over00lord Unknown It does require collision, which is why it's called "bump" posession, guilty spark cannot be collided with even when alive since he is always hovering around, they didn't want spark getting in your way or killing you from how fast he is moving around since velocity/vehicle damage is 90000

Could you shoot the animated assault rifles on the 343 guilty spark map? Could you kill the gun underneath a spirit but keep the spiret alive? Are doors and other (Machines) destructible. I think you can see the pelican death animation if you are in the right place and right time on the mission silent cartographer when that pelican crashes on the beach supposedly bringing you heavy weapons
In Halo 1, there's a secret ending where you have to jump on Fohammer's pelican to activate it. And when you get down on the flood infested ground of the Halo, there is a crashed pelican with about 6-8 Marines there. That's where the animation cones in when you destroy a pelican
The crewman in the seats can be killed without mods. If you shoot them in the head, they will become invincible, but if you body shoot them, they will die.
According to old trailers for the original game, there were lines and photos that suggested that you could originally fly the pelicans to use in multiplayer but this was apperently scrapped. I think the death animation for pelicans is just an artifact, like the flamethrower in the xbox release.

the explosion effect came from halo reach where carter dies and since halo combat evolved has a mix of halo 1 and halo reach it shares the animations from each game. boom theres an awnser XD
I could never replay a game's campaign as much as I did in Halo 1 and 2. Maybe because I was only just a kid. MGS2 was the only other game that came close.
You should do Halo 2. If I'm not mistaken there's about 4 characters that are invincible. It would also be cool to see who's piloting the phantoms in Halo 2..... If you haven't already done that.

You might be right I would believe somewhat of a script would not be able to occur but then again it might be just a script as in terms of movie scene if they have it set up like that in the cut scene when he grabs the key I'm not fully sure myself though so you could be right or I don't know but I'm sure enough Halo 2 and Halo 3 might have more consequences would killing characters since their scripts weren't mainly default to just drop they are mainly to guide on the whole game

I have a theory that the marines have a special set of ammo against spartans who betray the UNSC and they grabbed those when they busted into the cockpit to take down the chief.
For the bump possession for guilty spark, what if you don’t kill him but try and touch him if he were to fly low enough. OR use the trainer to pause time and touch him like that? Dunno may work :)

The only way to escape after killing a crewmate is by freezing time with a mod and going out the door before it closes or using an instant-kill mod.
