Really very nice. Love the wooziness. It's it's own thing. But if it like anything reminds me a bit of the band Antena, and their album Camino Del Sol (with the percussion and cowbell) and also a bit of Boards of Canada. Maybe some Stereolab - Dots and Loops vibes on that guitar track with Rhett. Love that plucky muted bass tone and the washy guitar. Too many guitar based bands underestimate what a nice wash of lovely sounding synthesizer can do. But not you guys. Really nice drums under that cool slide riff. It's sort of like Portishead, but somewhere warm, humid and oceanic.

Hey Phillip I have a a squire c/v mustang bass and it’s a bit noisy!! Would it help to get a noise gate pedal or checking the grounding ie shielding the vacaties and pick guard??

The band Joywave released an album back on March 13, 2020 titled "Possession". The album cover is based on the Voyager "The Sounds of Earth" record, but it reads "The Sounds of Possession".
