@@nepneppers8122 It's the way he carries himself, the voice, the glasses, his smile as he kills the other players, also that big thing on his arm. That is how good villains should be introduced. Plus villains like Ovan being the kind that have a grand vision or plan to change or recreate the world while being calm collected and enigmatic always seem to have some sort of religious connotation to them. Ovan's theme has that link. It's a hymm or prayer mixed with monastic chants
Not to undermine your experience with jrpgs and/or rpgs in general, but it really wasn't that much of a mystery.

This music, so beautiful, so haunting. Yet it still terrifies me because the Ovan battles were so damn intense and difficult.

The fact that this was Ovan's theme always made me sing the first part as "The bad ass~" instead of "Miyaya~".
