- VFL Audio is back with another Monoblock amplifier, and this one if from their new Stealth Series amp line from... China. This one is rated at 1800... or 2200W Rms depending on which site you look at @ 1ohm, however the specs only talk about 4500W MAX Power. So what does it really do? In this video we will Unbox and Amp Dyno this product to see exactly how it performs.

The beautiful thing about the age we live in today is we can just punch the amp we're interested in on RUclips and see guys like you put it on the dyno and tell us what's up.
The sad thing about the age we live in is most people will end up watching distorted cell phone videos of the amp in someone's car and call that science lol
Thanks for all ur hafd work and effort man. I appreciate all u do to bring us all these great videos.
Hey man awesome review. I definitely think you judged it correctly and that’s why I’ll only rely on you dyno’s. Thanks a lot dude.
Great video! Thanks for all the hard work you put into making these videos.
Love these videos. Really wish we could get accurate ratings on the box.
Most awesome video as always brother keep them coming 👍👍
Thanks for another great video. You provide information in addition to the dyno that is very useful. I now shop manufacturer rather than brand thanks to you. I chose a Skar skv2 100.4ab over its Sundown board mate because its basically half the price for the same amp. Its funny to see Sundown claim to design a board that’s nearly identical to one sold by others.
Excellent video. Keep up the good work brother.
Over 1800 watts on music at 1 ohm for 180 bucks, there's worse deals out there.
Thanks Mr. Blank😁
This video made my day.
They always do though.
As always great video 👍 keep on keeping on brother 👊
I got this amp on 2 1000rms rockvilles and ported box
Sounds clean , pushes them hard
Best reviews on the net.Keep it up..
nice amp dyno keep up the good work
I have the 1st model of this amp, the 4480.1
Had it for years . Was running four american bass xd 10s on it at one time. Slammed hard. Im still running this same amp years later on two XR 12s....still slamming😊😊
I'm so glad I watched this before Amazon charged my card. I ordered the 3k VFL before really looking at it. My "8k" audiopipe probably has the same output as the 3k VFL for $124 rather than $167.
You called it! Somewhere around 1500. Nice job!
Another great video!
I just bought a eclipse 4 channel off a guy on Facebook for $30. It sounds AWESOME! Just wanted to share that with my other amp peeps.
I had 2 10 inch eclipse aluminum 10's and an 18 inch eclipse titanium back in 2002. Oh how I miss those subs. Eclipse was, is, and always will be a respectable brand in my book.
Thanks for the test Ryan. Wasn't expecting too much from this one. Off topic a little bit but I was wondering if you knew what the minimum required pulse duration in order to trigger the amp dyno's measurement for the dynamic test? I have a hunch that a lot of unregulated power supplies can pump out almost 2-3x times their true RMS ratings over 0.25s or 0.5s impulses rather than for instance a pulse of a 1-2s duration. I should add, that a 0.25s dynamic impulse is still quite practical has you hear this quite readily on real music when it comes to snare drums and such.
Love channel+content brother!
Really like the new display on output
Hey man great videos. I was curious if you could do a dyno run test on a Soundstream Ar1.4500d? I bought one to run my 2 12" dvc 4 ohm Sundown e3s and just curious of if I'm way under power at 4 ohms or if it would be better to use at 2 ohm. I'd appreciate it man.
Vfl was hot brand 4 or 5 yrs ago. Now they're almost mia. Except when i see you
do an amp dyno Ryan lol🤓
The old dual 8001d put up about the same power actually. I'm still impressed with the amp I got from u for the money.
Those dual amps aren't bad I replaced a 500 watt mono block with a four channel of a much better brand and I cannot really tell a large difference in 85% of music the four channel was four times the price
Can you test it at .35 ohms I was running my dc audio xl 15 0.7 dvc in parallel for over a year and just curious what the amp output was
Miss your reviews, Ryan. Hopefully you can come back soon. Sundown has some SAE V3 amps that are ridiculously inexpensive and powerful that I'd love to see a review on.
Just got my vfl 4500.1 going to try it on an American bass xr 15 d2 wired to 1 ohm
Great review. They got class a/b the stealth 500.4, does it really put 250x4 rms at 4 ohms? Does any one know or have experience with it
Whats yalls opinion on older pyle amps? I know they are not name brand but how good were these amps? Could u do a dyno on a pyle pla 4380? Probly cant even find those no more lol
I have one pushing three 12s out the box ..slamming!
