    Thanks great shots, Mirfield station was a lovely station afar cry from a bus shelter and teletuby voice announcing trains 😔😎

    And yet despite all the badly needed upgrading and restoring of tracks and stations Huddersfield has no direct link to London, both Mirfield and Brighouse have regular trains to the Capital. Let’s hope eventually Huddersfield also gets a London link.

      Obviously I cannot guarantee any of this will indeed happen in the future, but, LNER were actively having their drivers and guards learning Huddersfield with the plan to have some services start at Huddersfield and go directly to London via Wakefield Kirkgate. I believe this was put on hold due to the TRU but I would imagine that plan is still on the table once works have been completed on this section between Huddersfield and Ravensthorpe.
