Family is from there. Spent every minute of every vacation there. Starting at 8 years old until about 16-17. Magical times and that restaurant is easily the best restaurant in the world as far as I’m concerned. I’ve been to Spain, Morocco, France, Israel, Egypt, all over South and Central America, the Caribbean. No contest. I love this video.
That is amazing, thank you for sharing this! It is absolutely delicious. We are looking forward to returning in the very near future. Thank you, friend!
Este es el primer video que veo donde dan un tour en mi ciudad, me alegro que les haya gustado tanto, espero que pronto regresen, les daremos de nuevo la bienvenida con mucho gusto ^^
Bruh this might be one of the dopest things ever. My wife and I are subscribed to your channel and we watched some of your vids before we took off to go to Mexico and what the hell... We were just in San Luis Potosi like last week and now.... Here you are. Noice
Awesome! We were in San Luis Potosí a while ago but the timing on the post is still really cool! 😃 Where all are you guys heading in Mexico? Also, how did you like San Luis Potosí when you were there? Cheers amigo!
For a city of one million people it seemed empty. I remember more people when you were in Chiapas. Thanks for making the tour in the rain and don't feel guilty about the DQ... 🙂
That is true! It is really interesting how Palenque was so packed for an area with a smaller population. One of the more bustling areas we've visited in Mexico to date! Thanks for your support! :)
Loved this! Seth, we love your camper shirt! And we loved that you mentioned vegetarian options, Ang is one and always has a hard time finding food options! Safe travels and happy new year! -Ben and Ang
Cool! We visited SLP city recently and are going back soon to explore more of the state. The waterfalls, etc. Let us know if you have any suggestions for what to see.
We love San Luis Potosi. Loved being the only gringos and the architecture is second to none. We combined it with a trip to Xilitia to see Las Posas. Fantastic area. Can't wait to go back.
Hi there! Nice video. I am glad youade a video about San Luis Potosí, because it is usually overlooked by tourists, national and international. Downtown SLP is full of gracious plazas, churches, convents, and other colonial buildings, and it is much more affordable than San Miguel de Allende. It was a rich mining town back in colonial times, and you see that in the facades of several buildings in the historic center. Hope you enjoy your sejourn in SLP
Thank you for the info on SLP! We noticed the price differences between San Miguel and SLP! Honestly, we enjoyed the culture and atmosphere a bit more in SLP as well, but loved both cities. It's surprising that it gets overlooked, great city. We're already planning a return trip in the next week or so.
Thanks for that tip of veg. quessadillos ..any other items you suggest for vegetarians visiting Mexico? Dog meat 🤪. The city is really amazing. Truly a city of plazas
Taco Bell will never have success in Mexico, if anything probably on the border towns like Tijuana, nevertheless, Mexican people are accustomed to the actual form of a taco, which is completely different from the American concept, and infinitely cheaper.
Yes, but only very briefly to Queretaro and Guanajuato. We really want to spend 2 weeks-1 month in each. They look like beautiful cities. We spent two weeks in San Miguel, that’s got to be one of the most photogenic and charming cities in the world! Thank you amigo!
Thank you, that’s very nice to hear! Will do, it is close to number one on our list to spend some time in next. We will definitely hit you guys up when we’re in town!
FYI: when you see that little accent mark above a syllable in a word, you put an emphasis on that part of the word. So it’s pronounced potoSI…not poTOsi. Just ask a native how to pronounce the name of their city every time you hit a new place. That’s the easiest and most fun way to learn…interacting with the people who live there! Love you two and enjoy your videos!
Thank you, amigo! You are right 😅. Typically we will ‘learn’ the correct pronunciation at first and then mess it up again throughout the day while we’re going around the city and vlogging everything. Especially the cities we don’t spend much time in. This was actually filmed awhile ago and we’ve been improving on remembering the accent marks 👍 saludos!
Interesting with the comparison to Brussels, I’ve never been there but I still get that vibe. I like that you take the time to research local food like the Pozole. Love back story and quant little restaurant, the menu design was ingenious. It’s really great that you go over your air BnB because I bet there’s many people who might not think to consider that. I’d go to Dairy Queen in Mexico 😛, great night shots, the lights reflecting on the wet streets made things ready pop. Happy New Years!
Both of us prefer Puebla. To be fair, we’ve spent a lot more time in Puebla. It’s hard to imagine too many places beating out Puebla. It just has it all. If you prefer warmer weather, SLP is better for that. If you happen to be from the USA or need to visit there often, SLP is about six hours closer driving. Both are amazing cities with great culture, history, climate, things to do, etc. Puebla is near perfect in my opinion because it gives you both a charming, small city feel in the historic center and big, modern city convenience. It has some of the most street food I’ve seen anywhere. You’re only a few hours from Mexico City, which is a big plus for flights. And it’s just extremely charming and lovable. Lively with lots of live music and energy, markets, etc. While also quiet and peaceful plazas and parks. Beautiful places right outside of the city to visit like Cholula and Atlixco offer some of the best history and culture in all of Mexico. Either city is a great choice though and I’d live in either happily. But Puebla would be my first choice overall in all of Mexico that I’ve visited so far. -Seth
@@laurenandseth Wow thank you so much for taking the time to reply in such detail. I'm considering both Puebla and SLP for my next move from Queretaro, but haven't been to either yet. This is really helpful.
Wow it’s beautiful!! The side walks look huge. The people look friendly. Definitely a place we would love to visit. We are leaving Playa Del Carmen and going to Merida. Do you guys have a video of Merida. Looking for some ideas there. Thanks 🙏
Hey guys! I hope you enjoyed PDC :) we absolutely loved Merida. What do you guys think of it so far? We did make a video while we were there I’ll attach the link for you! ruclips.net/video/XvyxOSk6dLY/видео.html 😊
I always make the point to stop at at least one American own business. I like to see what's different on the menu and get that item. Or get something that I love to see if it tastes different
I am native here. They had to have eaten the Costanzo chocolates and the Provi chips, they are original brands from here and both the chocolate and the chips are extremely delicious
That sounds so delicious! We're definitely going to try the Costanzo chocolates and provi chips when we come back, thank you for the tip. We're actually visiting San Luis Potosi again very soon, we are excited!

Oh man, I didn’t know about the Chocolaté Costanzo but after looking it up I can’t wait to try some!! 😋
Chocolatè Costanzo is a MUST in SLP. The Universidad is also beautiful inside.

It's raining! I live there. When it is nice out El Centro has 1000s of people during the day. After 8pm everything is closed and the people leave.

Guys, I love your videos but the city is pronounced "San Luis Po-toh-SEE", not "San Luis Po-TOE-see", as you (mis)pronounced it.
