What's creepy is that, at 9:52, as Emily is telling Arthur that "If you're not careful, you will join them", Percy's bunker is peeking out to the left of Emily, and that Percy also shunted James' first train, which took place too far away to be natural.
There's so many little peeks and glimpses, i'd really like to see someone do an analysis video of this series and see how many they can spot. Daylight is great at hiding things, especially in fog/dark.
To be fair his concern of them crashing was a real threat if they crashed they'd likely be screwed. But at the same time you cant slow down when you have a demon engine chasing after you
Well, Arthur was a new engine, and likely the driver was new as well. He wouldn't know about the events going on around the island. Likely, he heard stories but didn't care to explore into them.
I feel like Proteus is either something akin to the "soul" of Sodor itself or perhaps the first engine to die on the island way back and thus a guarding spirit. It's fascinating to see the interactions with Lady over the series, he seems to hold an almost authority like power that she has to obey when he uses it. Favorite character by far.
Who knows what powers Proteus has, but from what we saw here Lady was preparing a silent attack on Arthur inside magic railroad (forest) but this time Proteus had blocked her way so she backed down. It seems there are multiple entrances on the magic railroad: 1. is trough Henry's forest where it leads to an old shed where Gordon and Oliver disappeared 2. is on the Peel Godred branch where Percy was captured by the Lady 3. is where Thomas had bumped his truck into the buffers after James had a accident with a leaky Oil tanker 4. is where Proteus stopped Lady. Another place which can also have magic buffers is the old mine on Thomas's branch line.
@croatiarailways The forest lines could be her "Little Grotto" from the TATMR movie, and it almost feels like Lady could use any buffers once she leaves the forest and is free roaming the island. But yes, does look like a silent attack was about to happen and Proteus stopped her, probably why she needed her puppets near the end.
little theory: those "silent trucks/ season 1 trucks" are actually people turned into trucks by lady (just like fred) and are also her henchmen like all the engines shes captured.
Fred was the thug in the FFarquhar siren He uh, got turned into a truck. Personally I believe some of the less than reliable trucks were thugs like Fred before lady turned him into a glorified cart. In a way, I would also resent the fact someone turned me into a cart carrying coal and boxes all day, must be the reason why they enjoy tormenting the engines.
So that’s why Warship looked sympathetic to Douglas! He was a part of the task force sent to investigate the “SCP” line. Also noticed some cheeky references to TATMR :)
Just watched this today, the moment Arthur tells James that people still care about him and his Friends even though they’re gone was absolutely emotional and sweet, it impacted especially hard considering it’s in such a dark twisted place in time. Also, That runaway sequence was absolutely top notch, and now I’m probably going to be rewatching it over a thousand times lol
Bloody hell, Daylight, that was great! The scene in the forest felt so claustrophobic and confusing, you've got a real nack for building up tension. Can't wait for the next one, keep up the fantastic work!
Well, that was an incredible episode for certain. The inclusion of the music from 'Runaway Train' was a nice touch. The scene where Proteus sends one of the siren-controlled engines away was very interesting, he seems to be the only engine that can fend off Lady and her forces by himself, indicating he is a powerful spiritual being. This makes me wonder, is Proteus God himself? At the end of the episode, the referend states that "he's still watching over us", hinting that there is a higher power watching over Sodor and its inhabitants. It makes me think that Proteus is the physical incarnation of God, and he is doing all he can to prevent Lady from continuing her reign of terror across the island of Sodor. Although it doesn't seem he can always save the day, as we don't see Emily help Arthur pull the special train, so she has likely been 'taken' as well. From what she said when she told the story to Arthur, about the engines not being truly dead, makes me believe that Lady has their souls trapped somehow, and if she is defeated, the souls of the engines will be released and all the missing engines will return, alive. Hopefully Proteus, Warship and all the other military forces and active parties involved in fighting Lady can continue to save the day in the future. Can't wait for the next one.
I always love the theories people post. You are on the right track (not a pun) but I will say that proteus is not god himself or an incarnation. More of his backstory will come at a later date. Thanks for the comment!
@@daylight39 Your welcome. This series of yours is fantastic! Seeing the events unfold in each story is so enthralling, as I never know what to expect next. It's really fun to theorize how things in the stories occur and what is possibly going to happen in the future. Really looking forward to seeing how this series continues down the line (a pun).
I've been following this story ever since it began back in 2022. I've had, and still do, have my fair share of nit-picks. But they don't go further than just that. This one has to be my favourite yet! I've always been a fan of the story told, but I feel like this episode has been the one to completely surpass the previous ones. The chase scene between James, Arthur and the husks was genuinely one that made me nervous, for a moment I thought James would be gone for good! Glad to see an episode where NOBODY gets killed (apart from James' crew and train). Hope to see more like it in the future!
absolutely stellar work as always. seems lady tried to break her own rules just to get to james and for the first time, she FAILED. had me on the edge of my seat.