Click the ebay listing for it at $175, Amazon is near $260... And this is not worth $260
Wat do u think about American bass 12 subs
@@eliasibguzman5987 I have an XFL 12 and I think it's a great sub. Again I dont think the amps are BAD, I just think they are rated like crap.
Yea me too I currently using 2 GB drive a7m 2000.1 with 2 p3s sounds really good have u tested db drive maps
Db drive
@@bigblank69 why do people hate on Jensen subs are they ok for everyday driven vehicles or should I just stay away from them. I can get a pair of xs new for $120.
Hey I have 2 Brutus 3,000 amps and looking to upgrade to better amplifiers can u help me? What amp can I get that will out perform the Brutus but doesn’t cost more??
Not too sure about their amps, but I love my American Bass subs.. American Bass has been in the game since the early 90's...
I don't know how I missed your last four videos.
😫😫😫
@@bigblank69 somehow I unsubscribed. I fixed that
American Bass has went backwards in amps.😔
Hey atleast they still have quality reasonably priced subwoofers... 🤷🏾♂️ I love AB subs
@@tyler238 Agreed! 💯%
Hey wats up I was wondering if u could recommend me an amp I currently have a precision power 1600.4 on 4 10' ds18 mid range loud speakers and 4 ds18 1'horn drivers I'm looking for a bigger better 4 channle less than $200 any help would be helpfull lol
Thinking about trying this amp on 1 skar ddx 15 D2 wired to 1 ohm
Hey I have a dragon sound 1500.2 I am wondering if anyone has heard of them I can't find nothing about the amp
Thx bro!!!!
Thank you
Amazon has it listed for $175 now. Dollar per watt it's pretty respectable.....although I cant stand the bs ratings either
Nice wattage for the price, but I'm not gonna buy unrated or false power rating amps.
Nice video as always
So what’s the efficacy????
Can someone tell me what my vfl 2800.1 does in real rms?
Video starts 14:33
😂
Hey buddy, I have a request. I have a Soundstream Rubicon Nano RN1.5000D in my Civic pushing two Sundown Audio SA-12D2s and I have always wondered what it really pushes. I know that you've done a review on the smaller Nano, but it wasn't the Rubicon. Any chance you could slide that into the schedule sometime? I would appreciate it.
Edit: I think that I paid around $250 for it on eBay. I have owned quite a few soundstream amps in my day. The best one that I owned was a Reference 1000 x 4 and I used it to push 4 Orion Cobalt 10s in my 92 Integra. It actually pounded fairly hard for a 4 channel amp.
If your still wondering it does 2592W at 14.4v
Good vid. Can you dyno a Blaupunkt amp ?
Good shit
At the beginning of this video what is that song?
Just curious by the way you make awesome videos.
Nice job brother!! Quick question... how would we order through "SNI"? You made a really good point but I can't seem to find them anywhere. Thanks!
You cant... they make amps for brands in bulk.... you can order if you want to buy 300... but not 1 or 2
Oh ok, Thanks!
By chance have u done a dyno on either the JBL club A 1000.1 or the diamond audio DES1000.1 i have been trying hard to find a dyno on both and no luck...I own both
That specific amp, no. I tested the Infinity Kappa 1000.1, which was also the same amp as the the JBL GTO1000.1, which became the JBL Stadium 1000.1 which has become... the JBL Club A 1000.1. Great amps, I think I got well over 1k and great efficiency out of it.
@@bigblank69 awesome!! Thank u I will look for that Dyno video of the infinity!!! Yeah there supposed to be super efficient able to do 1000 watts with only 60 amps of current draw... Should be around 100 for 1000 watts....The diamond audio DES1000.1 looks just like the same design as the JBL and there's another one a cerwin vega that also looks just like these as well
What is the difference between Uncertified, Certified & Dynamic RMS burst? :)
Reaper certified to 1% total harmonic distortion, uncertified is to clipping ( sine wave turns into square wave ), dynamic is a 40 Hz tone that bursts on and off for 20 seconds representing a bass kick drum.
Sweet timing to see this. Another RUclipsr just abused a JL Audio 12" to replace it with an American Bass dual coil.12". I'm curious how American Bass rates their equipment.
Had to rewatch after your comments on Facebook . I think by it was today or yesterday 😭🤣
I didnt comment on the ST4500.1d yesterday...
@@bigblank69 my fault it was 4k amp☹️
Great video as always Ryan. This amp isn't too bad, but they should had just called it 1500.1 and included the ratings in the manual. Kinda shady to have no ratings at all.
That's like 90% of the market right now. 9000 dif rebranded amps with dif names on the front claiming 9000 dif ratings. THATS why i only look for CEA certified rated amps.
