I don't understand your tactics in this one. There are so many oil derrecks and gems. It's safe to assume that your enemy, who had less units than you, would have equal or more amount of money as you (which is a LOT of money). So why go for his miners? Why not knock out his nuclear reactor around 5:15? This would bring down his power, slowing production, and blow up all his oil derrecks which would severely hamper his future income.
I was thinking the same thing.
One advantage of going for the miners is to delay their tank/base production for a short while, since they will want to replace them ASAP.
@@robrargh1 I know this is a year late but fuck it. So many chronos, It seems pointless to bother. I guess malaboo getting salty was distracting.
Malaboo Is Always like "watch your tanks", "watch your base" And everytime he got rekt first, not paying attention :D classic, love it! :D
May I say that I draw much satisfaction from the comical contrast between you and Malaboo. Especially when you answer Malaboo's curses with these remarks in the style of an english lord. Like this time, "they didn't do anything wrong, they are playing well"...which marks also a good sense of fairness, which I appreciate.

He played the end game very poorly IMO. Could have easily had better air defense. No reason for that, given the map control he had.
I've seen this behaviour in a lot of RTS players. They're so set in they're ways playing fast aggressive games they're useless at "no rush" or late-game.
Yeah it’s one thing to not see it. He sees them he hears low power and doesn’t bother building more flak tracks until everything is gone

I love how this game is still being played actively. This game was my fucking childhood and I love it today as much as I did back then. Just had to subscribe you for keeping this gem alive, keep going!
This might be my favorite match from you so far. The screen hopping from one place to the other 13:00 onward, trying to salvage your base while destroying red's was skillful on your part and super intense to watch. That slow fade at the end was appropriate too, slowly dimming with your chances of winning. Epic. That being said, I thought my computer was bugging out at first. Maybe show another couple of seconds of the end next time to eliminate some of the confusion if the video was supposed to end or not. Or, you can keep doing what you're doing and not listen to a schmuck like me, I'll watch your videos anyways... Great work!

I played 1 online match got my ass handed and uninstalled the game 5 minutes later.

Brian could you do a video on how AI battles are different and easier/harder than multiplayer battles? Are they relatively the same or do you have to do much different strategies, play more offensively, or more defensively?

Hasan Soubra AI generally works in patterns , once you've established what the patterns are and have systems in place to nullify then the battle is a foregone conclusion . online these patterns don't exist , thousands of different 'actual intelligence' employing different tactics

I think it was smart of the enemey to build in each others bases for fast support but also to stay alive if one base got destroyed

i would recommend a different build path here. buy war factory before the refinery and start pumping out units immediately. then build a refinery, a naval yard, 2 more refinery for harvesters and then tech up. by this time you will have tonns of units. with that much oil you really dont need to start with eco. also going for enemy harvesters is pointless because of the oil

Wondering why you didn't go for their oil derricks ~5:30 in. I think they would have all set each other off and destroyed the nuclear power plant in one shot.

Not your best game i've seen. Especially careless with those rocketeers bringing down your base while you focus on your tanks. But i still enjoyed the video!

It's been almost a decade for me since I touched Red Alert 2/ Yuri's Revenge, but if you've got money to blow, why not use Apocalypse tanks + Iron Curtain? Am I missing something? Knockout the power to take down base defenses, knock out the Con Yard so they can't rebuild and then go for the War Factory. It shouldn't take more than six or seven, and they're pretty powerful. Also, they can defend against Rocketeers and Harriers/ Eagles.

Are you playing this on the regular cd? or did you download a version of red alert online? i used to play this as a kid and i'm sure it died out a while back so i'm confused how you're playing it?

Why no body is targeting the repair station? That with the war factory allow players to build MCV. Once that is down and no construction yard, then no MCV and it is just about war of attrition.

I am noob, so can someone explain me, why they are not attacking their oil refineries?
I think it's because they wanted to stop the other team's production capabilities. Money doesn't do any good if you can't spend it. There are also tons of gems, so knocking out the oil doesn't hurt as much as it seems.

Maaaaan. You seem to do not know what to do when you manage to get inside a base.

You should seize the opportunity and level them too, and reds would be condemned to use his current unities. Check mate.
Instead of going to the miners, why not going after the refineries?
They have less health, cost more, and will have to be rebuilt anyway...
Destroying the refineries will make them (probably) sell lots of the base, even defenses, or the battle lab... and if you manage to destroy the yard is death.
Marcio Oliveira because destroying a refinery can be redundant if they have another one, if you have three refineries and lose 2, it's not nearly as bad as having 3 miners and losing 2.
In either case, if he was going to attack resources, the oil refineries were the way to go. They have a small amount of health and can't be rebuilt so the opponent never recoups those losses. Also, on this particular map attacking the refineries also puts you in position to attack the reactor.
He fell into overly relying upon the reactor for power, so once the opponents rocketeers took it down, all of his air defenses went down and they were able to destroy most of his base with a small amount of resources.

i think this is the first one i have seen you lose! You need a less salty partner, a level head is required for playing any of the cnc's online and he always proves that he doesn't have one. How are you still able to make YR play online? I can play A.I.s but it says the server is down. Is there another hosting service out there?

I don't understand the strats on this one at all, if you have basically unlimited income and are expecting rocketeer harassment why not spam flak troopers while you're off fighting? Why not build a backup mcv?