Sodor Horror Thriller done right once again. Each outing into this series gives a bit more of the lore. Can't wait to see what you have in store for us all!
That chase scene was epic! Dude I wanna see more of this, the engines narrowly escaping! Finally having something new! Someone didn’t die! I could also see some Easter eggs in the background
The version of Henry’s theme in the scene where James gets life brought back to him by Arthur was phenomenal absolutely amazing aswell as this whole story you’ve crated with engines disappearing and becoming something abnormal and the whole mystery behind it it’s all brilliant one of the best fan stories I’ve even seen, miles better than all of the sodor fallout stories and adaptations from it you’ve actually created a complex story what I’m invested in
Words can not even begin to describe how glad I am that James is okay, I thought for sure he'd kick the bucket, but I'm worried Lady and her minions will try to get him again, and what if they succeeded the next time. Still though, he's fine and that's all that matters. Also, really great what you did with Arthur in this, I always wondered what a story between him and James would be like. Very well done, looking forward to more like this in the future.
Man during that chase scene i can't help but feel sorry for James as that was likely a very traumatic site Seeing the "corpses" (i guess) of his friends chasing him and Arthur down must have been quite the scary site Especially since he had to see all of the engines chasing him and Arthur down
A LOT to unpack this episode. Might make a video on it. But as usual, here are some things you could've missed: 0:16 Woodham brothers. Mr. Percival is in Barry Island 0:58 Police engine pulling a passenger train??? XD 2:00 The best Thomas character 2:55 Edward is thankfully still alive 3:55 Must be taking place during "Special Funnel" 4:30 The Siren woman 6:18 Oliver in the back 7:55 Lady 8:08 Lady 9:15 Duck behind breakvan 9:53 Percy next to Emily 11:07 Henry in blue (first RWS book) and James has no number 12:11 Diesel 10 13:16 Something in the far right shed? 15:05 Oliver shunted James' train 16:26 Siren lady 17:00 The truck that was behind James no longer has a face 17:23 Magic Buffers sound and Fred Pelhay? 22:15 Oliver in the shed 24:48 Proteus to the far right 25:07 Lady in the far left 26:37 Donald's husk? 26:43 Oliver in the background? 29:01 "Jailbreak" from the movie "Runaway Train" made in 1985 (Great movie) 30:00 Levitating Breakman XD 31:23 I guess George never got "rolling" again 33:44 The thing following Arthur in the far right 45:31 Apparently these "ghosts" can hit each other? 45:53 Gordon's remains 45:59 The Standing Stones 46:09 Magic buffers 46:32 Belle is with the MOD? 47:10 Donald doesn't have this tender so apparently these "ghosts" don't need fuel to run 48:53 Apparently this station is Barrow, Barrow-in-Furness, AND Vicarstown Edit: 22:30 Donald behind James. Idk how BoCo or the signalman didn't see him
I could be wrong, but perhaps the engine at 6:18 is Duck rather than Oliver? Oliver has a smaller dome while Duck's is a bit larger and the one seen in the backgroud looks a bit too large to be Oliver's, not to mention is looks a bit too low to be Oliver too since his boiler and side tanks sit higher too.
Phew 😮💨 what a relief James & Arthur r safe thank you 🙏 Warship (Diesel 10) save our engines from becoming another victim, & boi this episode gave me a huge jump scare I mean Percy Duck Oliver Donald & even Gordon’s dead body surprised me out of nowhere. It’s like ur in Hell itself however just because James is safe doesn’t mean we should let our guards down who knows what Lady has next for us.
17:21 Nice little Magic Railroad touch with Thomas collecting coal trucks and one goes through the buffers and no one but Belle seems to notice, or at least Belle can see that something is off and not the truck disappearing right then and there.
Honestly Arthur, as an LMS 2MT, is gonna be my favorite by far, he’s literally the first engine to escape being chased by lady and the husks. The even more impressive fact is that he quite literally carried James too, so Arthur is just an absolute unit.
Been loving this series! It's amazing to see how the quality is improving and the story is escalating. Loved that this one had some build up in the beginning and some very good action in the later half or third. Getting to see a more aggressive version of the taken characters as well as more involvement from Proteus being protective is great! Also loved all the hidden details scattered through out and the atmosphere. Can't wait to see how this continues and keep up the good work! Wanted to also note that when Arthur and James were running away, the scrapped body of Gordon was there as well as the standing stones, which they said they had removed (if I remember correctly), so it's interesting how the things that are "missing" are in the forest as well now.
Dang this episode is really intense. The introduction and backstory to Arthur is very different and interesting. Also interesting to see what James is going through since the disappearance of several engines. Looks like Proteus is trying to do what he can to stop this universe's version of Lady. Speaking of Lady, it's really horrifying to see her use the souls of the engines she has taken. Hope they'll be free from here control. This is a great episode to your little series. Nice to see you've been improving. Keep up the great work and take care.
