Great old rifles. I regret not picking one up back when they were dirt cheap like the Mosin Nagant

Man you’re telling me. I remember seeing crates of Yugo SKSs for sub 100 per. The very first rifle I bought in high school was an SKS.

Thanks brother! Yea something different than my normal video type. I’m gonna try and make this a quarterly or so video series where I take something out to shoot that’s not been out in a long time.

The SKS has seen some things. It's better than the AK in some ways. Great rifle, a memory of dad, and fun on the range. I mostly used mine for deer hunting.

I’ve loved these since I was a kid. First rifle I bought when I started working in high school was a Chinese Paratrooper model that I passed down to my oldest daughter when she graduated. Wish I had some more SKS rifles, but glad I have this one.

My first one was a Chinese Paratrooper. They’re nice too, but hard to beat the original Russian versions.

I inherited one of those and it’s still wrapped in bubble wrap and cosmoline. I need to get it shooting again. I know nothing about those but it an interesting bridge from the Mosin to the AKs.

They are fantastic rifles! Man I’d get that thing shooting. Any idea which SKS variant it is? I’ve owned a handful of them. The first one I passed down to my oldest daughter.
