoy FB. It's a great way to stay in touch. I belong to a few local groups that are private and well managed and I just adore those groups of women. I've made a lot of new friends that I've had for over a decade now. Lots of support given and received. I'm not on IG much. I'll scroll sometimes but rarely post. There is no "community" there like I have on FB. I think social media is what you make of it. Much like anything else in life. And too much of anything is not a good thing. Strike a balance between SM and being present in real life.
I literally just told my non-social media husband that I’m planning to walk away from Facebook for at least a month or more. I’m 52 and spend entirely too much time on it. It is a way to keep up with friends and family but the negativity has gotten out of hand. I have Instagram as well but don’t post a lot there. I do want to start photography and reading more so that may be the only platform I keep in order to share pictures and book reviews. I have a handful of RUclips channels that I love, like yours, that I will continue following but Facebook is by far my nemesis. I really just want to take time away to focus on faith, family and fun. ❤

Life can take a toll on people - I lost a best friend at the age of 57 in July 2024 who died from alcoholism we were friends for over 15 years then became distant as her personality changed - there have been many tragedies over the years and one thing I learned when times are hard is to talk to God instead of burdening my daughter or others - Jesus can lighten the load of worries that we carry and give us hope - the joy comes in ways we don't expect - I also listen to songs - Petra is one of my favorite bands - I saw them back in the 80s - sure I could start a youtube channel - there is always plenty to talk about - in a way social media can be very self serving so I can see why some backed away from it. Amy, my own 32 yr. old niece, told me today, she is wore out with being on so much , social media, that she alerted the family she is giving it a “ break”, it’s consuming her life & time everyday! I don’t do Facebook , I hear how it is full of so much negative, & I’m not about informing everybody & their brother of what I’m doing & when. I’m very old fashioned & miss the days of time that I grew up in . I guess to each their own. Right?! But yeah….. think of all the time we could indulge in Gods goodness or his word, or checking in on others who have no one, & how special we could make their day! 😉. I enjoy FB. It's a great way to stay in touch. I belong to a few local groups that are private and well managed and I just adore those groups of women. I've made a lot of new friends that I've had for over a decade now. Lots of support given and received. I'm not on IG much. I'll scroll sometimes but rarely post. There is no "community" there like I have on FB. I think social media is what you make of it. Much like anything else in life. And too much of anything is not a good thing. Strike a balance between SM and being present in real life.
I literally just told my non-social media husband that I’m planning to walk away from Facebook for at least a month or more. I’m 52 and spend entirely too much time on it. It is a way to keep up with friends and family but the negativity has gotten out of hand. I have Instagram as well but don’t post a lot there. I do want to start photography and reading more so that may be the only platform I keep in order to share pictures and book reviews. I have a handful of RUclips channels that I love, like yours, that I will continue following but Facebook is by far my nemesis. I really just want to take time away to focus on faith, family and fun. ❤
