i do like the fact how she didnt blow his life up back then by telling everyone that he sa'd her. he kept his job and all his friends (except her ofc) so compared to other blamed for sa stories, this ended on an overall good note
OP was not the person who was supposed to be blamed, she was SA’d on her birthday by her boyfriend. Then that same person gaslighted her to think he saved her, and the person who SA’d her was her friend. So who in their right mind other than someone one Reddit would blame the op for this situation.
I don't think op deserves that much hate, she was lied to and manipulated, yes she should have listened to mark's side of the story and she should be held accountable for that but i can understand why she believed paul because she was in shock of the entire situation and had no real reason to not believe him at that time, also i feel like when SOME people are told something then told a completely different story they automatically have bias for the first thing they're told, now if marks life was destroyed then i get it if you hate her but he was fine (aside from the beating paul gave him) and had a very happy life. does that excuse her not hearing mark out, no but im still empathetic towards her and cut her a idy little bit of slack because the entire situation was of owens doing and he is the true villain here, Im glad mark is happy and they reconciled.

She had no way of knowing, given the way she described how blurry everything was. All she did wrong was not catch a couple of red flags from her boyfriend, but considering it was him that came back to untie her, it made perfect sense to her and it would've made sense to you in this situation too.

After I got a partner, then all my friends stayed as friends and that's just it.
