Just impressive. I can say this channel is the reason I'm doing my first meet this weekend. Great stuff for sure, learned a lot and will see what I can do at 39 y/o.
That tip about chipping is really cool. Love seeing the little intricacies of competitive powerlifting on display, since for most it's typically a me against myself going for a PR type of mentality rather than strategic attempts in order to beat the competition.
Would be very curious what helped you get back to benching! I've been lifting for 13 years and a couple of months ago couldn't reliably bench 40kg, it's a real kick in the nuts when doing meet prep!
I have a question I hope you can help me with. I have really liked and appreciated your content/feedback within the community. How would you adjust training during periods of high cognitive and/or physical stress? Training was going very well for me and then I entered the second year of my PhD and all hell has broken loose.
That was great. You definitely had 395 and probably 400+ on this day (DL). Bench was still good even though you actually had to try on that lift. Bench has always kind of been your achilles heel. Although when you bench over 185 can you really call it an achilles heel? Great meet. Looking forward to what you put up at worlds.
Bryce, with the training app is it possible to modifi the programs for peaking to a shorter or longer time span? To meet the actual date for competition? Greetings from Holland
@@calgarybarbell So should it be called record of that weight class or no?? I mean shouldn't open world record be open, without weight class divisions? It is confusing.
Open world record is the common terminology referring to a record set in a given weight class. That’s why we don’t call it “heaviest deadlift ever”. It’s just following the commonly accepted language.
Yeah no worries. “Open” refers to the age category, if you’re wondering in the future. Open means age 23-39 (in the IPF) and usually denotes what people consider the most competitive group, and then all records and competitions are organized within given weight classes.
@@PinataOblongata its a squat, not a walk out + squat, i mean look at this shit, its unstable, they adjust it randomly for every person, so its different for every attempt, you are an idiot if you think this is the way it should be in 2021.
Thor might have been untested, with straps, and in a suit. But Bryce pulled sumo which makes Thors lift way more impressive because 400kg sumo is about as hard as 180kg conventional.
I'd love to see 180kg conventional puller try 400kg Sumo. I'll concede if the guy can even break it off the floor like an inch! Oh wait, I actually can pull over 180kg conventional so maybe I should give it a try 🤣🤣 World record here I come!!
Eric Bugenhagen once said that if you can pull it once…you can pull it twice. And you proved that to be true

Love the irony of setting a world record while conservatively holding back so you can peak for the next competition!

Damn the form on all the lifts are so clean
yeah, especially the bench right.

So awesome to watch man!!!
4:30 I love that they put "The Number of the Beast" from Iron Maiden just for you 🤘 that is what is up.
12:30 Judge with the blue tie shakes his head in disbelief lmao ( mentions it 14:20 )
Crikey, I was wondering if they were loading fake plates the way those weights were moving...amazing
Fantastic lifts and textbook form, as usual. Bryce deadlifts like a robot; every pull looks exactly the same.
How controlled everything is makes all your lifts look like an RPE 7.5
You're a monster buddy. Those judges got me good in 2019 on depth sitting way behind. Should of done the walk out method you suggest.
Congrats on a successful meet and a great win, Bryce!! Best of luck at the Worlds! 🔥🔥
Awesome! Great job Bryce. This is easily one of my favorite channels on YT. 🏋️
Awesome performance! Looking forward to your Worlds performance! Best of luck at the 400/408.5!

Nicely done Bryce!!
Incredible numbers. Best of luck for the world champs.
Killing it bro! Keep it up! Always inspired in watching. Congrats!
Time to pull 420 at Worlds 😤
Bryce will be the first to pull 900+ in IPF?!? Without a doubt!
That was awesome! Great job Bryce and good luck in Sweden, I will be rooting you on from CowTown ;)
Cobgrats man!!
if I am not mistaken Krzysztof Wierzbicki pulled over 900lbs/408kg in the IPF
Great channel. Love your approach to training... Good luck at world's.
...and you owe the loaders a beers making them load so much!
Form check Friday-ing yourself to flex on us, unbelievable 😩🤪
Congratulations

Bryce "Alex" Krycek. The truth is out there.

Amazing meet- but the crackling of that audio makes this really hard to watch.
Yeah the livestream was….. rough

Get to the gym and listen to death metal mate. Only thing to do. Look forward.
If you will pull 400kg at worlds it will be highest IPF deadlift in international meet lets get it.
I believe the highest ever drug tested pill is Mark Henry with 903 back in the day
Your insane! Congrats man 👍
To anyone questioning how this is a world record. This guy is EASILY 100lbs less than Thor when he did his pull clearly on juice.
Congrats

I've been saying the squat has been looking great and for some reason you have been dogging it in training...well done my friend

For Polish people your last name sounds pretty common ;)
to this day we miss Krzysztof Krawczyk

You switched to raw lifting? I know I saw previous videos of you in a suit/shirt training

Did they forget to start the timer on your 385 DL attempt?or was that the extra attempt?
His numbers look the same as mine! The units not so much though lol
400 definitely there
So sick 🙌🏽
I think it's pronounced Dillon Jacked-o-Back
Please someone explain me, how it is world record while Wierzbicki is doing it in -105 kg raw in IPF? I don't understand.
Because he’s a different weight class?

I thought Bryce had already pulled 400kg in a meet ?

Judge @ 12:33 was not impressed.
Mannn why doesnt everyone use monolifts in comps?
Because they are cumbersome. The IPF and affiliates are trying to get powerlifting in the Olympics and the olympic committee wants minimal equipment.
