The peacock perched on the wall, should’ve been your first clue as to how fabulous this place was going to be! It was wonderful, thank you so much for taking us along. I deeply enjoyed it. I’m in the states and beautiful places such as this are far and few between in my area. ❤️
The antique center is so fabulous! I would be so excited along with you. 😊 I agree, you must go back with Mark. I love the sound of creaky floor boards. Seeing how the vignettes have been curated brings me such joy. I could spend quite some time looking at everything. Thank you Louisa for sharing today's video. It was a highlight of my day. Take care. See you again soon. ❤
Great Antique centre Louisa. Loved the layout and how everything flows from room to room. My favourite items were the painted chest of drawers. Hope Mark enjoys on your return visit 👍.
I liked the white Chippendale bench with back at 19:44 upstairs. Those painted chests upstairs were wonderful also. I liked the painted one with the black diamond design.
Hi Louisa, it is a lovely antique shop…i loved all the furniture for sure it is my kind of style…some chairs caught my attention ….what i noticed in many antiques stores in England that “milk glass” is not visible in these shops….I collect “milk glass” and I would like to see milk glass from England. Thank you for sharing your day with us….lovely to see you and love your earrings again! (Ana)🌼
Antiquing in Australia is not the same. The antique shops in the UK are fabulous. Also the brocantes & antique shops in France are good. That is why in Australia it costs an arm & a leg to buy antiques from the UK & France.
Great afternoon at the antique emporium. I saw a lot of great chest of drawers that you could use. Remember you want something that is made real well that will last. I listened to your last blog on what you will be concentrating on this year, and working on your main living areas. Please don’t leave sight of your goal and to save money for the important big things you need. You need a starting point for your living areas -either a rug, drapes if patterned. A floor plan is also the first thing you need to do which is fairly easy. Then you know what you are looking for. I am waiting anxiously for a major purchase, a chest, rug, drapes, sofa . Can’t wait!
That’s amazing Louisa! We stay near Bungay every year - no idea there were so many antique places there (we just seem to go to the Co-op! 😂😂😂 can’t wait for your next video ❤
Hi Loiis, I absolutely love that antiques emporium there wasn’t one item I would say no to. The rugs were gorgeous all of them. The furniture to die for. I would live there if they let me just move my clothes in. Lovely day, Thank You from NE,PA, USA.
Loved the second emporium there was some lovely pieces liked all the painted furniture the first natural wood chest of drawers was stunning.Good luck on your hunt for quality pieces.
I love it just like that. Not too stuffed, you can't turn around. Lovely pots and rugs. Liked the arch as well, but you didn't say a price. I am handicapped though so can't do stairs. There is just too much walking there, know I would never make it. Will stick to Texas and can pull up right in front of stores. Beautiful countryside you showed.
I really enjoyed this video! I felt as if I were actually with you and I love the experience of a well curated shop, as this one was! Here in the States, we seem to have lost shops, such as this one, in the past 10-15 years, which is such a shame. Thrifting is in, antiquing is out, it seems. I do love a good thrift, but the type of experience this affords is totally different, uplifting adventure!
Bungay is wonderful,, I think the chap you met at Earsham owns my favourite shop, full of bits and bobs that I really need (want). I loved the rugs at the antique centre. I don't find that Emmaus as good as some others, but as I went to a convent school it reminds me very much of school, perhaps I'm worried about bumping into a nun and it puts me off!
I’m not keen on winter driving low sun etc so I really enjoyed this video and will try and make a visit to this emporium in the Spring. I particularly liked the furniture and am partial to a tapestry cushion.
Beautiful shop. Liked how items were arranged and priced. Wish my area had more shops like this one. We have a few huge antique malls within 40 miles of my home. Too large, and some booths crammed and junky. Thanks for sharing
Hi . just thought I would share hemswel antique centre at Gainsborough Lincolnshire. Don't know if you have ever been.some amazing finds.. also really enjoying your renovation project. Can't wait to see the end result.
Greetings Louisa !! I love the shop it was amazing and the items are spot on ! How was your lunch ?? The peacock was pretty, yesterday I spotted an Eagle up in a tree it was a thrilled because so rare seeing one here in this area !! Stay warm Paula p.s. very cold here too!
Oh my, that last place. It’s easier on the brain when things are well laid out. I will shop at packed places but usually that means I have to go back for several looks whereas well laid out places you spot items quicker. My favourite item was the green wall shelf. I’m going to be painting my pantry a similar green. Loved it paired over the red table. But really the whole place had lots of things I’d have, including the building 🤭
have you ever been to the antiques centre at Ixworth? (just outside of Bury St Edmunds. Most of it is in an old school and the really nice stuff is in a house on the high street. I purchased a beautiful dining table from there and a tall boy that I suspect was anoriginally in an architects office as the drawers are wide and narrow
It’s a wonderful space, but I’d rather see you finish your projects first! How are you using an outdoor shower in the winter? If you did the kitchen, it would really help your storage. How do you prepare a meal?
Has to be nicely laid out. You can see everything & measure it out without too much strain & stress. Except that when it’s well curated the prices are higher than things stacked all one of top of the other dirty & dusty. So it’s a matter of choice & convenience. I prefer curated & order. So my kind of place & they have lovely pieces.
I’ve got loads of thing I’m reseller collector buyer trader my basement is full of things wall art carpets clothes galore boxes and boxes of 35 yrs collecting collectibles lamps shades . I can shop now in basement DONT need anything really
I’m afraid my bank account would be drained at the second emporium. Too many beautiful pieces! Merchandizing and show casing the items makes a world of difference but the time and energy involved does usually translate into higher price tags than what we find in the typical dusty hodgepodge antique shops. I don’t mind paying for the extra effort they put in.
Too much money don’t like paying dealer prices . Like mark said one day he said he could find dresser cheaper and paint himself. You have thrift stores there or Salvation Army st Vincent de Paul is good place to buy gorgeous furniture. I bought a huge Mirror gold frame it’s like a huge sun . Have it on wall as you come in you can see yourself. 50.00 dollars . My favourite sign the SUN. Have lots of furniture buy at goodwills value village st Vincent habitat for humanity. Goodluck Look at Estate yard sales thrift shops you will find loads of things cheap DIY PROJECTS IF YOU WANT TO MAKE the effort of having money in YOUR WALLET MONIES GO ALONG WAY YOU CAN HAVE EVERYTHING LOL LIKE THE QUEEN LOL