'God Bless Ye Merry, Gentlemen' is a *perfect* choice for this. The montage is very well executed, I think the scenes with Warship in the forest gave me goosebumps the first time I watched it.
That chase scene was 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻 *chef's kiss.* I thought for sure Arthur was going to round a corner and James was just not gonna be attached anymore. Had me nervous the whole time!
I think what makes this series really good is the ambiguity of everything. A lot of the little details are left up to our imaginations to fill in the blanks. I think a good example of the are the designs of all the captured engines. Yes on the surface we all know they are the same models, but with that brief glimpse of Gordon in 411 we can imagine most of the engines have followed suit. They have no pupils or irises just empty white voids, but we're never shown this because we rarely get to see their faces. and the concept of the engines looking like Machines when their faces are facing away comes into effect too. We know something is wrong and they are not the same as before. Not showing their faces makes them feel so in human and non living any more. I think the only critique of this series i can give is that the voice acting is really not my cup of tea. It's not the same person doing all the voices i son't vibe with. it's more so the quality is just really off. it's like everyone is whispering and i constantly have to turn my volume up. only to be startled by normal sound effect played at a higher volume because of the frequent volume changes. Never the less, I've tuned into this series since the first instalment, and can't wait to see more.
You know, Oliver had pupils in The Missing 411. (In his Scrap look.) Another thing about that, when Oliver was pulling Toad, (In Smudger and the Magic Mirror) he wasn't scared of him. So Oliver must have pupils.
@@Rainbow2997 Oliver almost seems to have more, agency? I'm not sure if that is the right word, but of the missing engines he seems to have a special status. He has the most evidence supporting having pupils remain. Also, notice how his is the only missing engine poster consistent through the episodes. This has to be telling us that there is more to Oliver than all the other engines.
Dang, James and Arthur escaped by the skin of they're teeth. Also this is one of the ways you do a scary story. No blood, no filith, no unnecessary shock value ( using certain topics just for shock value like unnecessary violence twords animals or children), just scary and suspenseful stuff. Heck not even a jumpscare. This is pretty good.
I feel like Daylight has just got a map called 'The Forest' for these recent episodes. Every time I saw the 'DECIEVED' and 'The Green Lady' I kept saying Oh God, or Oh no every time.
I'm so glad James is alive because in all the other episodes all my favorite engines vanish : Gordon,Oliver,Toby,Percy,Duck and Donald and James, Douglas,Henry,Edward and Thomas are my last favorite ones left but I am glad you made it Arthur has a major role in this episode. 10/10.
Well I’m glad to see that James is still alive and safe and sound, but I just hope that something magical will bring things back to normal on Sodor again, we can’t have missing engines and mishaps going on forever
I wonder how the people on sodor will react to engines like gordon and oliver and other missing engines coming back after like a decade and how will mr percival explain it to them
Ok, this by far is one of my favorite TTTE series of all time. The climax was great, music was pretty good in my opinion, and small details of the husks of the engines are amazing easter eggs. The only thing I would recommend to improve on is the voice acting, since it’s kinda quiet for me, but that’s it. Also theory for next video: The next video in this series will be about Henry since we haven’t seen or heard about him much in the series, possibly him getting killed by Lady and the husks or him escaping but finding more truth about what happened to the other engines. Also, we have no idea what happened to Donald, Duck, or Percy, since Duck and Percy crashed and Donald got stopped by Warship. So does that mean that all 3 of them are truly dead now, or are they all still alive? Is Toby and Gordon still just husks now, or are they also part of the minion army? If all of that is true, is Oliver and Toad the last 2 minions of Lady? Are they all truly ghosts/husks now? Can they possibly be revived? Will we actually get to properly see the engines’ faces? Will we ever know what was the process of the engines getting turn into ghosts? What is Lady’s goals in the series? What do her and Proteus have against each other? What will Proteus do in the plot? I really need to know these answers, and I do can’t wait for the next episode! Also, at 17:22, you can hear the magic railroad sound when Thomas is bumping 5 trucks together. Next moment, he has 4. I assume that the truck that was pushed into the buffers is the same one that James and Arthur see right before the chase.
I love it. So not only is Lady evil, but Diesel 10 is actually a good Diesel in this story. Definitely a play on the characters that definitely makes things more interesting. For every new details we get, it brings up more questions. Can't wait to see what this will all lead to in the end.
