Everyone hates ebikes till they buy one. Biggest day yet on my Orbea Wild FS, 5090 ft of climbs and 8 descents. Best invention since sliced bread and still 22% battery left.
This is how I ride my Levo, I put it in turbo and ride it as hard as I can. It’s just as hard a ride as a non electric bike just much faster and more exciting. There are still a large number of people who are ignorant about EMTB and don’t understand the nuances. Yes it can be much easier if you choose it to be, but it can also be just as hard an effort (as a non electric bike) but much faster. With an EMTB you get a choice. This ex XC racer is never going to be without an EMTB. They’re amazing and I love it. I only have one bike now, my EMTB. Many cyclists appear to be afraid of liking E Bikes, almost as if it will made them ‘no longer pure’. I had this feeling when I switched and it faded to nothing after 10 minutes.
on Strava I follow riders some with MTB’s and others with EMTB’s, that use our local trail centre. In a typical two hour session, the MTB’s are covering 10-15 miles whereas the EMTB’s will be shredding twice the distance in the same time. In terms of calories used and HR, the EMTB’s burn far more energy in the same time, so in my simple conclusion, keep you fitter too
Apart from a good advertisement for the bike, I don't get this vid. Why do these channels think they need to justify ebikes. Don't waste your air time on cynics, everyone has a choice and if you can't afford one, save up or do a payment plan!
@@MBRmagazine I think this video is a brilliant idea, the essence was quite interesting to me! Because it's basically the reason I am also planning to get an E-Bike. The pinnacle would have really been a comparison to a normal bike like the non-E Ransom, but I know that I am doing roughly half of the ascending/descending on my local trails currently in almost double the time, and I am quite fit (did 3000m ascending+descending in one day on a road bike lately). So I will most likely be able to triple my downhill time in the after-work sessions, which definitely is a big selling point to me
seems like a fake 'test'... you had to wait for the camera person to be at the right place to get the shot, then prep for the next shot, etc.. given all the third person shots taken it seems like you just made up the numbers for this ad
Wow what a pointless video. Since you used the word indicative. Your personal fitness is indicative so is the area you ride and what you ride. Going by your message of more is better, in a hour I’m able to way more km on my dirt bike. Not a EMTB! no still a bike and also motorised, a EMTB is a different style of bike too. Whilst motorised bikes help you on the accents some give no benefits on the descents. The fact is, the purity of riding a bicycle is diminished with a motor, and the that’s why many cyclists aren’t fans. Personally for the insane cost of them, I’ll stick to my bicycle and my motorcycles.
He's riding a bike with 180mm of travel. Pretty sure that gives a benefit on the descent over what a typical person would ride on those trails. eBikes are advantageous in many more way than the video gets across. I've raced dirt bikes and MTB's for 20 years and eBikes aren't like a moto, they're just an mtb you can ride harder for longer.
Hey bro. Are u a Passonate rider. I support your riding passion. So I stayed connected. I am a photographer, video artist. I will open passinate rider video art series tomorrow morining. I want to present it for you too. See you there. 🌿⛹

Brilliant vid 100% all the way!
Wow never knew there was so much off piste at swinley! This would be easy on my chipped S5 kenevo
Cable cam footage was epic
Surely this should have included you doing an hour on the standard ransom to see the difference both in distance and HR etc.
Watch paul the punter,he did something like that

that has to be (almost) the worst spot to put a GPS headunit... :)
Terrible if you’re knock kneed but fine if you’ve got bandy legs😉
Disliked for referring to a normal bike as an analogue bike.
😅😂🤣
What do you prefer? Acoustic? The Past? Throwback? The way we used to live? 😂😂😜

We thought it was a fun challenge, and judging by the number of our friends who have had a crack at it as well, people seem to like the idea.

We shot the intro, did the challenge with a go pro on the whole time, then went back after to shoot some more riding footage to fill in the gaps.

A decent full suss bike is usually 3k so price-wise not much difference when compared to say a cube ebike or if you start talking santa cruz then... 👀

I’m convinced ebikes are priced for the cycle to work schemes - its the only way I can afford one! At least that helps support the LBS near me too.
