Fantastic musicianship. You have such a great earthy style of singing - the power of some of the old guys without sounding like you're trying to imitate them. Thanks for sharing with us.
That's a great rendition. Love the sound of that banjo - those gut strings have such a soothing sound. Are they special strings for banjo or are they guitar strings? Always a pleasure to hear you. Take care.
Yea, I think those were "nylgut" strings. Gut strings are awesome for many reasons, but the last set I paid for were made wrong or something and they unraveled and fell apart--so I stopped buying them.

Swamp fox! Sounding good, sir.
I'm certainly a little late to comment but I love that banjo, I wonder who made it
Bob Thornburg made that in California about 1999.
Are you able to tighten those tack head pots?
Hi Clifton what kind of banjo is this? I’m looking to get a fretless tack head and love this sound.
Bob Thornburg made that banjo in the late 1990s. All antique wood he did a really nice job.

Are these minstrel strings? or reg aquila light or mediums
Is this an 11" or 12" pot, out of curiosity?
That's a small banjo, Sarah. I think it's closer to 10". I bought that from a guy who builds them using antique grain measures.
