Heather Assis ya it is very hard now a days to find these systems in fully working order usually the CD player stops working on them and the tape players stop working on them to. But I took the tape player out because it did not work on it but ya they are good little systems!
Tape deck issues on the Awias are an easy fix, just the belts need replacing. However, depending on the model, the CD players tend to be less easy. Sometimes, it is the rubber shock absorbers, which can easily be replaced. However, it can also be something more complex, such as a broken gear or laser, both of which are impossible to find,
Ugly af. I had many issues with the cd changer mechanism. It's too complicated. Mine had slightly different speakers but the main unit was exactly the same
It is a piezo it is always a piezo. Even on the highest end model of Aiwa it was a horrible piezo. The tweeters on some of these are really not too good. Some of the cheap ones are totally giant boxes like this, but then they have 5.25 inch plastic full range drivers with teeny magnets, more like a micro system would have, along with the smallest piezo in the world. This appears to be one of the middle of the road models, and it probably has a 6 inch speaker with a plastic frame, a tweeter, and a piezo. The cheapest was the naj10, which released maybe a little earlier. I have the highest end 3 way model, which has a 6.5 inch metal frame woofer, and a 2.5 inch mid-tweeter. It has a real crossover as well. The particle board is thick, and actually braced. The components are made in China, but it claims to be assembled in the USA. And... It still has a piezo.

No I got this out of the garbage and I cleaned the inside and re did the whole thing but I will look on eBay and cregslist👍

The Siamese Rat actually the bass is really good I would definitely recommend you buy it .
