Hi Che' and Ashley hope all is well. That was a fun maiden flight with the F-86 and if the gear was better it would have been perfect. So nice to see you out flying,it's been a while since I've seen you both.Happy New Year to you both.
Don! Thanks for taking the time to watch. This was a lot of funa nd much needed to get out and fly this jet, even though the maiden did not go as planned. But does anything go according to plan? lol Cheers
A buddy brought the F-86 out about a month ago. He said it flew great, very solid. (I expect nothing less from Freewing. Every one of their jets I’ve bought are just a joy to fly)
Bummer! I was wondering how it was going to go with a big battery that far forward, its a sweet flyer once you get it dialed in! Let us know what do for better gear, Mines all stock yet.
Thanks for watching man! I will see what I can come up with. I am glad that I have Room to move the battery farther back with the mods, but I still think it would benefir from a 4500 or a 5000. Cheers
@@hamiltonshangar Alot relocate the esc so they can move the battery back enough, on mine the battery goes up against the esc. Do the wheel/tail test before the next flight. Good luck!
Che’ Awe. Sorry to see that happen. I just put one of the HP versions together. I think the 6s 5000 is really max for this bird. 4000s are ideal. What I always heard. Plus, Flight CG they say is best when you can barely touch the aft section of the fuselage and it tips back just barely. That’s from what I seen in other reviews. Good luck getting her fixed and 2nd maiden. 👋👍😊
I am thinking what you heard is defintely true. At least you can say it can take a 6k, it just does not like it lol. Cheers man and thank you for watching. We will definitely get her all fixed up!
Thanks bro! Some adjustments to make for sure, startting with some new gear lol. Even though I only flew her once, she still flies okay. I have had worse. Thank you for taking the time to watch!
DAMMM. 10 Degrees. That's pretty cold. Awesome to see the DYNAMIC DUO out for some flying. Dial that beast in and it'll fly awesome great to see you two 😀 👍🏻
Great maiden Che. Ashley always enjoying the video. This Old Man from Washington NC has really enjoyed watching y'all grow in our Hobby. Love you two ✈️🧔💝💝
You have and old jet with analog servos and plastic trunion gear assuming you bought it used? If you get a new set of gear it will be metal and much stronger
Hamilton great vid… the gears do suck for that model. However, once you get it going (I.e. upgrade motor to high performance and lighten load with 4000 or 5000 pack) she is a beast. I love mine. It screams when racing by. Good luck with those retractable gears. I had to make do with mine.
@@hamiltonshangar I had one that size I built from fiberglass and foam. Used a 2 stroke ducted fan engine. Flew like a rock solid trainer. So it should fly solid next time with some balancing. Good luck!
5000 all the way back will give you good cg .. she will be back 👍🏻👍🏻 do the balance test .. push tail all the way down ,then let go of it the nose should come down slowly ..
All 3 of my gear popped out of my Freewing F-86 Sabre and the stock motor was horribly Under Powered. Everybody Raves about that Jet but mine has been a sad dissapointment
Well...the f86 had about a .55 to 1 thrust to weight ratio in the full scale aircraft...so with this setup you have about twice the thrust to weight ratio of the real aircraft...i know lots of us like to have our models accelerate vertically...lol...im sure the guys flying in Korea would have loved to have had a thrust to weight ratio of this model....not until the F16 was a single engine fighter in that better than 1to 1. Scale flying can be difficult but so rewarding....try a 4000 and she will fly more like the toy you are looking for!
A tip I learned is that if you balance the jet right with the battery and push the tail down so it very slowly rises on its main gear you can do wheelie landings just like the real ones. This jet is near perfect for "wing walk" landings if balanced right. ruclips.net/video/RquFUXuGShQ/видео.htmlsi=ypmFdt6mNkRDOzQt

You ll get er dialed in! With that weather, not a bad maiden at all! I'm several hrs south an its been cold! Thanks for sharing✌️

Yes indeed cold!! Thank you for watching!
Love your energy Che
Good work Team Hamilton. The jet did not like the cold weather any more than I do. It's a beautiful looking bird. I'm sending warm thoughts your way.
Thank you Mike!! The cold weather sucks!! But I still have to get a little flying in, if possible! Cheers

Hope so! Sorry I missed this one!
Camera went out of focus because it was so cold, it didn't want to work either?
Maybe! Electronics are always questionable in freezing conditions. Thank you for watching! Cheers
I use those rxs with my Radiomaster, there rock solid
Heck yeah man nice!! I swear by them

Yes I got it for a real low price lol, I will snag some new gear for sure! Thanks for watching Nate!
Seemed like it was going good til the landing…no way it should feel underpowered with that set up in there!! Should be moving good!
I think it was just that it was nose heavy! Cheers man thank you for watching I hope you have a great day today

I will have to do that and snag some new gear! lol thank you for watching man!
