- Part 1 of a Stop Motion project I've been working on for some time now. It took a lot of work, but I'm so proud of how it came out.
The war for Cybertron has been raging for thousands of years, and after the disappearance of the leaders of both the Autobot and Decepticon factions, it shows no sign of slowing down. But when Commander Hot Spot is captured, the Autobot's ambitious, top secret plan is at risk of being leaked to the Decepticons, which could spell a terrible defeat for them all. Cliffjumper, Arcee and Bumblebee are the only ones who have any hope of rescuing him before it's too late. The clock is ticking, and the pressure is on.

To start, you did a really, REALLY nice job with the stop motion of this video. The animation are for the most part quite smooth, and the action is quite fun.
Also, I have to give you credid for the backrounds. A simple use of cardboard walls, and yet it fits the war devastated field very well. That, and the idea for the "flames" was executed very nicely. Especially with the lighting of the scene.
And as for the "hight-lights", 4:17 Starscream's molog is written well, and thank's to the voice acktor, it make's it enterteining to watch. It is preaty much my favorite part (well that, and view od the Bumbelbee's jokes

HOWEVER, as much as I like the video as an whole, I have 2 nitpick's regarding the script ex.
10:10 Maybe it is just me, but this scene made Cliff look quite dumb.
I get it that he was in heat of the situetion at all, but still, WHAT WAS HE THINKING EXACLY?
He just lost a battle, a battle on Decepticons terf. So, the closest thing to a medic, would been one from Decepticons . Again, I get this is suppoustu be a dramatic scene, but it make's Cliffjumper look like a Dumbass. Especially after Bee mentioned that the place is full of Cons on patrol.
15:37 Quec question, what kind of reaction Bumbelbee expeckted exacly?
Like, he admitted him self that he was a coward, that he could do better yet, he still ran off. And yet, he's suprized that Cliff got pissed at him?
I can understand this exposition was needed for Bee's backstory, but like with Cliff ealier, it made him look kinda dumb. By doing something with out thinking what he's doing, and yet been suprized at negative consequences of his actions.
Other than these conplaints, I have no problem saying that the video is a dicent start for the story later. And I'm more then curioes to see where it goes next.
@@dedalionarts6077 Thanks for the feedback! I'm always looking for ways to improve. however, i just wanted to respond to the some of the comments:
1. Yes, the field was crawling with cons, but Cliffjumper was so desperate. He was hoping for anybody to help Jazz out. I just thought about what I would do in that situation, and if it was my best friend. Of course I would want to try and save him, and in that moment emotion took hold of him, making him irrational and fanatic. But I can understand how that may come across to some people. I'll keep this in mind moving forward.
2. Bumblebee wasn't really surprised, he was more so disappointed in himself. He didn't really argue against it or even stand up for himself, as he knew this was true. And Cliff was still running high on emotions at the time, so he looked for the nearest scapegoat - that being Bee. I took inspiration from arguments in real life, where in the heat of the moment things are often said that one doesn't mean, and so applied that here.
Thanks again for sharing your thoughts though. I love reading these kinds of comments!

I still wonder what happen to Optimus and Megatron,it's not like them to vanish out of nowhere like that,something must have gone wrong.
I was wondering the same thing when I first watched this. What if a certain "planet devourer" sent minions to capture Optimus and Megatron, then converted them into new heralds? BTW, this is a cool take on Transformers.

Fantastically done! The stop-motion is great, the voice actors really bring life to the characters, and the writing keeps the viewer fixated. 😎💯 Can't wait to see more!

Wow. This was incredible. Voice acting was powerful, really easy to feel the emotion in the characters’ tones. The battlefield was very beautiful for a stop motion video. Your atmosphere and character dynamics were fantastic. I can’t wait to see what comes from this series!

Damn man, this was great. The voice acting, the story, especially the Stop Motion animation. Love that you guys made a really dark atmosphere with the backgrounds (how did you guys make so many cool sets and backgrounds btw?)

Thanks for the feedback! (Sorry for the late response) As for your question about the set:
For the background I draped a black bed sheet over a piece of foam board. The base/ground was a piece of cardboard which I spray painted gray. I cut out larger set pieces such as buildings and shelter from cardboard and used a knife to make them look battle damaged. Then I just used old pieces of scrap and metal for debris.
However, I am upgrading the set for Extrication part 2! So stay tuned for that.

Excellently done Jox!!! Love seeing Bee be more like a kid who didn’t ask to be dragged into a war because nowadays you just see noble Bumblebee and people don’t usually realize that he’s a kid who’s been surrounded by war all his life. I love the plot even though Jazz’s death made me cry especially when the music turned on. I think my favorite part out of it all is the conversation in the beginning of when Cliff, Cee, and Bee are in Bumblebee’s shelter. Awesome work! Cannot wait to see more

Nice, this provided an underdog's perspective on the war there is a sense of imminent danger that makes the decepticons look and feel menacing.

Gotta say this deserves a lot more attention. I love the set pieces, the characters and the attitudes they had. Only criticism is the decepticon description is kinda black and white. I prefer, I do like how meta it kinda is.

This was amazing. Can’t wait for what happens next. This had great action in the beginning, a good story, it had sad parts in it, everything was smooth and it looked good, and I love how one of my favorite characters cliffjumper, someone who usually always dies is now the commander in hot spots absence and seems to be second in command when he is there as how he’s commanding while he’s captured. Overall I give this a 10/10. You deserve more recognition and you earned a sub! Also I love the custom cyberverse bumblebee (P.s bumblebee is my favorite!). finally, a new stop motion series that is engaging right from the start! this is so cool. small cast and character driven, exactly how a good story should start imo. i cant wait to see where this story goes

Do you know where you got the movement sound effects from when their body moves and turns? Also it's very impressive keep it up.
There’s probably an easier way to go about it then I did, but I just screen recorded clear sounds from other stop motion videos. Crosshairs productions’ movies being the most notable of these.

Hey man amazing work, I was just wondering how did you get all your sound effects from the games? I’ve like recorded the game audio myself and tried to get specific sounds such as the movement sounds but there not at all as clear as the ones you’ve got here. I was just wondering how you got them?
There was a video I found which was basically a Gmod mod which added the sound effects to the game, such as walking and stuff. I’ll see if I can find a link.
