- I spent a week training in Andorra right before the 2021 Tour de France - riding the same roads and the same climbs the race would take on. Here is my break down of three of my favourite climbs in the country: Arcalis, Ordino, and Beixalis. The final climb is the same one Jumbo-Visma's Sepp Kuss attacked on and won from during stage 15 of the Tour.

This is by far the best upload in your channel, great music and amazing videography compositions. Iconic “ggooooood morning!”
Cheers Bill! Glad you enjoyed it!
Much Andorra. Falling in a snowy ditch is a good idea for a vlog though
Absolutely stunning scenery wow. Although those climbs scare me. I'm not built as a climber!
Those roads tho!😍 ...I may have mentioned that before ....
Another awesome video with awesome views!
Thanks Wade! They’re something up there, that’s for sure 👌🏼
Cant wait till We get there. Love your vids.
Great how there always seems to be a friendly cyclist to take a picture of you as you "conquer cols" no matter where or when you are there. I got some ace images on my first trip last year thanks to friendly souls.
Oh yeah and Willie Smurfy's channel is great - been a long time follower.
Great video as usual mate! Keep it up 👍
Lovely! Had the chance to climb the Arcalis in May, with snowfall in the last kilometers and snow walls at the top to lean my bike against. So nice to see how different the landscape looks now. On the other hand, the views from the Ordino switchbacks are perhaps the most stunning ones out there. Great and inspiring video T!
Awesome editing!!! Grew up in AND, as a child Ordino wasn't col, but a hiking path. Now one of my iconic climbs....you transmit the spirit!!!
Bloody hell mate !! So glad I found an Aussie over in Euro doing what I love to do most. Im stuck on a mine site back in OZ, but watching these vids to keep me frothed to get back home and ride my bike on r/r. Pumped to see you living your best life.
Love your videos man, and most of all your smiling attitude towards challenges - very relaxing to watch & enjoy. Look forward to each one of your productions, top job!!!
Thanks so much Henri! Really appreciate the kind words 🙏🏼
That last climb looks so awesome! Also in the tour yesterday looks immense
Man it’s so intense. So so steep at the bottom. Video does not do it justice.
A great vid once again. Chapeau Ben, a great win on that mountain stage!
Thanks Derek!
Love your videos mate! Living the life 🙌🏽 big ups from Brisbane 🤙
Thanks mate!
Really great video, Tristan. I love watching these.
Thanks Jen ♥️♥️♥️
very cool
Loving the content, can definitely see this channel exploding! Awesome 👍
Cheers Paul! 🙏🏼
Looks like I might have to spend a day or two in Andorra - more climbing 🎉🎉.. great vlog .. do you think Ben will mind if I stay with him 😂🤷
Awe man I cannot wait to come and ride over there with you one day. Pretty AF. Liked. Would subscribe again.
Can’t wait for you to come ride here, and to subscribe again. 😘
Love your vids. Subbed.
Thank you!
what a invitation to Andora - good job mate :)
Thanks man. Such a great place.
Good job like always 👏👏
Thanks mate! Good to see you up there.
What ride…what a life…
Great video Tristan as usual, what gearing do you ride for the climbs in Andorra? I live on the pan flat Ile de Re, (small French Atlantic coast island), I am riding the Pyrenean Raid 12th September with Marmot Tours, so definitely need to change out my cassette, and go with a compact!
Thank you! I run 52/36 with a 30T cassette for Andorra. I find it a great combination, but 34 on the front (or a 32t cassette) would be a little more comfortable for the really long climbs.
@@tristantakevideo thanks Tristan for your advice, I’ll pass it on to my local bike shop to make the long climbs easier. Merci encore!
thanks Tritan
What a scenery 😮look stunning mate much better than in uk rain 320 days of the year 😂
where is the best place to stay for a cycling trip? - la masana?
Yeah, La Massana has plenty of options and is sort of in the middle of all the mountains. Otherwise Encamp has accomodation options too, or you could go much higher and stay at Park Piolets in El Tarter which is also nice, but a little further away from shops/cafes/etc.
did you invoice that guy for a photo at the top?
awesome scenery & climb workout. you have super human legs. this video deserve more likes
Thanks man 🙏🏼
@@tristantakevideo you're welcome. cheers!
When you stay in Andorra do you stay in a hotel or Airbnb or similar?
Either usually a hotel or at a friends place. Im lucky to have a few mates with apartments up there.
