  • This concluding chapter is the sum and substance of the earlier chapters of the sacred Bhagavadgītā. In this chapter, Lord Krishna explains that, giving up actions motivated by desire is sannyāsa, whereas giving up the fruits of actions is called tyāga; both lead the seeker to liberation. While some wise men take the path of sannyasa - giving up all action, some take the path of selfless acts of charity, sacrifice and austerity. Lord declares that the highest path of spirituality is pure, unconditional love and service unto the Supreme Divine Personality. If we always remember Him, keep chanting His name and dedicate all our actions unto Him, take refuge in Him and make Him our Supreme goal, then by His grace, we will surely overcome all obstacles and difficulties and be freed from this cycle of birth and death.
