Very informative video, thanks for posting! The design term you were looking for regarding something that is close to correct, but slightly off and unsettling, is the "uncanny valley".
Wow! Wish I had seen this a while ago. I started Invisalign in 2009 and just as you had described I got frustrated with it because some movements just weren't happening and so I stopped doing any Invisalign. Almost two years ago my dental assistant asked me to get back into it and I was reluctant. She found our rep and she brought him in and got me back into Invisalign. A lot had changed since 2009! But still have been frustrated with the refinements although the scanner makes it so much easier to submit records. I got a new rep just recently and told him how frustrated I was with the Clincheck process and the refinements and he popped your video up on my computer and told me to watch. So glad he did! If you wouldn't mind I would love to have the documents you spoke of. I will email you.
I'm a Dental Hygenist for DK, learned a lot from this lecture - took lots of usefull notes:-)) Thanks a lot, can't wait to see more from you, Dr Bethell.
Thank you, Shelley! If you'd like any more info, I'd be happy to send you the presentation and information that will help you master the clincheck tools!
Wow!!! Thank you so much for this learning experience. Please be inspired to continue making videos, this was great! Can you send me copies of your documents and connections to your mentors?
Thanks a bunch for sharing your knowledge, seeing such videos from General Dentist give us a greater boost to act on learning ortho and incorporate it in our daily practice. What books and CE courses you recommend to improve our skills and knowledge?
Great video!! Thank you for putting this together and sharing your insights! Could you send me your clinical preferences and any other ClinCheck tools you feel would be helfpul?
This is exactly what I have been looking for! Thank you very much for doing this! I would love to get the preferences from you. I just have to figure out how to contact you...lol.
Hey Alex! Thanks for the kind words! I’d love to do a Texas IPR presentation. In 2019, I almost never use propel unless someone asks for it specifically. Bone trauma is helpful, especially when you are trying to grow bone (osteogenesis) or accelerate difficult movements. There are a lot of ways to initiate bone trauma. Piezoelectric techniques (wilkondontics), propel, and other forms of osteoperforation all have worked in my office. That said, most cases just need a well planned and staged clincheck and good compliance.
@@ruggedtgr I was just looking at those yesterday. I'm curious what is your protocol for using them? The videos on their website seem to indicate one munchie only lasts for 2 weeks. Does that mean they need to be changed with each aligner? What do you tell patients for using them and how many do you need for a case?
Amazing video and tutorial! If you could send me your clincheck preferences, I'd truly appreciate it. PS. One of your associates is a dear friend of mine!
Was about to submit a clinchek, decided to see your video and boy was it an eye opener.. can't thank you enough.
