Very nice start! A studio you may want to keep an eye out on is Vinegar Syndrome. The vast majority of their titles are not for the vast majority of people I will admit. Their OOP release of RAD is great. An 80s movie with a young Lori Laughlin about BMX biking. Soon to be released The Amityville Horror. Then their is their special VSU line with only three titles so far with the fourth being announced September 23. They have special magnet clasp boxes with booklets. Very nice releases.

I chose the former and to this day don’t buy a release if the slip is missing, with very few exceptions. It’s more expensive per title, but it keeps my collection from growing too fast as well. I would recommend a 4K TV. They’re now reasonable in price and there’s a lot of 4K content to enjoy today. As far as HD vs Ultra HD discs, it comes down to each individual movie. Some discs were given better care and more attention to detail than others. That’s where reviews on RUclips are helpful. Lots of good titles old and new out there though!

I couldn’t give two shits about slipcovers. All they do is add more cost to an already expensive hobby. All we should care about, as FILM collectors, are the MOVIES inside the case. The film transfer…. The sound quality…. The special features…. That’s it.

Slips are nice but I just care to get the movie and I'm not going to pay more for something just because it looks prettier.
They are very cool and i love 4K but i just find them too expensive still. I will buy more but when prices on the used market drop quite a fair bit
