Hi bro. Im planning to get into 600cc supersports. Looks like ZX6R 2009-2011 suits my budget. Do you mind sharing if this bike is still relevent in 2025. Since the bike will be 13-15 years already.
I'm not sure what is your meaning about "still relevant", the bike is still a powerful performance motorcycle, probably just lacking rider aid like traction control, ABS, no fancy TFT screen, etc. Just basic so rider need to have the essential skills cannot rely on some computer to help you ride. Getting a used bike, there is always some hidden or unexpected cost, something that needs to be changed or fixed or adjusted, etc. Not to mention the overall condition and upkeep of the bike. If you get a good one, you won't have much surprises, but still need to standby some extra money just in case. I just need major service and had an unexpected radiator hose part fail for my ZX6R and had to get that fixed, but otherwise it's just fine. You can check out the playlist what has been done to the 6R for the past 11-12 years.
@ Great! Thanks for the response. Been watching zx6r contents from you for a while now. Cant find other contents from malaysia abt this bike. Well aware of the lacking jn rider aids, I prefer raw bikes. Less electronics, less issue I guess?
@AfifIdlan Generally yes, less electronics, less sensors, less things you need to worry about, even those things can fail, and are not cheap to replace.
Definitely not, helmet besar ur helmet facing foward, but ur face can facing other direction..plus if the helmet shell is big, with ur small body, it looks weird..haha..

Yup, I don't understand how some people can wear wrong size helmet, especially larger size.. Just feels not secure when riding..