I love a lot of things of this episode: -First that You makes a dynamic of charecters that never interacted with each other (Arthur and James for example) -Second how emily tried to warned Arthur but in a way also teasing him and how Fergus is Trías to conford him -And third how Diesel 10 and Lady's roles are swaped (and also the aparece of Proteus) I'm really hyped for the next episode , I recomend you to use more lightning in Trainz
Love double checking stuff like in a 3rd re run of this series 6:17 whilst Emily is talking Oliver (scrapped paint work) is in the background at the end of her train
Seeing Proteus stop what appears to be a Spectre (or Lady) makes me think that he could be part of the story. He could be a guardian angel for the engines, and that is my guess.
I was really nervous that James or Arthur wouldve died in this so thank titan they didnt. Very interesting that Proteus has that power I look forward to learning more
11:52 Heh, looks like Bruce and Scuffy's Data have given the Inhabitants of Sodor the reprieve they needed... And I have a feeling the Hymn we heard when James was chugging along at the start was actually being sung by the inhabitants to create a safe area to repel the Siren and Lady.
This episode was insane, and incredible too! Spoilers ahead. I loved that near-the-end scene where Arthur and James were running. The whole sequence was brilliant. Nice job. I loved the use of Runaway Train music, and all the references to James and The Diesel Engines. Wonderful job dude.
Lady’s Human Form , Is gotta be known by now . She literally froze up James water due to the weather. The Whole demons chase was crazy , Duck & Percy Crashing into each other , Oliver coming , Lady watching , Gordon’s Scrapped coming from underneath & Donald chasing after them to only get stopped from D10 (Warship) . We should get a trailer or preview for the next show .
They still live in another dimension! What an outstanding piece of work and the lore that was dropped really builds more to the story and the like easter eggs of the stones is just amazing 😃👍
I have a therory that the engines captured by lady are stuck in the magic railroad i dont have a feeling that they are dead but stuck in another sodor they still think their alive its just that everyone else is gone but them. And in reality lady is using that railway to chase the other engines on the real railway. And whenever a engine is by them they chase after them for answers but the other engines soon vanish. Yes, they may have found the remains of the captured engines, but maybe lady did that to throw off the force and well stump them. Plus i wanna hear what scruffy saw in devious disappearances hes still shaking i believe
THE WAY I WAS ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT ROOTING FOR JAMES AND ARTHUR SKJDJD This episode was GOLD! Especially with the lore! I CANT wait for the next part!!!! 😭😭💖💖💖💖💖 45:00
45:53 never realized there was rusted remains of an engine on the left. looks like Gordon but I thought his remains were scrapped? very mysterious. I love it
This series has been amazing so far. I have a theory the next episode is going to be... BIG... by the time it is taking. So I wonder if we are going to find out a lot in the next instalment?
This was amazing! This is the most we’ve seen of Lady’s lair and the sound of the magic buffers! And the engines being chased by the ghosts of their former friends! And Ten - or Warship omg - saving James and Arthur! The fact that the entire island pretty much knows about Lady and the ghosts is great too. As well as Warship becoming friends with James?? This is amazing, i’m so excited to see what happens next and I can’t wait to see how this all ends.
Dang, I was hoping that James wouldn’t join them but neither him or Arthur joined the damned! Really like the fact you made this episode take place during the winter and a snow storm! Really nice atmosphere and ups the stakes! Also like the backstory you gave to Arthur and gave him a bit of depth! Can’t wait to see what comes next! Also what happened to James’ crew?
Man, I've watched this more times than I'd care to admit! And I've really enjoyed scrolling through the comments too, amazing how people notice or realise things that haven't even cross my mind. Though if I may, I'd like to add a few points that I don't think have been touched upon. MANY have already noticed how saying a prayer can save an engine from the husks. However, what I find interesting is that the prayers seem to specifically summon Warship. Notice how after S.C. Ruffey says his prayer, we hear Warship calling out "Splodge, come and destroy", and the husk of Oliver immediately backs off? And how after Arthur and James cried out to God, Warship appeared out of literally nowhere between them and the husk of Donald? To further add to the mystery, in the latter instance, there doesn't seem to be any tracks where Warship could have appeared from, leaving only the supernatural as a plausible explanation; PLUS he seems to be the only one capable of defeating the husks-- we don't know enough about Proteus so I'm leaving him out temporarily, though we do know that conventional bullets don't work as Donald's husk was barely scratched when the soldiers fired on him (then again, a few bullets can't hurt a steam engine anyways, so maybe that's a factor too). What's weird is that Warship, unlike Proteus, unlike Lady, isn't some unknown entity, we see him working with the MoD on many occasions, communicating with them