@@athenecook2247 yeah but I still feel this version is better. I think her version is way too pitchy in the og. I get it is supposed to be teenage angst but I still feel dreadlight did if better with the more mature sound. It kind of sounds like an old paramore song.
After being forced to listen to the original 30x by preteen figure skaters, I feel like this is what the song is supposed to be, whereas the original sounds more upset than angry, and a bit childish, which may be a personal bias and limitation of the singer, but either the style tried to remain too upbeat against the lyrics, or didn’t go enough into raw anger as a composition
Dude i listened to the original and thought her voice reminded me of something and turns out yall did a cover anyways
A bit misleading, the original is already rock/ pop- rock... listen to the instrumentation and melodic values of each instrument. This is a heavier version. Rock is making its way back into the charts through 'modern day rock', as opposed to 'older rock' like ACDC (just an for example)...Though really like this version too! 🤘
