i love this game bc 1. free with non intrusive ads 2. great art 3. great mechanics (ive seen reviews saying it was worse but it was fixed later) 4. fun, yet difficult which is a good thing, sometimes games tend to make bosses not difficult, but the fight lasts sooo long, in this game the bosses are very short but especially the last one is difficult and takes a lot of tries 5. lovely story, hit me in my feels similar to persona 2 innocent sin and THAT is a huge accomplishment for a game, im not the type to get very emotional but these 2 games i just couldnt help it, that shows how deep the story is for such a simple fun game 6. I think I just realised something. So the first level is called nameless grave, right. What if, this whole game, the cat was passing through all the levels of getting through the stages of going to heaven. The bosses were the ones to try and stop the cat from going the heaven, to make it go to hell. But Nora, Jellyhead and everyone else were the cat's guardian Angels, trying to help the nameless cat pass through the tough journey... I M N O T S U R E I W A N T T O F I N I S H T H I S G A M E N O W ; - ;
I took me 9-10 hours and 920 ries doing this, but it was worth it! A few details/theories: 1. The spirit may have been an animal that had been abandoned before, that's why they had a grudge against humanity 2. The "nameless cat" is a stray, hinted by the first postcard. The gravestone seemed to have no (readable) name on it... so the cat may be nameless. 3. They have both been wronged by humans, but only our cat still has the memories of good humans (her owner) so that is why the spirit opposes them 4. The spirit could have been a corrupted pet bird. Nora stated that people who stay for too long in this world can become corrupted and become hostile, and during the fight, the spirit has wings and crows (?) can be heard. However, it may just be a coincidence as crows are usually a symbol of death. 5. The cat chose to visit their owner one last time, and perhaps kept the little amount of memories left and rested in peace. It is unknown whether or not the cat is back in the Land of the Dead or is permanently dead. 6. "She" or "her" is the source of their power, and the spirit remarks that the cat has her eyes. Scattered around the level are some statues of an angelic girl theoretically resembling the cat's owner. Otherwise, it could be a statue of the spirit's owner either symbolizing the desire for revenge or longing for the days where it was cared for ;u;
Oh, when the girl spoke about cats going to a quiet place then waiting for their death, I remembered one of my cats Shivers who died when I was a kid. She just one day up and walked away then went missing for days, we found her alone in a clearing near our home, near where we burried one of her brothers. I nearly cried.
I didn't realize that the teleport crosses were grave marks until I saw the ending... When I realized the cat going into his/her grave mark made by his/her owner and realizing ALL of the crosses were grave marks just hit me hard
I KNOW RIGHT SAME!!! THAT HIT ME SO HARD!! at first I thought it was those water sources at the side of the rood for fires or something but I didn't really think about it until i saw the grave. Made me cry so much
The first boss fight scared the absolute crap outta me. I didn't hear the music change because my ear buds were broken so I was just walking around all fine and dandy until I get eaten by a giant red worm.

Quick review by some random dude on the internet. It all started when i was browsing the app store for some neat games to play, and as i was scrolling this game in particular stood out to me. Something about the name really piqued my interest, because at that time i was used to seeing unoriginal names simply meant to "stand out". But this one, i felt like it was different. Before i knew it, i opened the game and checked it out. The reviews were pretty neat, and it sounded good, but what did it for me was the previews. "A 2d, pixel platformer on mobile" This was a rare find for me, since i am a sucker for good 2d pixel platformers. And something about the palette used really piqued my interest. I downloaded the game and gave it a try, not expecting much, but was immediately sucked in by the music. The music, in my opinion, is just as important to a game as Paint to a house. Without it, it just seems empty and boring. Music in video games can portray so many feelings, from happiness, to sadness to even excitement. And as i started playing, from the beginning to now, the music never once let me down. Throughout the game the sprite-work also was outstanding. The animations always seemed so natural and the controls were just simply awesome. This game not only has great sprite-work, music, controls and game-mechanics. But each and every character was so interesting and well-written. In the end, this game is GREAT. Everything from the controls to the sound feels so great, and the idea of "Teleporting", and the many ways it is used, it just never gets old. It was fun, sad and sadly very underrated. This INDIE GAME, that is FREE , is so incredibly underrated it is actually sad. I really hope that more people find out about it, perhaps even a sequel one day. The first one's not even a boss fight, it's just you running for your life, imagine if it was though... That would be a nightmare, especially for people who just played it.

As a person who finished this game let me just say this game bring so much anger but the ending is worth the pain you'll felt happy even if you've seen the ending already, doing it yourself is an amazing feeling
There are some exceptionally hard levels which take some time and it's so amazing but the real hard thing is the last boss I've been trying for 3 days, just finished the game, only to realize I skipped the last postcard lol But after I learned how to beat it I shortly collected it
I played this game a while ago because the pretty graphics. But the controls are bit funky at chapter 3 Soo I didn't try lol. This is beautiful, it was shocking to see the little light thingy was the final boss EDIT: JUST FINISHED IT OMG THE SATISFACTION OF BEATING HIM AAA

Nora didn't know, but that World was the afterlife, everyone were actually dead, that's why Jellyhead and Nora had no memories of how they ended up there

To Nora and Jelly, he might as well have died-died again, because no matter what, he wanted to go back to the ones he loved, and who loved him back. God I've got to play this again some time

I think it's because of the subtle creepiness coming out of nowhere, and having a sad reveal of the story. The music is calm and and atmospheric, the characters are funny and special. Oh, and also the classic gameplay
I also felt like it was undertale, when I was fighting the boss battles makes me feel like fighting sans because it's really hard and you have to do it again and again but was really fun when you finish it (not killing sans tho but defeating the bosses)

Wdym? Boss 2 is the easiest for me. (I beat 'the caretaker' 5-7 times, the dragon/amalgamation 3-5 times and the guardian/fly 7-9 times)

Ох, я помню насколько трудный был первый босс.. Я прошёл его чисто за счёт бага. Вроде его упростили, но ещё помню тот ад.. Остальные боссы не такие уж сложные, лично для меня.

I think it's because of the subtle creepiness coming out of nowhere, and having a sad reveal of the story. The music is calm and and atmospheric, the characters are funny and special.
Oh, and also the classic gameplay
I also felt like it was undertale, when I was fighting the boss battles makes me feel like fighting sans because it's really hard and you have to do it again and again but was really fun when you finish it (not killing sans tho but defeating the bosses)