I love this Antique Emporium. Just my kind of thing. Lots of beautiful things.
It's up there as one of my favourites 😍

It really is!
I liked the white Chippendale bench with back at 19:44 upstairs. Those painted chests upstairs were wonderful also. I liked the painted one with the black diamond design.
I noted that bench too.
What a wonderful antiques centre, how I wish I lived nearer. I look forward to your next visit with Mark. X

What a lovely antique shop. Love how it’s all laid out. Fantastic prices as well. Really enjoyed the video. 😊🇨🇦
Glad you enjoyed it. I really enjoyed making this one ☺️
The beautiful brick and all the natural light coupled with the airy feel of the store is very enticing. Would love to be there shopping!

Just what I love ❤ the antique emporium was fabulous. Looks an amazing place. Could spend hours in there.
Hi Loiis, I absolutely love that antiques emporium there wasn’t one item I would say no to. The rugs were gorgeous all of them. The furniture to die for. I would live there if they let me just move my clothes in. Lovely day, Thank You from NE,PA, USA.

What an interesting place!
Really interesting 👌
Loved the second emporium there was some lovely pieces liked all the painted furniture the first natural wood chest of drawers was stunning.Good luck on your hunt for quality pieces.
Loved the geometric painted chest.
Yes, that was a favourite of mine too

We seem to be having a resurgence of these shops, which is great. I must admit, i prefer antiquing.

Bungay is beautiful 😍 I agree.
😊😊the bare hedge and low sun..a real winter scene. What a lovely building Emmaus is in.Was it a church school?
I love the large red Chinese cabinet. I have a small one which is hand painted.
The 19th century Chinese wedding cabinet? Yes, that was beautiful 😍
I’m not keen on winter driving low sun etc so I really enjoyed this video and will try and make a visit to this emporium in the Spring. I particularly liked the furniture and am partial to a tapestry cushion.
I wish I could jump on a plane to shop there😕
Beautiful shop. Liked how items were arranged and priced. Wish my area had more shops like this one. We have a few huge antique malls within 40 miles of my home. Too large, and some booths crammed and junky. Thanks for sharing
I think this one was particularly nice 😊
Love the Chinese Marriage Cabinet and the Chinese table. 😊
Yep! I've seen a few pieces I'd happily take home with me 😅 Thanks for sharing.
You and me both! 😊
What a neat antique shop. I liked the red asian inspired cabinet you liked. You should get that desk.
The antique center is awesome 👌. I kept eyeing the rugs, but everything is lovely. Would love to see the cafe, too.
Hi . just thought I would share hemswel antique centre at Gainsborough Lincolnshire. Don't know if you have ever been.some amazing finds.. also really enjoying your renovation project. Can't wait to see the end result.
Yes, I've been to Hemswell. It's a good one.
Love Hemswell, some great bargains to be had there!

I liked the display of couches, high up. Most unusual, never seen that before, but it’s very effective.
Where to start?? That place is glorious!!
It was simply h a treat to visit! 😊
I was the lady who interrupted your coffee in the Silo , it was lovely to meet you .
Hi Julia. I always forget to ask! It was lovely to meet you. I hope you had a lovely day in Bungay.
Gorgeous as ever in red❤😊
Thank you! 😊
Take us with you when you finally decide to buy.
Definitely!
What is it about small cabinets with lots of little drawers? 😍

I’ve never seen couches stacked like that on top of each other

I found the Emmanuel’s lacking from your walk around, the ears ham site had lots of things if interest, but pricy compared to other places, I find
Beautiful displays of fun interesting objects . I’m not really a fan of rummaging around 😂
I like it all laid out too 😊
I love a well curated place but I find better deals at a jumble 😊
I think emporiums like this are great for larger pieces 😊
Hemswell is the best in your neck of the woods and best in europe/biggest
I’ve got loads of thing I’m reseller collector buyer trader my basement is full of things wall art carpets clothes galore boxes and boxes of 35 yrs collecting collectibles lamps shades . I can shop now in basement DONT need anything really