as comrades do (Unit 10 to Boomer), and even the Sudrian engines refer to him as the "MoD engine", which makes the fact that he seems to have supernatural powers of his own even more interesting. Many in the comments have theorised Warship will play a key role in the eventual downfall of Lady, and I not only agree with that, I'm tingling to see how it'd all go down. Now, I want to talk about James. The poor, poor soul. After S.C. Ruffey, James is the first one to have survived a direct encounter with the husks, though even more notably, James has survived TWICE in the same day, the first instance being how he ended up in the forest all by himself, the second being of course the climax chase scene at the end. AND. James has stared into the face of the husks of both Oliver and Donald, HEAD ON. Jesus Christ that must have been terrifying, I don't know if S.C. Ruffey saw straight into the face of Oliver too (seems Oliver had tried to finish the redeemed truck on more than one occasion), but apart from giving James the deepest sympathy for going through this terrible ordeal, maybe now his info would be invaluable to the fight against Lady and her husks? Though one has to wonder why James was not taken after Lady tried twice, and even sent out ALL her husks to chase after him. One theory I entertain is Arthur being too good and pure a soul, him saving James and him being determined to get out of the forest is what did it; the other theory is of course Proteus' power saving them both, which would explain why James was saved the first time (without Arthur), but which wouldn't explain why James still lost his train and his crew. Speaking of theories, I have an idea as to how Lady operates and what engines she chooses to take, though not nearly a watertight idea: Lady strikes against engines who's spirit is already misguided is some sense, and she corrupts them into a deeper illusion and trance before outright claiming them as their own. This would explain Gordon and Oliver, both being a bit too angry with storm, then abnormally insisting they want to stay in the shed in the forest despite Edward's dissuasions; also Percy, who was so devastated by the loss of Toby, and further destabilised by.his rather serious spats with Thomas, being so taken in by the idea of Ghosts near Killdane; also Donald, who was having a rather violent spat with S.C. Ruffey; and also Duck, who was obviously not in the best states of minds with Diesel around, and still seemed capable of having a semi-normal conversation when Lady gradually started taking over him; also James, who as Fergus said, was already feeling quite lost due to losing so his friends at Tidmouth, and who had already nearly given up for any meaning in living, plus we can see how his misfortunes were deliberately engineered by the deceived to further knock him down a few pegs. The biggest problem I see here is Toby, who wasn't in any kind of conflict or downtrodden situation prior to being taken. Also, I still haven't figured out how Lady decided which engines she takes to be pawns and which are to be killed, for example why were Gordon, Toad and Toby's remains allowed to be found? Why were Diesel and S.C. Ruffey chosen to be finished off instead of being turned into husks, even if you explain it away with it being Oliver's personal beef with S.C. Ruffey what about Diesel? And why did it seem Arthur and James were to be killed directly, was it because Lady realised neither can be satisfactorily turned? My goodness this is long haha. It's been quite a while since a fan series inspires so much in my head, I just had to get it out, and I might continue doing this in the next few episodes too. If anyone reached this point in the essay, you're absolute best!
Though, i *am* curious about one thing after reading your massive essay.. Daylight hasn`t done anything with Henry ever since the Missing 411 episode.. Considering Emily did state that the official numbered engines of Sodor have lowed down.. There`s no more number 4, or 6, or 7, or 8, or 9, or 11. Plus, Lady has been ONLY taking out the *numbered* engines, those being Gordon, Percy, Toby, Duck, Donald and Oliver of course. Leaving only Edward, Henry, James and Douglas as the official numbered engines.. Maybe, she could POSSIBLY be going for the numbered engines only (for now or maybe Daylight will change her target later on in the series). No idea why though.. And, and. We haven`t seen Henry in the background of the other episodes either (that or im just stupid). Plus, Emily was nowhere to be seen where Arthur was coupling up to the special train, even though the Thin Controller wanted BOTH of them to pull it.. Was she taken..?
This episode was fantastic, I really enjoyed James today and that chase scene was icing on the cake. Voice acting seemed to step up once again as well! Music choices were good as per, and visuals were really good. My one complaint is the night scenes being way to dark even on full brightness. If that could be improved that’s be very good. Overall this is the best episode yet, keep up the good work and Merry Christmas to you
I apologize for the spam comments. That chase scene though was amazing, the build up was good too, Arthur talking to James and then Henry's music plays out and then silence and the truck racing passed and finally the chase theme slowly starting, well done.
Holy fuck, this was good. The setting, the story, the music, the feel, the atmosphere, EVERYTHING, all the way down to the last minute or two. Well done.
