I'd say there's an argument maybe not in volume but he's one of the few people I've found that's able to completely separate personal opinions on the scent profile Vs the quality of the fragrance. Also haven't found anyone who can dissect the structure of fragrances in the same way as there aren't really any other big perfumer reviewers.

My mother LOVES Black Orchid and yet absolutely hates Patchouli. This really is the only Patchouli fragrance that she can wear. It's as you say, exceptionally well blended.

I love Black Orchid. Personally don't believe in perceptions of "ladies" or "gents" scent, just wear whatever I fall in love with, unless it is really really really a feminine soft floral that could only be "felt" as a womanly smell. But interesting to see (for me that is) Aaron liking or complimenting a perfume, LOL! I mean I love his critique of perfumes and his very selective taste, which is one of the things that glue me to his reviews!
I love black orchid, see this as a totally unisex fragrance, anyone could wear it, in my opinion, I have Maremma from TT that gets compared to it, Maremma is extrait though so even longer lasting!
black orchid will always be a feminine scent to me even though it's unisex as it's been a staple in my wifes collection for the last 15 years (the edp) so it's something i could never wear and feel masculine.... plus she would kill me of i did 😂
Look for issey miyak encens. You may have an issue as its been discontinued since 2018. Sweet jammy rose, some smokey dark incense with a ashy leather and haitian vetiver base.
I would like to shear my first"ENCOUNTER"with black orchid from the house of TOM FORD. "WHAT A MASTERPIECE"was the first vocal after first spray. And now it's just a shadow what it's used to be. I lost my faith in CREED AND TOM FORD LONG TIME AGO✌️😏
I was surprised of the EDP HYPE....for me EDT is the best... Found Parfum closer to EDT (which makes EDP as unique among the 3 maybe) But still i like EDT and performance is crazy
Hi Aaron, I really enjoy your style of videos. Could you try Solo Cedro by Loewe? It's my signature scent. Also you should definitely try Franck Olivier's Amber its a cheap fragrance but I would love to hear your opinion on this! :)

Some orchids do have beautiful scents. The ones who do emit fragrance, the fragrance varies from a musky, sweet smell people compare to vanilla, some a citrus raspberry smell and others even smell like rotting flesh lol! I suppose orchid in this context is a fantasy smell, mostly likely based on the sweet and musky profiler, but some do indeed have an intense smell.
I know this is extreme… TRUST ME… but I’m waiting for your comparison video to decide which one to buy. 😅😅 no no.. I should grab a sample of the three first to make a decision I know the rules.. but idc

Never knew that about Orchid not having a scent; and I always did assume it'd be along the lines of a white floral. I've never been a TF fan, but am interested in sniffing this...BUT...have heard the modern versions are not near the original, (?) so I've not been very motivated. Cheers Aaron, hope you're well.

I have a tree near my house that has these beautiful white flowery blooms on it every spring...until you get close enough to it and the intense, "indolic" I suppose, stench hits ya, and you can't get far enough from the tree fast enough. It's the smell of sewage, despite being gorgeous to look at.

The edt nice. The one that opened my nose is actually the og Black Orchid. Unique and just a special place for me at this one.

You must do a review on Mancera Tonka Cola, cherry cola vibe, heavy on patchouli and tonka bean. I think you will love it by your taste.

It's amazing how fragrances can bring back memories. TF Black Orchid to me is just too feminine and highly floral, especially jasmine and patchouli.

Yep it’s called Oud 24 hour. I moved it on. Just a bit too feminine but it smelt amazing for £12.

It smells like something you would wear to a funeral. Tom ford fragrances are super overrated

Oh no, they do smell but they all smell differently. There are many varieties. Some smell sweet and some smell like rotting trash.
