Do a 2 point rotation & only do 1-2 passes so that u are not getting too close to your scalp. This will allow your locs to expand more than a 3 or 4 point rotation would. This is how I have been maintaining my locs. I want to add that I also go 2-3 months in between reties & for as many locs that I have they’re pretty thick. Less is always more when it comes to locs. Hope this helps!

Yepp What he or she said in addition to using the FoliGrowth supplement internally and lemongrass oil topically. (Dilute with some Sweet Almond Oil)
If you Must, Use Oils That Are Super Light, Similar to your natural sebum- So it won’t leave any heavy, nasty residues!
The castor oil on your edges is fine though, After water you can seal in the moisture for your Edges with a heavier oil. I hope This helps 🙏🏽 🤞🏽 ✨

Did your styles put any lock gel on your hair? If so, when did she apply it cause I didn't see her do it in the video. I have been twisting my son's hair (9 yrs old) and I am still trying to find the method that holds his hair. Thanks!

She used the product right before she started twisting it.

Hey sis did you experience any thinning from going that long without one? I see so many people saying if you don’t at least retwist every 8-10 weeks your locs will thin 😩

Only on certain ones that are already kinda thin but my loc lady will crochet it back so I wasn’t too worried.. I don’t usually go that long before getting a retwist for that reason tho.

They can, but there is ways to nullify that thinning, when your new growth grows outside of your loc, split that new growth in to 2 individual thick strands, and using your loc too (this will act as the third strand) braid the new growth in to the loc, this will allow the new growth to growth with the loc and causing them to be thicker as they mature