Whoosh, i had hopes for james and arthur to survive and not be part of the lost soul engines until diesel ten arrived and saved them and beat the one of the lost twins engine model without tender with his claw! I can't wait to see the final showdown of lady causing all these problems. I wonder if all the lost engines curse will be broken and be sent free
Another fantastic edition to this thrilling series, the shots and setting just get better and better though some of the voices are a bit low and hard to hear at times The leadup to and the final chase itself was extremely nerve-wracking as they dodge the husks and lady herself Proteus stepping in to hinder lady just made it all the more interesting to watch aswell as when the whistle kept changing the points (can't tell if its lady, Proteus or both)
this video was literally so heart racing lmao the part where Lady decided to send the husks of Percy, Duck, Oliver and Donald to chase James and Arthur down was really gut-wrenching plus i love the little details while we were in James` view in the chase. Lady sitting in a siding just as they passed her. Another husk which looked like Gordon`s. It`s all very cool and entertaining honestly. I was literally screaming for Arthur to turn around and remember Percival`s warning. And i didn`t realize this at first, but Emily was not there with Arthur to pull the special train. So was she taken as well? Plus, you hiding the husks in some hidden places before the chase was really eerie. Knowing that Lady could send them out at ANY given time. And Proteus helping James and Arthur out of the forest by switching the Husks` to another line, and switching their line out to the mainline was really a relief to see, knowing that he could maybe out-power Lady in one of the future episodes. All that`s left of the numbered engines are Edward, Henry, James, and Douglas. So, i think Lady, is going after the main cast, which is the Tidmouth Team. With the attempt to capture James failing, and one of her husks (Donald) have been shot, she`s going to go berserk. I know she will. And the buffer warping sound effect, at 17:26 and when at the beginning of the chase where a truck was pushed down the line and disappearing. There`s more than one of those? If it is, then those are going to put Lady in a huge advantage. She can teleport her husks from any of those magic buffers, and maybe ambush lone engines. OH, AND ALSO, THE PART WHERE THE CHASE WAS STARTING, JAMES SAYING NOT AGAIN MAY HAVE IMPLIED THAT HE WAS CHASED DOWN INTO THE FOREST AS WELL, MAKING HIM LOSE IS DRIVER AND FIREMEN, AND HIS COAL TRUCKS, MAYBE THATS WHY HE ENDED UP THERE. PLUS THE PART WHERE THEY PASSED THE GORDON-LIKE HUSK, THEY WENT PAST THE STONES, WHICH IS MAYBE WHY THEY WERE CHASED DOWN, *THAT* FOREST COULD BE LADY`S LAIR.
@@Drill-o4g oh YEAH I FORGOT THAT THE ONE THAT NEARLY HAD JAMES WAS OLIVER, *NOT* THOMAS DAMN IT thas what happens when i get too excited, i miss details and come out stupid
An absolutely awesome episode for the series. Bro, I was screaming through every single twist. You have really mastered making people unnerved, with all the extra stuff you put in the background, you force the audience to constantly look back in large overhead shots looking for one of these “husks/deceived” and the devil herself. The character interactions are once again very good. It makes you care about them, which intern makes us worry for them, and their survival. So 4,6,7,8,9 and 11, In this episode, we’ve seen every single one of the deceived engines all except Toby… We definitely know that he isn’t scrapped since we saw him teleport away from the scrapyard. Even in the explanation of the rules, we did not see Toby at all. Maybe there’s a reason for that, the MoD calls these engines, the deceived. I can definitely see why, considering how Percy was taken: following lady into the forest… but Toby; Toby wasn’t like that. Lady ambushed him, teleporting away. Toby and Gordon are the only deceived that actually have remains to be found, toby was found mostly intact, while Gordon was a completed total husk completely rusted. During the chasing we see Gordon again completely rusted, and off the rails. Perhaps I’m looking too much into it, but who knows.
45:45 i do have to question lady's logic of just... standing there watching james and Arthur roll past. Because from what i can take away from the ffarrquarr siren episode, when Lady herself touches you, you're gone. So why didn't Lady just...puff in front of the points?? Something tells me she's not the smartest tool in the shed lol
18:23 Nice to know that Porter is safe and sound. That chase scene was amazing, the pace, not showing the faces of Lady's thralls, and especially the atmosphere. I've walked before in the snow early morning when it's still dark; the different lighting you get in that environment is very spooky, just like here. Proteus taking a more active role, Warship seemingly confirming that the deceived engines can be terminated (if only temporarily), the first proof that Lady can be beaten with no casualties; things are heating up but I wonder how it will end. We haven't seen Henry for a while and his encounter with the lights in the forest seems to be distinct but related to what's happening here. Maybe he might play a key role working with Proteus and these SCP Foundation-looking military guys in stopping Lady.
HOLY CRAP, this was the first in the series for me, but what story to tell. That chase scene was the perfect climax to all the build up in the beginning and seeing all the silhouettes of engines was like playing horror guess who. Looking forward to the next installment.......and the culprit
Adding to my previous comment, the current confirmed count in order so far has been Gordon, Oliver, Toad, Toby, Percy, Duck, and Donald. Most likely trapped behind the buffers in my opinion.
Is it just me or all the engines were a little more dirty than last few episodes? I kinda like it though, it’s quite realistic as the real steam engine usually covers in coal dust. It also helps visualize how the railway was struggling. P.S. I also love how you use UpsideNow them in your video, his theme is awesome.
