The magnetic north pole is in constant motion, just seems the press have caught onto it and used it recently. At some point the poles will flip, called magnetic reversal, wait till that happens, on average every 200,000 to 300,000 years, the last reversal was 780,000 years ago so long overdue.

The waves increased in intensity almost out of nowhere. Even if it was an underwater landslide like it was soecilated, it'll be extremely difficult to prove due to the government's limited budget, we'll probably just call it "weird weather", fix the damages and forget it in a week or two.