@@4gbmeans4gb61 exactly everybody thinks they're going to get a Brazilian Watts when in fact real wattage is the only thing that plays out they're taking advantage of young kids and I think that is a bait and switch marketing China should be punished for such things and I say China loosely cuz I don't have time to go through the slave factories making so-called quality products that barely live up to any kind of warranty I grew up in a time when I watched car audio go from humble beginnings to Factory mass produced garbage
Hey There Brother What Amp Would You Recommend I Have 2- 12Inch Triton 2500 Watt Max Subwoofers?
I Bought This Amp Cause I Believed This Distributor Here That It Would Be Enough Power But It Doesn't Feel Like It's Enough I Had 3 Solo Baric 10s In A Jeep I Used To Have And My Wattage Was Over 3,000 Watts With A Big Kicker Amp And My Solos Hit Harder Than My Now 2 Triton 12inch Subs I Need True Power For These Subs They Should Be Hitting Harder Than They Are Now
I'm looking at it online and its saying its rated @ 1800w@1ohm. If it was originally rated that way they are dead on the money
Can't believe in this day companies still branding with this imaginary power numbers..call it a 1500 rms amp ...sold! No bs!.. great detective work btw😎
I guesstimate that the 2200 rms rating that some sites refer is probably the half ohm rating, which translates to an estimated peak wattage of 4500. Some companies label their amps according to peak wattage while others label according to rms rating. If they rebadge this amp as the ST1600.1, they'd sell a lot more of them
Do u happen to know where twisted sounds where build i came across a good deal on a ts 1.8k . If i send u it will u please test it thanks, really like ur videos
I am not sure where they r built but they r all good quality
Twisted Sounds is built by Zenon in Korea
So you think the skar 2500 would be the better value?
No, a taramps md1800.1 or hd3k will be a better value.
Test out the apdli 2000 1d Audiopipe
Can you try the st5500.1? Its almost double the size and ive heard they got such backlash from this one that they tried a bit harder. I run one and on debating on strapping a other for my 1 solo X 18 then eventually 2 more to power my second one or just going a different way
says 1800 watts RMS @ 1 ohm on ebay :)
Will it work good with one american bass xfl 10 inch woofer 1500 watts rms 1ohm
Should work just fine
I've had mine hooked up to two American Bass XFL 12s for over a year
a VFL amp thats not dog shit and overpriced. Seems like the company is heading in a better direction.
American Bass/VFL now has this amplifier rated at 1800RMSx1@1ohm
Average retail is about $200
I bought one back in August for $150. I already had one that I've been running for a year and a half with no problems
@@78758nate would you recommend this amp to power an 12 American Bass XR at 2ohms?
I honestly thought the vfl series would do better. The xfl is a great sub and one i recommend a lot. After seeing this test im glad i wasnt recommening their amps. I just cant if i dont know how much its putting out or the ruff amount its putting out, with this kind of preformance theve put them self with the likes of hifonics and worse.
American Bass, there's a name I haven't heard in years...
Come across to that boss 3700 amp 5 channel
Wait, are you telling me S&I has a buildhouse in china now? S&I branded boards could actually be from China not Korea?
S&I and Zenon both have buildhouses in China in addition to Korea
I really appreciate you and your soap box.Lol.I don’t care for the board.I just don’t think that amp will last long under hard use.I could be wrong but it just doesn’t look like it has enough caps compared to other amps in its class.
Number of caps actually means nothing.
Why not test more amps 1/2 ohm or 3/4 ohm?
Because they can fry at that load... and since I fund this channel myself, I need to be able to sell these amps post testing.
If they'd just call it a $200, true 1500.1 watt amp nobody would be able to bitch about inflating the numbers by 300%.
That's Soundstream #s and max ratings...4500w !!?!???!?
We need more video please
I have the st5500.1d can u do a dyno on that one
Johnny Soundz what subs do you have it pushing
Had it on 4 12s American bass xfl, 2 15s 2 10s all American bass subs
Johnny Soundz how did it sound, any issues? Overheating, protect mode, etc?
Pretty good no over heating issues ever
Johnny Soundz cool. I plan on getting one to push my single XFL 15 dual 4. In a 3.5 cube tuned to around 35. I need an amp that can at 2 ohms all day.
Says 2200 watts rms at 1 ohm on amazon for 175 bucks not bad.
