I don't understand why you pronounce ו as 'vav' but change it to a 'w' sound when you get to His name. Also, didn't the Masoretes provide niqqud for this word as well? It would seem to me that it would be pronounced Yehvah. Not Yahweh. It would be nice to have this clarified instead of dancing around the topic. I think it's a pretty big topic as He repeatedly made reference to His name in the TaNaK.
