    Great channel, check with your local library, many have seeds to share, imagine sharing seeds throughout the U.S.A. and supporting our library's 🥰

    I use the sticky traps for fungus gnats, and Gnatrol. I've had huge infestations in the past and that's all that's helped. I have mosquito bits, and didn't have luck with them for the gnats. But it works well in my rainwater barrel outside, for mosquitos.

      Good to know. I will have to research the other solution. This is the first I've heard of it.

      @@HangingwithKim It's expensive if you have to buy the large size. But I was able to find small packets, and it was reasonable. You don't use much.

    Thanks Kim! Another video that taught me good things! I got my Journal and need to finish putting all the seeds in it. It’s really going to be helpful and It’s going to fit in the pocket of the little bench we got! WOO HOO! I got my grow lights so I can begin planting when I get it filled out and the soil I need! I’m so excited! Thanks for all you do to help us! ❤❤❤

    I "started" my peppers 16 days ago and they still haven't shown themselves. Every year I hold my breath until they sprout. They're sooooo slow!
    Question: when you over winter your peppers do you wait for them to go dormant first? Mine didn't work last year but they were still in full bloom when I brought them in. (We were due for a frost so I brought them in.)
    Happy gardening!!!
    Betty from Dayton here.

      Betty what temperature are they at? Mine go a lot faster when they're warmer! If you don't have a heat mat, maybe you can try putting them on top of the refrigerator. It tends to be pretty warm there! Or in a spot that gets warm from having a lot of sun. Good luck!

      I am new to overwintering peppers. All I did was cut the stems all the way back to almost the ground and brought them indoors and put them inside my indoor grow tent. The temperature in my indoor grow space averages between 70 and 80°.

    Great video! I'm in zone 6a as well (Dayton), when do you begin trans- planting outside?

    • @HangingwithKim
      @HangingwithKim  8 месяцев назад

      Onions will probably go out the first week in April. Along with cool weather crops like broccoli, cabbage cauliflower kohlrabi, celery. Our last frost is around the last week of April. So the only plants that can go out are frost hardy ones.

    Hi Kim, you do have a lot of peppers to start! I only have 4, that's plenty for me, but I do sterilize my soil too. I started my peppers February 8, and always in paper towel, to guarantee germination. Do you still have snow on the ground? I'm waiting for ours to go.

    • @HangingwithKim
      @HangingwithKim  8 месяцев назад

      Hello, the snow is all gone. It only stayed for about three or four days. It got up to 60°F. Yesterday, so that took care of anything that was left behind. I started 35 different peppers in the video. I did put in extra seeds to help germination.

      It depends on the type you have. The original planter holds 8 gallons each tier and the leaf planter hold 6 gallon each tier.

    I’ve tried the Habanada and was disappointed. I also grew a no heat hadanero called Roulette and it was much more prolific and ripened earlier.
