  • Hello everyone! I am back! I don’t even know where I went because I was here the whole time! February came and went way too fast. I was creating content but time got away from me. With that said, I thought we could change it up and go everything I DIDN’T finish in February! I think it’ll be a fun change up. I hope you enjoy!

    Girl this is the most relatable video I've ever seen in my life LOL this is my biggest problem too I have so many projects that are almost done or just need finishing touches and I just can't bring myself to get them done but once in a while I'll have a spurt of energy and I will finish stuff and my daughter is like see if you could just do that from the beginning you would have been done with that months ago LOL!

      I am so glad you can relate! Haha. It’s just so fun and never ending and before I can finish anything I see something and have to start it immediately! Haha. The finishing touches are definitely were a lot of them just die for me, but I am working on it. It’s fun to have something finished, but it’s more fun to start a new project lol. Thank you for being here!! 🤗💞🧶

    I say finish the green sweater and the sleeves of the 2 tone sweater. Sleeves take longer than the project sometimes. The jeans yarn is stretchy to me. Love this video I love starting projects. Have a ton started then I wait and bag up a few and finish them one weekend out the month.

    • @crochetdaybyday
      @crochetdaybyday  7 месяцев назад

      You’re right! Sleeves do take longer! But it’ll be worth it in the end. I’m hoping to finish it up this month! It’ll be a nice relief to have it done and add to my collection, both the green and two tone sweaters. I do love the jeans yarn! It is so nice to the touch. Love love love it! This month has got me on a mission to finish a bunch of stuff! Thank you for encouragement and advice! Thank you for watching too!!! 💞🤗🧶

    @8:30 - I love the (half) sweater. The stitch pattern is really nice. It might be the color you don’t like ( I don’t like, and I like green 🤷‍♀️).
    I’m also glad somebody has more unfinished projects than me, lol. The adhd is FOR REAL!!! I totally get the never getting things done!! I deal w constant pain and there’s a threshold where it’s therapeutic to crochet and others where it’s not. So totally get it!!

    • @crochetdaybyday
      @crochetdaybyday  5 месяцев назад

      I think you might be right! It’s probably the color. I like the color, but not with that pattern? Good catch! Makes sense now, haha. I am so glad you and I can relate! Lately I haven’t really wanted to crochet a ton because of the ADHD, but I still have been since it’s such a habit now, I think, haha. Thank you for watching and commenting! 🤗💞🧶

    I just began crocheting the end of last year. I have found I do one project at a time because I can't wait to see the finished product. I am currently wrapping up a Mary Maxiim squared diamond cocoon cardigan for my daughter in law . I previously made the Life and yarn Cozy Cocoon Sweater and the coffee shop cardigan by Evelyn and Peter from Lion Brand . I have found several other patterns I can't wait to try.

    I'm always tired 😫 like you! If you've got as far as you have with some of those projects, e.g., the olive top, you should finish them. With regard to sewing up and finishing, make sure you do it staightaway with projects from now on and also complete one per day from the outstanding pile. Try not to look at them as a group; you'll get demoralised! 😊❤

    • @crochetdaybyday

      Excellent idea! I just need to change my process and sew as I go. I’ve been wanting to do that so I actually finish projects, but I think now is the time! Haha. And I think I will finish the green top. It’s half way there so might as well! I am trying to finish one at a time and so far we are making progress! Thank you for the tips!! Love them!! 🤗💞🧶

    Hey thanks for showing us your Hobbi advent progress! It’s funny how you shake your head at yourself for procrastinating on the finishing touches - I’m the procrastination queen so I can definitely relate! I know you’ll get to it at some point. They are very cute projects. I have yet to start on my Hobbii advent as I’ve been focusing on finishing my first shawl that I’ve been working on for over a year (with a long hiatus in between) and I just finished it tonight!! Planning to do my first blocking on it too. Feels great to finish a thing! But your closing message about it being okay to not finish a thing is true too - Though it feels great to finish something, it’s no use beating yourself up if you haven’t yet. If one really wants it, they will get there!
    Okay I think that green pullover will look awesome! When you said you were going to undo it I was like awww what a shame… If you are looking for encouragement to finish it, you have it from me!! But if you don’t like it, do what you feel is best ❤
    February was insane!! 🤯 There was a lot of chaos and hostility floating around.
    I have had Hobbii winter glow on my wish list for a long time now - they have a free pattern for like a cowl thing that uses it and I love the look of it. Now that I see it in use here I like it even more. Love that oat colour!
    Omg that blanket cardigan 😍
    Looking forward to checking out your Etsy! Here’s to hoping March is a productive as we hope! 🍻

      Yay to finishing your first shawl! That's so exciting! I made a Hobbii advent video kind of explaining how to make the beaning from the ribbing. It was easier than I thought, and I think I remember you mentioned a while back that it seemed intimidating. I'll try to make something to show how to work up the beaning with the moss stitch right away after the ribbing is complete.
      Anyway! haha, I'm on the fence with so many things, so I may finish the pullover, maybe not, we shall see! While I was editing this video I definitely felt inspired to do a bunch of these projects and actually finish them. I may end up finishing it.
      February WAS insane! I think you just nailed it. That's part of what it was I think.
      I am very excited about the blanket cardigan because sometimes I get tangled in the blanket so this might solve that problem! hahaha
      Thank you for watching and being here! I appreciate you!

      @@crochetdaybyday yes that was me who was intimidated by the beanie lol. If you get a chance to show the transition from ribbing to regular stitch in a future video, that would be awesome 😊 No rush though, I’ve got several unfinished things to work on! 😅

      Just a thought regarding your issues with exhaustion and feeling crappy etc - Have you taken a food sensitivity test? Sometimes the IGG tests need to be taken with a grain of salt as sometimes even healthy foods can trigger an inflammatory response because they fight pathogens in the body, but they can also flag foods that are common allergens (best to confirm using elimination and reintroduction method).
      Anyway this helped me discover years ago that eggs weren’t good for me. I was on a pretty healthy weight loss diet but I was eating like 2 hard boiled eggs every day. I became tired and lethargic and just unwell and I couldn’t figure out why. When the IGG test identified eggs as a strong sensitivity, I eliminated them and immediately felt better. Just an anecdote.

      @@chezarctica7386 That's an excellent idea! I completely forgot about food sensitivity. I have celiac so I stay away from all things gluten, but I hadn't thought of any other food allergies. Thank you for the suggestion! I'll have to look into it! 🤗🧶💞

    You may want to get checked for autoimmune conditions. I have Lupus among other things and that was my first symptom was extreme fatigue exhaustion didn't feel good all around and my hair started falling out. It took 9 years to figure out that I have lupus

Glad you know what is going on now and are hopefully able to manage your lupus. It’s so frustrating when you don’t feel good and no one is listening, including the body! Thank you, thank you! 🤗💞🧶
