On SBI card you missed that the net interest margin have fallen mainly due to the higher cost of credit and thats the reason being attributed to its fall despite the topline and bottom line growth. Having said that today's fall looks like an operator game and the stock price could catch up soon !
On research part, I was checking OPM for Jk Paper and other paper stocks which is bit higher than SBI Cards OPM

I just want to mention that Nikkei has not given any return for last 30 years. Infact since 1991 till date returns were negative. If not that long but can such situation arise for 5-10 years due to geopolitical situation ?
Nikkei is an index from Japan and the Japanese economic situation cannot be compared with the Indian economic situation. Inflation in Japan is close to Nil and return from Nikkei reflects the same.
You would have heard the common saying that if you keep your money in a bank in Japan then you lose money instead of gaining since interest rates are negative.
Also, the overall japanese index didn’t rise but some individual stocks did. More reason to study and analyse individual companies.

You need to compare apple to apple, Nifty50 ETF v/s Nifty50 Index fund(mutual) !!
Exactly compare Nifty Midcap Index vs Quant/PGIM/Kotak Midcap?
Don't invest in Midcap to save ER...
They take it for higher return and Don't invest in Index too other than Largecap fund...