I'd still go with the skar rp 2000
Do the Synergy audio efa 2k
Definetly think those efa 2ks put wolframs c2400 to shame
🎶🎵throw it in tha gaaaarbaggeee🎵🎶 it should be named ROFL 😏
Sad but for the price it’s good!!
after my experience with pro audio amps i no longer trust clip indicators on amps. oscop or gtfo imo. i bought an amp that claimed a ridiculous number, but it was cheap enough and came out just fine for my needs. the amp was rated at 1400 x 2, my oscope showed distortion at just over 1k both channels loaded, but the clipping indicator didn't light up until i was seeing some really hard clipping on the oscope, somewhere around what would have been 1600 - 1700. glad i bought that damn oscope and i'm glad i'm anal enough to scope my shit after i dial it in with the dmm. i'm happy with the amp, 2k for 170 i'm not bitching, but lying about your numbers kills me. a lot of the amps you see this on are ok value for the money with the real world figures, just cheaply produced so why lie about your numbers??? i just don't get it.
Hey I know Bob from American bass I'm from Cleveland and work at road quake Bob himself won't even tell u his ratings. But I had the st 3000 and had them on 2 xo 10s and that shit hit 142.3 yes in a trunk of my 97 olds 88 ran it 4 a year no problem, but I did have a slight one when I hooked it up 2 3 15s XFLs and hit 145.1 db yes it went into protect but after an hour of playing, but I know my amps and u can't push it under 1ohm under that it will play but likely go into protect. So any questions about American bass or vfl I'm ur source cuz I put that shit in cars everyday.oh I got the hcca 5000 dv2 on the 15s I'm going to make a video soon
Im gonna call this a 800 watt rms amp@1ohm Therefore it clearly exceeded my ratings.
😂😂😋
It fooled me. I was thinking 1200
I have the 3000 an it's rated at 1500 rms so if it's 4500 it's half of that.i have the book on it that came with mine.so be said its a good number.
Put the VE Audio amps on the dynooo plzz
Hmmm maybe I should
@@bigblank69 thanks alot sir keepm coming 🍻
It’s rated 1800 rms at 1 ohm
i didnt believe for a second it would hit 4500 but i was looking at this on amazon and it said about 1200w at 2 ohm which is what i need so for the price i think im gunna go for it plus the clipping detector is a nice feature. i'd like to know for sure that i am getting the biggest bang for my buck but since i dnt wnt to blow money on a dd1 i just play it safe and keep my gain at half. also i am currently using a rockville db15 so that is another reason to keep gain low. still though pulled 900w ish from the battery so not too bad but the sub can handle 1kw rms so thats the goal.
Did you ever end up getting it and if you did how did you like it ?
First impression... no 4500 watts.
I think it gem for the budget price, I would not buy it for my self unless it was a last resort
American Bass I thought was a pretty decent brand, subs are good but man the amps have really diminished the brand.
Wow! So VFL basically lies about what the specs were on this amplifier and still ends up becoming a budget gem? I just don't get it.
I set a criteria a long time ago of 13.6 cents per watt uncertified would be the benchmark for a budget gem, if it failed to reach its rated rms power. This is no different with what I did with the Orion CB4500.1d
Because regardless of what its rated at when you measure out the amount of actual power you get from the amp and compare it with other brands out there with the same wattage you come to find that the price per watt is reasonable.
@@bigblank69 Re-test that amp at 16 volt. RMS will be around 2200 wrms. Guaranteed
@@theresistance2641 Guaranteed? Funny... it protects at 16.1v.... so it does 0 watts on a 16v system
@@bigblank69 Then this series is not made like the 100.1 - 1,000.1 AB VFLs that I competed with
Next gem! Pyramid pb3818 claiming a whopping 5000 watts!
Yeah right!😂😂😂
I have 2 American Bass XR15 subs and I love them but what irritated me about American Bass is how slack they are with details, I've yet to find the small parameters anywhere, there site give the bare minimum just the basics. That's kinda bullshit. So I'm guessing there amps are the same. Why would a company that makes decent amps and awesome subs be like that. Prob the best for info are savard on there subs (no amps yet to my knowledge) they give you about every spec you would ever need and then some. If you buy there subs they give you free box designs and the best customer service in the industry. I looked at AN subs but was not impressed with the price compared to there deceptive vauge power ratings. I went Audiopipe APCLE 1800 and I amp impressed. The APME 2k had waaay to many over heating issues in the reviews and APCLE had great reviews and damn near as powerful as the 2k plus seems like better built model.
You need to test the $55 blaupunkt 4 channel amp.
Variable F#$king LETDOWN
So Volts Flow level-ish
Over the top ratings like these is what gives some of the audio companies a bad reputation. 🤷🏻♂️
Cheap and linkable.
Sad Day!!
