Pros on the shampoo: Good lather. You dont need a lot Cleaned my hair really well Cons: Smells like laundry detergent The trial size busted as I tried to squeeze the product out It has sulfates in it so it stripped my hair
I only have the leave in conditioner and I love it it prevents my hair firm getting too frizzy and after a few days I can just dampen my hair and add some f it and my curls come right back
MIXED CHICKS PRODUCTS IS A WIN Love this video you should definitely do more your hair so beautiful and mixed chicks defines it even more love LOVE MIXED CHICKS and yes sorry for responding late but hey I'm still watching your video in 2020 dats a good thing those curls poppin ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You are spoiling me this December! LOL. I'm loving the videos. Thank you! Because of your video, I will be giving this trio a shot. I have been looking for an arsenal for summer and I like the fact that you mentioned that the products are light. Thank you for your review. It was helpful!
You're so pretty!!! I also have a channel and I was trying to find out if I wanted to use this product or not. I'm thinking about doing a review and my. Thanks for this video so I know whether or not it was good to try out.
You say that the leave-in is moisturizing but you stated that it was used while deep conditioner was still in your hair? Have you tried using it alone to see how it stands on its own?
The only Mixed Chicks product I have ever tried is their leave in conditioner and I absolutely loved it. I am thinking about purchasing the deep conditioner but I will have to check the price on that product. I am sorry but the reason I quit buying their leave in was because the price jumped from $11.99 to $21.99 and I was not going to pay that much for a hair product. I loved their leave in and it left my hair feeling so soft and smooth but $21.99, and I was in my undergrad program at the time, on a budget. I may treat myself and get a bottle once a year, because it did work wonders on my hair but that is about it, once a year. I may even try their deep conditioner and see how that works but I cannot believe their products are that expensive, unbelievable.
+JeweJewe Bee I can afford it now but I am being cheap. I was actually looking for it today at Walmart but I didn't see it there. It is funny to see you doing a review on it now. It is a good product, and I know my tresses love the leave-in. I cannot speak for the other products because I have never tried any of those but I have heard that the deep conditioner is really good. Thanks for responding. Anyway, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone! God bless!
I have been maintaining my daughter's natural hair for 10 years now, and she naturally came out with a great texture of nice long length hair, but I've have noticed some breaking recently. I'm looking for a new hair care line for excessively dry hair. Do you recommend this product for someone who wears protective styles alot? I braid my daughter's hair once every two weeks for convience reasons. I wash twice a month, because of course protective styles like braids last long. I've been hearing about this product for a while ..Is this a good product for protective styles. Rightantu but I don't like the dryness it gives her hair..
Hope you don't mind me chiming in. From my understanding it varies. It can be anywhere from 2 weeks to 4 months in order to achieve maximum hydration. As long as you are consistent and using the right products and techniques.
+Ebonnee Nelson I think doing it every day or every couples of days for the first week or more will speed up the process. And then you can gradually spread it out to twice per week etc. the more you wet/cowash the faster you will see the results. Once you've reached the point of max hydration then you stretch it out to every 3-5 days or 1x per week sealing in the moisture with an oil. So experiment and see what your hair prefers.
Thanks for your review! I am not mixed (directly) but I definitely have a mixed hair texture and my hair dresser told me to use more products specifically for mixed race hair. So I might give this a go. My hair is mid back length and is curly when wet but wavy when dry
You make me want to try this line but I've been avoiding them since that #teamlighskin mess (ig'nant) Idk if I'm being petty or not lol but I would at least wanna try a close dupe to it
YOUR HAIR IS GOALS AND LIFEEE! ALIIVVEE lol. But i don't used mixed chicks cause the product in itself is discriminatory, as thought giving people the conscious that if they buy it there hair will look mixed. The product doesn't say it but its like naming a product "white girls" 😂😂😂 like that bleach cream called miss white with dark skins on the cover. Its bad advertising and propaganda :-/ that's why I don't buy it, I want then out of business.
I have the same thoughts about the product. The name has always put me off from buying it. It's as if you have to be mixed to have curly hair or that "mixed" curly hair is different from non mixed curly hair so they need a special product. I dunno just hate the name.
lol on the bottle it says whether you're black white carribean Mexican (there are more but i forgot)a combination of the above then join us in the unity of something (I forgot) it was created by to biracial sisters
It's exactly what grace said. It doesn't mean mixed race chicks. They mean mixed as in a mix of nationalities can use the products white black Asian Hispanic whatever.
I will never buy mixed chicks products ever again it lengthens my wash day no slip at all hate this line I just finished using it for the first and last time
I use this product with Eco styler gel and it lasts all week. U just have to add a gel since this is a leave in conditioner not a "holding" product.
Pros on the shampoo:
Good lather. You dont need a lot
Cleaned my hair really well
Cons:
Smells like laundry detergent
The trial size busted as I tried to squeeze the product out
It has sulfates in it so it stripped my hair
The deep conditioner is really hard to get out of the trial size bottle, maybe that's why they sell it in a jar. But it spreads well and very soft
You hair looks great with the products! Cantu is the only product line I trust with my hair. But this looks great! 😊💝
Happy Holidays. ⛄️😊
+Onya Russell Thanks loverly! And yeah, Cantu is great! And Merry Christmas lovely :)))
I only have the leave in conditioner and I love it it prevents my hair firm getting too frizzy and after a few days I can just dampen my hair and add some f it and my curls come right back

