Gonna go ahead and call BS on the cell phone Raman. The CMOS camera in the cell phone is not nearly sensitive enough to measure the low photon counts that a CCD can do, which is required for most Raman measurements. Even a $2k CCD is not good enough for those applications, let alone a cheap phone with a less sensitive CMOS camera.
