7 HOUR PLANE CRASH ROUTE- Will a trailer get thru?!?

- On this adventure I head out with the Jeep and the Smittybilt Scout offroad trailer on the 7-hour Plane Crash route from Crandon Wisconsin to Copper Harbor Michigan.
The first part of the route is the most exciting as it takes you though some pretty country and two track roads. I did not record the part of the route that goes up the peninsula as it was not exciting. For the majority of that portion, it parallels the highway, so I ended up hopping on the pavement, out of the dust and potholes, to make better time to our destination at High Rock on the UP.
If you're just interested in seeing the dicey part of the trail, things get ugly around minute 8 of my video.
Part 2 is yet to come where we explore the peninsula and witness some amazing scenery and offroad adventure so stay tuned and please subscribe to notifications.
I’m running the route now. So glad Lady Rocklander informed me of the muddy section. It’s an easy bypass by heading up to Mail Route Rd and turning right. Bypasses the mud pit. AWESOME VIDEO !!!
Awesome! Glad you found a bypass, enjoy the rest of your trip!
It looks like you guys gave as good as you got. My brother used to deer hunt up there and said it was always wet during bow season and frozen after thanks giving. Nice work!
I just did this route the other day. Definitely wet, but if you’ve done any “non Midwest” off-roading, it’s very very mild to the point of being boring.
Wow, looks intense, that’s one of those times you wish you were doing the trail with someone else, incase of getting stuck
Great video captures the kind of mental fortitude required too overland and I’ve been there nerves straight shot at the end of the day. Might want to ditch the AT tires and go MT. AT tires are terrible in deep mud which is 90% of thr trails in MI.
Thanks for posting this. Just learned of this trail. Looking forward to running this one.
Great video, Jen! It was also great to finally meet you at last week's Rigs & Coffee! Beautiful rig!!
Thanks so much! Great to meet you as well (finally!) and see that cool rig in person 👍
Your living my dream!
Life is an adventure-get out there when you can!
@@ladyrocklander I chose fishing most often. Camping and driving threw the woods doesn't happen enough
@@D.A.1karp that's awesome tho! Never enough time to play, is there?!
New Sub Here! I saw your handle on the video from #firstpathfrontier Thanks for the video, I need to put the 7 hour plane crash route on my bucket list for sure!
Hey that’s awesome! I’ll give ‘em a like, and thanks so much!!
Do you have more info on where this portion of the trail is (specifically the part around that 7-8 minute mark you mentioned)? Those are more of the trails I'm interested in. Thanks!
Yep around 19 minutes I explain where that was.
You really need to teach your son how to drive the jeep. Your lives may depend on his ability to wheel the jeep for help.. If you don't have one you ABSOLUTELY need a Personal Location Beacon for Emergencies. (PLB) We lived on a farm and I learned to drive a car at 12 years old...so its doable.
I haven't read anything on this route in awhile but it's not suitable for a subi like I read!
Not that section but all other sections you’ll be just fine