Your hair is so beautiful!
You say that the leave-in is moisturizing but you stated that it was used while deep conditioner was still in your hair? Have you tried using it alone to see how it stands on its own?
+ThisOwl I responded/ answered that with the question you left on my Winter Routine :)
so glad you are doing more videos!
+Leilani Joseph Thank you :)

Love mixed chicks too!

How long did it take for your hair to get used to the curly girl method? I tried the curly girl method and my hair acted as if I put nothing on it.
Hope you don't mind me chiming in. From my understanding it varies. It can be anywhere from 2 weeks to 4 months in order to achieve maximum hydration. As long as you are consistent and using the right products and techniques.
+ThisOwl do you have to do it every couple of days for results?or can you just wash your hair once per week and you see changes?

+ThisOwl thank you for the information
+Ebonnee Nelson You are most welcome. I hope it all works out for you!

I'm gonna buy this now 😂❤❤❤❤
We need these in FIJI!!! 😩
Great review! 😁
Do you ever get trims? What's the time period you do them in (every 6 weeks, every 4 weeks)? How much do you trim?
+Lauren Patterson Yes, about every 3-4 months and as much as needed.
Can you do a video on products you love and hate?
+Karlee Craziness Yes lovely!! :))
I love mixed chicks I have it.
there is a bigger bottle for the deep conditioner
As well as leave in and shampoo. I believe they all come in a liter size bottle
Is it used only for curly hair
Leave in conditioner is used to supposedly for any race
So pretty!
I love it !! New subscriber
+Keisha Slade Thank you!
what products do you currently use?
+Da'Von Drew I recently uploaded a winter routine video with the products that I'm currently using.
You make me want to try this line but I've been avoiding them since that #teamlighskin mess (ig'nant) Idk if I'm being petty or not lol but I would at least wanna try a close dupe to it
what teamlightskin thing? i don't use them bcs the name lmao. as if 'mixed' hair is something special lol
is it good to mix different conditioners with oils
What do you use to grow your hair
Whats the process when using these products shampoo first then conditioner then put in the moisturizer or what?
+David Moore shampoo, deep conditioner, then the leave-in
is she mixed?
Yes, I am
+JeweJewe Bee Funny, so am i.
+JeweJewe Bee What are u mixed with u dont look like the typical black and white mix i actually thought you were fully black
Maliyah Glenn she is black and Mexican/Hispanic
Grace Njue Mexican and Hispanic are both not races wtf?
What's your porosity?
+Kyla King It's medium

Lia mitchell She is mixed
Ms. Smith There is tons of different things you could be mixed with smh
YOUR HAIR IS GOALS AND LIFEEE! ALIIVVEE lol. I agree with u
lol on the bottle it says whether you're black white carribean Mexican (there are more but i forgot)a combination of the above then join us in the unity of something (I forgot) it was created by to biracial sisters

Does this product contain any sulfates, silicones, parabens or mineral oil?
Zurianna Martin No, it does not. I recommend this product because it is hydrating and natural.
Zurianna Martin the shampoo does contain sulfate, but there’s another one called sulfate free shampoo
I will never buy mixed chicks products ever again it lengthens my wash day no slip at all hate this line I just finished using it for the first and last time
And... she's a mixed chick so fully Blac sistas , don't expect your hair to look this.
My hair is just as loose as hers, if not more loose than hers but I’m not biracial. 🙄 I mean, I have mixed ancestry but not biracial.
