This information is really old. Have been staying in Limerick from 2019, never heard of such stabbing thing. When I was student , used to work at McDonald's part time and my shift timings were really late where I used to travel alone after 12 PM. I also stayed in Cork for 1.5 yrs and still feel safer in Limerick than Cork. It used to call stabbing city ages ago.
