Thanks for this! Yudina doesn't just play these pieces, she inhabits them. No excess bathos, simple, unassuming but with natural lyrical deep feeling. I am an old fool but I can never listen to the first mvt. without crying. :)

l have listened to many performances of the first intermezzo and to my ears Maria's is the best.Love the cat!.
