It was right after Spiritual Healing came out, I was about 15 at the time. We managed to go because my older friend has gotten his driver's license and we drove up to West Palm Beach. I shook Chuck's hand after the show. Can't really say I "met" him, I was just standing in a group of people he greeted and shook hands with. The Spiritual Healing album was life changing for me at the time, as I was just learning the guitar then. I really should go back and listen to Death (and other music that inspired me early on) more often. Everything I've read about him since then proves what I thought at the time, that he was a super cool guy. I wish he was still around.

I love Chuck's voice on TSOP, it's like an angel screaming down from the heavens. That being said, Death predates Fear Factory by about four or five years and just barely edging out Dark Tranquility by a year (that is if you count the Septic Broiler demos).
