I think you are largely misunderstanding that the collecting community and the gaming community is not completely the same circle. Just because there is a version that is "better" to play something doesn't always mean that it is the most collectable version
Look at fifa 19 on ps3, it sells for £20 where on ps4 it’s £2 so I agree with you completely often it’s the worst title are the rarest because they didn’t sell well
Top video mate, as always! Ive only been doing RUclips for about a year, and very in frequently at that, and its so dificult to keep up with while also working full time!
Cex have split the 360 on their website into 2 categorys. Generic cheap common games are in the 360 section and all the expensive collectible ones are in the 360 rarities category which includes splatterhouse for example
King Kong not a good game ? I think a lot of people will disagree there, that game is beloved and for its time an incredible game, actually still holds up today
Bikini squad is a wierd one because it got a remake on ps4 ps5 and pc and that is currently on sale on sonys store for less than 20 and its a night and day improvement with cell shaded graphics and 60fps gameplay and loads of new outfits.
100% agree on the hard to work and make videos for YT. I think a lot of people don't realise the amount of work required to run a channel, especially solo, and to have the success you have!
Popular games released in cardboard or big box packaging will always go up in value a lot more then games in plastic durable cases. Its all a case of how many survive in good condition and in the case of cardboard packaging its often not many.
I will most likely get games for the xbox 360 as that system is special so I have a list of what I wanting however with PS2 I am mainly using it to get movie/ TV based games as there would be a list of things I used to watch :) glad you are better
The answer to all this is dont think about the price of these things, they are just games, not antiques. Yes I've bought very expensive games in my time but I always try to collect the opposite of what is popular at the time. I dont mean I collect anything and everything, I just change the focus of the areas of my collection so I'm not following trends. Plus a lot of retro is coming down again, not to what it was but its dropping slowly as its not what the newest "adults" remember from being kids.
Makes very little sense checking the values so often . Oh it's £15 now cool, i only paid £4 . A week later its £9 oh I've lost money. Its like crypto buy games you want to collect and can afford
Xbox have never been good to collect if you're looking for an investment especially 360 the discs scratch too easily even the machine scratches the discs sometimes, you would be better getting more Ps4 games while the prices are low.
As a software developer i find it wierd how people chase after increasing a digital integer number on a computer screen. But i guess thats what people did with high scores on arcade machines back in the 70s / 80s.
You're doing a fantastic job! Just a quick off-topic question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (mistake turkey blossom warfare blade until bachelor fall squeeze today flee guitar). How can I transfer them to Binance?
You say the best time to buy etc etc...but i have a nes, with gun, and cardboard games and it's hasn't really moved for 2 years... waiting a short period has no real value, we're now in a period where 50 - 60 years has value. More people are aware of time vs value vs price and we will evening see a nes at £80 - £99 years value being the peak. Purley because that was the peak at the current time. Give the ps3 60 - 70 years and the story will be different.... it's just time.... and availability.…
True, but eventually the NES games will go the direction of Atari 2600 where the game players / collectors for it (Most born in the 1980s / early 90s) are so old nobody apart from a niche few will still collect them. I doubt Gen Z for eg cares much about a 1980s game that looks primative to them by todays standards.
I work 50 hours a week, have 3 kids, and do 2 videos a week. Guess I must be Superman.. I have to point out the biggest reason Ps2 games are very cheap....is because they sold so many and are still very common....duh. The TMNT game you were referring came out on Xbox 360 and Ps2 at the same time so it wasn't a 'Ps2 original'....I was working in Woolworths when it came out. 😂
@Waynesworldofgaming It's pretty tough isn't it? 😂 I would love to drop a day of work to focus on my channel, but I'd need at least 4x the number of subs and views I currently get.

how to say you know nothing with a lot of words
Surely most buy retro games because of the nostalgia value not financial.
2nd video in nearly a month for CEX credit

Happy new year! 🎉

It's tough, but it can depend on the types of videos you do to some degree. I think he's just not used to having a job personally...😂
@@gameshack1985yer there’s ppl who have jobs, kids and relationships to maintain while making content guy jus isn’t used to work ahah

Love your videos watch alot of gaming videos but yours and fully playable games are the two i really look forward to
Tvm trades his channel for cex credit

Oh also the Ps2 version of king kong is actually a better version than the 360 one, it even looks better when played on a CRT...
Please un private the fifa 13 mcgeady 1nup series I wanna re live my childhood :(

Yeah I feel like he needs a hobby that isn’t checking Cex prices online every single day
King kong is a great game, better than any of the trash you play.
PS3 in the UK came out in March 2007. Full 18 months later and it was £700.
Or £600. But still a lot higher than £270 which was the price of the 360 on Launch.

Would love a Jak & Daxter remaster
it had on the ps3 the hd remaster
@Bird-Birdy-Love I'm talking about a modern remaster built on unreal engine 5
I’d play a game on 360 over PS2 for gamerscore purposes, it’s like an added incentive
As a software developer i find it wierd how people chase after increasing a digital integer number on a computer screen. But i guess thats what people did with high scores on arcade machines back in the 70s / 80s.
@ I know what you mean, it can suffocate a gaming experience by chasing trophies or score but that’s why I said it just gives added incentive
Xbox360 was a great console at its time I've had many and many red rings of death too 😂 Cheers Tvm
