It is Awesome for Infantery Fighting in the city
Looked amazing, but watching those rocket artillery rounds repeatedly clip straight through high rises full of their own infantry all game was pretty immersion breaking. I guess true LoS against the rocket arty rounds would change balance, but given how LoS focused the mechanics of this are for all weapons systems it just looks and feels wrong.
Love the new map, hopefully they'll fix the artillery rockets/rounds flying through the high rises 😅
It's pretty nice, though I think it's a weird design choice not to have both of the urban areas be cap zones. Fighting feels way too oriented around open fields.
I’ve used the little birds to great effect in the city battles. The Gatling guns are quite effective since you can shorten the range with the buildings as cover

Twin cities (and it's overload sibling dark stream!) is a fantastic map. Really dynamic play possible with the cities, you can use them as supporting positions for the objectives they're next to due to the amazing highrise LOS for ATGMs, you can play the brutal fight with flames and arty spam in the city or you can fight a war of movement on the open sections of the map! Probably one of the best Eugene maps I've ever seen.
The first time I played this map, I learned the hard way just how large this map is. I got East German tanks from deployment to a little half way past the map when they started running out of fuel. From there, took waaaaaay to long to get logi and support to the front.
The Russian driver in the captured UAZ was like 👀 with the MP next to him 😂😂😅
This map felt almost made Warno feel like an entire new game... of course it was my first game in a month or so but still. Great addition
With all those high rise residential buildings, the Russian decks arty & air strikes won’t be able to aim at anything else

I am infinitely jealous of your line of sight finding. It's what I'm trying to work on now. Fetting better at reading the environment and how to use it correctly is my biggest challenge.

Heli rushes are very effective against the MANPADS in the city as it is hard to position larger AA systems to help cover them and sustain fire
we need cities in steel division 2 like imagine having the battle of Warsaw that would be super

This game is looking a lot better then when it launched, but still the only problem I really have with it is the UI, especially when compared to the older Wargame games. When’s there is heaps of units in one spot I feel like it’s gets really clustered with all the symbols and everything..
Still looks fun as and I’m sure the longer you play it the more understandable the UI gets!
I don't know if you've already tried, but there are several different settings in the games menu to change the way unit icons are stacked when there are many of them on the screen. Maybe something there might help you to make it more in line with older wargame titles.

I have been using the Centurion AVRE and the American equivalent in city/village battles. The big HE damage is great for destroying building cover and melting tightly packed inf.
That was an excellent game!
Sniper teams should be able to wreak havoc in those cities. Finding gaps where they can fire from range and do their business.
Mirage IV strike "looks awesome", does 2 dmg
All they need to do now is lower helicopter HP so that AA hits actually kill them, since the flares were added to them it is very frustrating, especially when the enemy heli rushes which isn’t a fun or logical strategy long term
Of course look all the video but if you want to know the super leveling from the mighty Mirage is at 12:40

Hey Vulcan, do you think things feel semi back to normal after the hotfix? Or are some things still busted? (etc. arty, bombers, etc)?
You know, I think my only complaint about the city blocks is that it feels out of place in a European setting for the most part, though I get that East Europe is probably filled with it. But I feel that Europe isn't really known for skyscrapers. At the same time, there is a lack of medium-height buildings in the game and I guess I was looking for a bit more of that. Wall to Wall, rowhouses, stuff like that. There was this map in Steel Division Normandy where this map had a decent mid-sized city, but it was all the way behind the front line so it was essentially out-of-sight and you wouldn't have battles in it.
I think I’m going to have to bite the bullet and finally buy this 🤔

hello i have a question for you, what is the usage percentage of gpu while in game? Is it always 100% ?
Man, is there any reasons they keep the MLRS rate of fire so low? They definitely won't become OP nukers that can blast an entire area anyway with that pathetic damage. Seeing BM-21 fire so slowly like that kinda hurt my eyes.
Good video, but I don't like artillery going threw the tall buildings without collition. Hope they fix that
How good is the AI in WARNO? Hopefully it will be a marked improvement on War Game: Red Dragon where the AI would just constantly spam units down a single road.

What do you think about the Hotfix? They kinda borked the Anti Air Fighters still not firing they ARAAMS Arty damage is fine ish in my opinion anyways, nice match!
Pretty sure they fixed long range air missiles? I think the hotfix generally speaking was just as fast as they could and they know there are still things to fix.
@@VulcanHDGaming When i tested the game with a friend the Anti Air Fighters would still not fire theyr ARAAMS wich was wierd.

Sadly the Mirage is ending its service in the French army, all wil be replaced by Rafales in the 5 years to come.
We'll find them in other armies in the world then.
I've been pretty disappointed by this patch, I think the balance is worse and less enjoyable than Oudinot. An example is those Mirages, 320 points each with an 8 minute reload and despite perfectly lined up bombing runs on light transports and soldiers you got a grand total of 2 kills, and 1 of them was a half health Konkur squad lmao. Ironically due to the absolute nerf hammer handed to aircraft, the best aircraft are those cheap spammable units like the Harrier and MiG-21, and rocket aircraft in general like you said are so powerful as they weren't changed. I think people before had issue with suicide bombers and those cheap expendable planes are now the only real use of air power beyond the A-10/Su-25.
22:35 is such a perfect example, 32 x 400kg bombs didn't do *any* damage to a 2 HP Metis squad. What a shame, that Mirage was my favourite unit because of those cool bombing runs!
I totally agree! I think Eugen ended up listening to the annoying whiners on discord who've never heard of a proper anti air net and just want everything that counters their playstyle to be nerfed. Suicide planes were a pain, but there have to be better solutions than just making planes useless
@@DeitritusFillamore It's crazy isn't it? I feel like people do what I did as a kid playing Wargame and just move their most expensive tank up by itself and then bitch when something kills it. Suicide planes could be countered with longer range radar AA, and it would also make SEAD more of a valuable item.
I never found expensive suicide planes to be an issue (e.g. Mirages). They just didn't do their value enough. Now it's cheap spam planes only, which is worse.
Defence is too strong atm, with the main weapons for cracking it (arty and air) both sucking. There is really no way to take out a group of dug in atgm teams with a couple of support weapons.
@@notbotheredable I had a recent match where I slammed a patch of forest with 4 pieces of heavy arty multiple times throughout the match. On checking the replay, I realized that I never got a single unit. I go them to low health, but apparently couldn’t seal the deal

IRL, a couple of decent sized bombs at the base of these buildings would completely level them.