46:18 Something I haven't seen mentioned yet but I think is very important, there are soldiers who witness Arthur and James leaving the shed with Donald chasing them, a shed they immediately inspect and see it couldn't possibly have held the train that just exited it or allowed them enough run up to reach the speed they were if it had. Warship and the MoD have their first solid lead to Lady's lair and potentially a way to take this battle to her. Another thing to note is that the MoD refer to those taken as "The Deceived", which has interesting implication not least of which is that this has happened before. Does this mean Lady's been active on the island before? (the Vicar's apparent knowledge of what's happening implies so) or are there similar entities on the mainland? Proteus is at least as powerful as Lady (assuming the engine he blocks is her, otherwise he's powerful enough to deny her thralls) which confirms there's at least one more. Interesting developments that I'm looking forward to seeing explored in future installments.
Wow. Just wow. This is worth the 50 minutes 32 seconds of my life I spent watching this. Can't wait for the rest of Forest Horrors. Daylight 3, can we get an estimate on how many episodes are left for this series?
This made the last days of the festive season. It feels like TTTE meets Twin Peaks, I enjoyed both series during cold, fogy and rainy days, which adds up much to the sublime atmosphere. One of the best Thriller Series in the fandom (and on youtube) by far, keep up the great work!
This just gets better and better, the build up. The twists and turns on the story is really good, and the build up to the best story is fantastic I can’t wait to see what’s next.
I like the fact that from James' pov we saw everyone that's dissapeared as well as D10 and Lady looking at Arthur and James ominously

@@joshwalter-t7i : more like Ironically, Bernet Stone is crying in his grave.
Arthur: "Everything should be fine..."
Narrator: "Everything was not, in fact, fine."
Dear lord. The incompetence of Arthur's driver is astounding, I was literally screaming at the video because of how obnoxious he was.
I know i was shaking my head the entire time
To be fair his concern of them crashing was a real threat if they crashed they'd likely be screwed. But at the same time you cant slow down when you have a demon engine chasing after you
He’s in on it 100%
Well, Arthur was a new engine, and likely the driver was new as well.
It seems there are multiple entrances on the magic railroad:
1. is trough Henry's forest where it leads to an old shed where Gordon and Oliver disappeared
2. is on the Peel Godred branch where Percy was captured by the Lady
3. is where Thomas had bumped his truck into the buffers after James had a accident with a leaky Oil tanker
4. is where Proteus stopped Lady.
Who is Fred? I don't remember that name anywhere.

He uh, got turned into a truck. Personally I believe some of the less than reliable trucks were thugs like Fred before lady turned him into a glorified cart. In a way, I would also resent the fact someone turned me into a cart carrying coal and boxes all day, must be the reason why they enjoy tormenting the engines.
@@vietnamtoday9573 Ah, thanks. I just rewatched that episode and now it makes sense.

@the_recitance there’s an A4 ?
@the_recitance Gordon is an A3
@the_recitance oh
In Ffarquhar Siren they find Gordon's husk, which they send to be melted and lady takes only the engine part and not the tender
@the_recitanceWe saw Gordon, but he was on the side of a hill and not on the rails, for some reason.
And speaking of Proteus, his real name is Corporal Kyle Proteus, that's his name.
Proteus is more of an... archangel.
In the tv series Proteus is associated with luck so I think that is why they pray to him
I've been following this story ever since it began back in 2022.
How did she break her rules exactly?
I can’t lie Arthurs driver was being a bit too chill with the whole chase thing if i was Arthurs driver i would be hauling ass outta there
Sodor Horror Thriller done right once again. Each outing into this series gives a bit more of the lore. Can't wait to see what you have in store for us all!
That chase scene was epic!
Dude I wanna see more of this, the engines narrowly escaping! Finally having something new! Someone didn’t die!
I could also see some Easter eggs in the background
It’s pretty ironic that in this au D10 is a good guy
Man during that chase scene i can't help but feel sorry for James as that was likely a very traumatic site
Seeing the "corpses" (i guess) of his friends chasing him and Arthur down must have been quite the scary site
Especially since he had to see all of the engines chasing him and Arthur down
I feel like this is a new version of Sodor: Dark Times, but with even darker stories. I always excited to see new episodes of these.

17:21 Nice little Magic Railroad touch with Thomas collecting coal trucks and one goes through the buffers and no one but Belle seems to notice, or at least Belle can see that something is off and not the truck disappearing right then and there.

@@daylight39 Stumbled upon this series in my reccomended feed. Quite enjoyable. ;) Glad to run into another fellow fan!
Honestly Arthur, as an LMS 2MT, is gonna be my favorite by far, he’s literally the first engine to escape being chased by lady and the husks. The even more impressive fact is that he quite literally carried James too, so Arthur is just an absolute unit.
