- Josh Mitchnick was born on a boat and has spent the rest of his life in trees - it'd seem he knows a thing or two about balance. After his very first Onewheel ride Josh was dropping philosophical nuggets the likes of which we'd never heard. That's when we knew we needed to know more about this stoke master, tree sensei. In this Onewheel Presents we go for a climb with Josh and learn how his time as a professional arborist has shaped his perspective on life, pushing the limits and riding Onewheel.

I worked with Joshua on many tree jobs and milled wood with him in maui. He is one of the coolest dudes I know. Never a dull moment, always up for some adventure , very artistic, and has a keen eye. Best arborist on the island. Aloha braddah 🤙
Fellow Onewheeler and arborist here. It’s hard to explain but they really do weirdly seem to go hand in hand. I think it’s possibly the lifestyle of chasing fun and adrenaline, not being scared of the “what if’s” that come with doing anything risky. Life is extremely short, so I’d rather spend it doing really fun stuff. Also, I’ve never brought my onewheel onto the job before (mostly out of fear of a tree falling on it), but I’m heavily considering it after watching this video. Would make lugging all our gear back and forth from the truck a lot more fun lol.

Take your time w/your research. I bought a Pint and learned the fundamentals. I sold it and now have an XR. My OW has impacted my life(positively) in ways I never saw coming! Be prepared to be addicted and always wear your safety gear ➖🟢➖☁️💜

You definitely should I’ve had my plus for 2 years now and pint for 1 and they have had no issues at all and I ride them daily for hours at a time best purchase I’ve ever made hands down.I have ebikes escooters boosted boards and over all that I choose my onewheel because it never dies.I’m 12 years old and I learned everything about it (not much to know it’s so simple)and have become what I like to think is a pro onewheeler. Lol
Do it bro you will not regret it. Well besides the Facebook ads. You'll get more than you do now 🤣 (there's a good reason for it)

@@325randomBROS Tough question but happy to help :) Pint is $950 which is an absolute steal considering it unlocks endless joy, mischief, and a sense of oneness with the universe. It’s a pint-sized stoke-machine and easy to take with you on the go and perfect for cruisers. XR is the world's ultimate shredding device. It eats trails for breakfast and gets up to 18 miles a charge. Ultimately it's up to you, but you really can't lose here. @Kris-__- Ultimately comes down to budget and what you want to do with it. Personally I started with a pint because for me $1800 right off the bat was a tough pill to swallow, and I think it was genius of OW to make a budget entry model for people on the fence. However, if you have the money and end up really enjoying it, you WILL end up wanting to upgrade to an XR, that’s just a guarantee in my experience simply because of the speed and mileage you get out of it. However for street riding in situations in which you aren’t going very far, I find the pint to be the most fun to ride. With its smaller size it gives a lot of extra mobility so that you’re able to “shred” more than you can on an XR. So TL;DR- if you want to use it primarily to commute on roads/sidewalks, and the pint’s range is acceptable for that commute back and forth, start with a pint. If you want to use it primarily for trail riding, off-roading, OR commuting but the range of the pint isn’t sufficient to comfortably make the trip back and forth every day, I would advise spending the extra money so you don’t get let down by the pint’s range and end up giving up riding because of that (sadly seen that happen a couple times). Whatever you end up doing, prepare for a learning curve, took me about a month of going back and forth in my apartment for hours every day to be completely comfortable riding forwards and backwards. Don’t get discouraged, and prepare to have a LOT of fun. :)

Another unmentioned fact about Joshua Mitchnick- He is a fantastic Taijiquan Push Hands players, and he doesn't practice this much. He finds his root from everything he's mentioned + several of his practices he didn't mention - slack-lining and kung fu training.

I would be concerned with their support process after seeing these UNANSWERED (according to the BBB) complaints. It looks as if Future-Motion has a customer service issue and doesn't even answer these claims. If they had a good customer service program it is so easy to just take the time to write a response! Seriously, how hard is it to answer the claim against their reputation? Shows they might have a really bad customer service department and in fact, looks like they don't follow through with customer service? Matthew Brodman I use my onewheel as my primary commuter vehicle every day for around 7 months of the year. If I lived in a warmer climate it would be every day all year long, but once it hits freezing the 4x4 truck comes out of retirement. If you are an adult with a full time job, if you’re able to save the money, which may take some time, but if you can, it’s honestly essentially the same as buying a new (very very cheap) car. Ive found in my experience, my commute to work takes roughly the same amount of time it would take by car (possibly 2-3 minutes longer? I timed it once but can’t remember), and it’s 110% more fun. Pretty sure after almost 2 years I’ve already made back my money and then some just from cutting gas costs.
