For 1995,VX1000 is a monster off a camera. Yes,is not great in lowlight but othen then that if you know how to set it and use it,it can produce some really quality video. Now,imagine having that in 1995 !
hey! i don’t know if this is too late or what you where asking but your fisheye would wiggle because you have your camera on “ steady shot” just make sure that’s turned off. watching beagles vx1000 tutorial with the ride channel will help explain things like this
Yo bro I got a question for you, I just got my VX2100 the other day and whenever I put the tape in it and turn the camera on it makes like a noise and it’s in standby mode is this noise I’m hearing normal? It’s kind of a like little sound I can’t really explain it but when I take the tape out the noise stops whats your thoughts on this?
I used to own a PD100 and have shot on the 150. I don't understand why skateboarders are so obsessed with these cameras today though, they're garbage now. Low resolution, interlaced, 4:1:1 color. Forget it. I'd rather shoot on an iPhone from five years ago.
@@roxics "low resolution, interlaced, 4:1:1 color". that's exactly why skaters love it, because of the looks. the other reason is when it's combined with a fisheye it looks glorious. also it can be de-interlaced which solves that part.
@@rupert6478 Yeah but when the format first came out and skaters first started shooting with that camera, it was cutting edge tech. So you would think new skaters would also be using cutting edge tech today rather than just copying each other for 25 years. Especially now that we have high quality low cost action cameras that are made for stuff like this, with built-in ultra wide lenses.
I need to know about batteries, I’ve had my 2100 for a bit now and all of a sudden when it turns on it says I have to use lithium battery and that’s what’s I’m using already, the default Sony battery it came with
hey i had a problem with the playback on my vx1000, i recorded on a mini dv tape and i had it in my sony vx1000, i connected it to my tv with a rca cable, and i set it to vtr, rewinded the tape, and pressed play but the tv did nothing, i know it had a signal from the camera because if it doesnt have a signal it will say "no signal" but it was just black. can anyone help me?
luv it
I bought a vx 2100 for 75$ brand new with 10 sony tapes and 3 batteries

You had me at "fakka"
Thanks for posting, I used to use these when they first came out, now looking to get back into them, very helpful
Always turn off auto lock or your custom presets will not work
how do i do that?
Stupid comment, but I find it cool that we have the same name (my name is Victor too) and we both have a vx
Can you do a setting video ? Thanks a lot though it did help but I notice how you said the fisheye can wiggle and I have noticed that in the footage
Also how were you able to upload the video in 1080 ?
@@edwincontla what do you mean by 'a setting video'? Also how to render your footage at 1080p tutorial is linked in the discription! :)
@@victorstienen5069 oh like you’re camera settings ! Also thanks just saw the link !
That’s your steady shot. Open the little door thing and turn it off whenever you film fisheye

Lots of Japanese VX1000 around , talk about a learning curve
2:50 nahh you cant be disrespecting Beagle like that bruh. Dude has done more with a VX than anyone.
Any recommendations on a rip camera or just any MiniDV camcorder will do?
great vid, got a optika lens like you but I don’t have black corner style on my footage. Do you know how to fix that ?
if you add (multiple) spacer rings between the fisheye and the camera you might get the vignette you want. I got one with my optika lens, didn't you?
@@victorstienen5069 thanks I will try with new large spacer ring Yes got one with my opteka but is broken :(