Dude, it runs very smooth! This makes it 10x cooler, you do an amazing work on these videos, never stop the good work!
25:35 Henry has his Sodor Fallout protection thing.
Either that or it's the inspection thing he had on in one story.
It was originally the performance measuring equipment box from that one story. Doesn't really cover his face.
This has to be telling us that there is more to Oliver than all the other engines.
man, everytime i try to sleep i keep thinking about your videos
its like i don’t wanna stop watching this
Dang, James and Arthur escaped by the skin of they're teeth.
Also this is one of the ways you do a scary story. No blood, no filith, no unnecessary shock value ( using certain topics just for shock value like unnecessary violence twords animals or children), just scary and suspenseful stuff. Heck not even a jumpscare. This is pretty good.

I love this, this is like a modernized sodor dark times, but even better. This is amazing!!
I love a lot of things of this episode:
-First that You makes a dynamic of charecters that never interacted with each other (Arthur and James for example)
-Second how emily tried to warned Arthur but in a way also teasing him and how Fergus is Trías to conford him
-And third how Diesel 10 and Lady's roles are swaped (and also the aparece of Proteus)
I'm really hyped for the next episode , I recomend you to use more lightning in Trainz
45:24 The scene of them running away seeing the missing engines and the standing stone is actually scary

The way you keep sneaking the taken into various shots is... getting really effective to say the least.
Your actually insane I’m sitting here at 2 am just in awe at how much detail and hidden stuff is in this series

This is my favorite episode of the whole bunch. I love the action sequence with James and Arthur!
You are severely underated like it should be a crime
Daylight that chase scene was 1000/1000 never have I ever see something so epic it was scary to and the first person views were top tier well done 👏🏿
4:27 The Andy Griffith Show theme song. Awesome!
Another thing is that the truck has to be the same one Thomas pushed through the buffers when shunting now that’s attention to detail
@@theblackleafninja3858 oh I saw a comment about that sceen with a truck going missing. I forgot about it. So true.
Holy fuck, this was good. The setting, the story, the music, the feel, the atmosphere, EVERYTHING, all the way down to the last minute or two. Well done.
So thrilled right now.
Edit: This is the greatest thing known to Mankind.
Another fantastic edition to this thrilling series, the shots and setting just get better and better though some of the voices are a bit low and hard to hear at times
The leadup to and the final chase itself was extremely nerve-wracking as they dodge the husks and lady herself
Proteus stepping in to hinder lady just made it all the more interesting to watch aswell as when the whistle kept changing the points (can't tell if its lady, Proteus or both)
9:09 that by far is the most haunting shot of Gordon i have ever seen 😳😱
it’s from The Missing 411
this video was literally so heart racing lmao
the part where Lady decided to send the husks of Percy, Duck, Oliver and Donald to chase James and Arthur down was really gut-wrenching
plus i love the little details while we were in James` view in the chase.
Thomas is still alive. Good theory tho
Wait, Thomas? I saw gordon, but i didnt see thomas
Oh, I think I also saw a train next to Gordon
Maybe Toby, I don't know
Maybe it's just my mind
Thomas, Edward, Henry, James, and Douglas are the only ones left out of the #’ed engines of 1-11
@@Drill-o4g oh YEAH I FORGOT THAT THE ONE THAT NEARLY HAD JAMES WAS OLIVER, *NOT* THOMAS
DAMN IT thas what happens when i get too excited, i miss details and come out stupid
I love how every paranormal or ghost entity in sodor is against lady herself as if they knew she was an anomaly herself
It's actually Ministry of defense not SCP and Warship belongs to MoD. 🙂
3:17 It's a brief shot during the 'God Rest Ye' montage but Henry is okay and working.
Who knew this episode can be so adventurous and adrenaline at the same time
HOLY CRAP, this was the first in the series for me, but what story to tell.
Great to see how the others engines are affected by the change.
Easily the best episode yet! I love the new insights we received as to the workings of this universe. I especially love heroic Diesel 10.
20:16 wait a minute, Kirk Ronan station never had a water tower. Especially not on the platform.
He hearted this your on to something!
Probably a new installation for return trains.
I think you're right on most things.
Wow. Just wow. This is worth the 50 minutes 32 seconds of my life I spent watching this. Can't wait for the rest of Forest Horrors. Daylight 3, can we get an estimate on how many episodes are left for this series?
At least 3
This made the last days of the festive season. It feels like TTTE meets Twin Peaks, I enjoyed both series during cold, fogy and rainy days, which adds up much to the sublime atmosphere. One of the best Thriller Series in the fandom (and on youtube) by far, keep up the great work!
I keep hearing proteus’ whistle. I guess he’s saving the engines
This just gets better and better, the build up. The twists and turns on the story is really good, and the build up to the best story is fantastic I can’t wait to see what’s next.
