Protoculture was the the entire reason I got into Psytrance. Imagine my joy when I found out he was using my favorite DAW as well. My day can no longer go wrong!
For years I worked between Logic and Ableton, then switched to Bitwig and I didn’t look back. Just no comparison imo. I’m happy to see it get the love it deserves.
I've got an older computer that I'm using to start at the shallow end of Linux usership. Linux is working (still a noob, but progress is smooth), so thereafter I wanted a DAW. Bitwig saved the day. Now I'm slowly migrating from FL Studio to Bitwig and am loving it so far (I've used FL Studio off and on for nearly 20 years). *Thank you Bitwig for supporting Linux!* I also once enjoyed N.I. Reaktor, but never really got that deep into it (I didn't want to get lost in the forest for the trees). "The Grid" within Bitwig feels like Reaktor on easy-mode, and I also am really enjoying that fact. Bitwig's synthesizer tools right out of the box sound more potent that what I'll ever need, so I'm fine with being on Linux and no longer having a few VSTs that I enjoyed using in the past.
Bit wig is really a modular synth environment as a daw that puts sound design first . That’s why I went all in with it ! A great tutorial and excellent pace with no “ key command or shortcuts malarkey either . Nice and helpful 👽
really exciting DAW for those that like to tinker and play... the ability to setup a self contained melody track in poly grid is game changer. Polarity Music if you want to see what amazing stuff you can do!
currently my main is studio one and cubase (still trying to pick one) but I was looking for a daw to spark some creativity, so I'm turn between ableton and bitwig. Which one would be quickest to come up with an idea?
Thank you for this demo... This DAW looks very interesting to me. I am currently on the search for another DAW to supplement my work. Do you plan on doing more videos like this showing how Bitwig works as this is something I would very much like to see.
Im completely dawless but send my output through a 500 series lunchbox on to a 1010 bluebox for digital capture. Id like to use a daw if they could solve two things 1. Latency when routing to outboard gear. 2. Complexity of options. You can get bogged so deep into choices that it kills creativity. If someone made a daw that was basic recording, minimal vst or plugins, and near zero latency with outboard gear, then basic basic multitrack editing...
It's not about CPU usage, though. Yu can now do non-destructive and per-voice modulations in Diva running as a CLAP in Bitwig, which you can't anywhere else.
It's more efficient when it comes to multi-threading on modern CPUs according to the developers. CLAP allows for the host to now assign tasks to threads.
@@avgchoobafan May I please get the context here? Doing research on DAWs to see which one I wanna get and idk why some people are saying this didn't age well but then apparently it did. Would greatly appreciate it, thanks
Audio titan the common pish I've had from those who have converted to bitwig is that I combines the best features of both logic x and ableton Live. The recent controversy was to do with bitwig adding separate plugins as a separate subscription (or purchase, not sure which) on top of the price for the product. This was met with a serious backlash from current users. The developers changed these plugins to be I clouded a month or two later. Best of luck with the choice. It doesn't really matter what you choose as long as you're relented enough to make good music. But in my network of muso's, there are a few who have converted to bitwig but none of them are established artists on the regular touring schedules in their genres.
Yet another BOD not using a pointer highlighter, all over the place! what is going on where are you clicking... blah blah! also what is your pic doing? nothing other than distraction and using valuable screen area blocking staff, mmm well done!

FL user for twenty years, now i'm on cubase and it's very powerful !! Bitwig has indeed some great features 🙂
your demonstration of the poly note modulation was the defining factor for me switching to Bitwig. Thanks for a great demonstration.
Bitwig FTW 🤘🏼
Dom FTW! 😎
Dom where are new tutorials by you on sonic academy? Who do we have to pester so they invite you back?!
@@meathead919 good question and I'm not sure! It's definitely overdue :)
I migrated from ableton live 1 year ago, and it was the best thing i did!
I get the feeling Bitwig are taking elements of modular back into the DAW, and I like it!

Need more Bitwig videos at Sonic Academy! Thank you

facts but what's confusing is that they don't have have video options to sound design
I LOVE Bitwig. I also love Cubase. Hence why i find this channel is fascinating
I switched to Studio One, and it’s great for me…….
I’m still on FL 😊
@@StellardroneMusic yes, good old days 👍

@@manuinjapan Bitwig for sure... pull up the Grid, drop a few components and link together to get a cool melody... create ambiance music in 10 mins...
Seriously thinking of moving to bigwig from ableton but spent a lot on suite. Might wait for Black Friday sales
Great DAW 👍👍
Protoculture with Bitwig Studio. 😎👍🏽
A few days ago they anounced the 11th reason why you should look at Bitwig Studio.

Compared CLAP to VST3 on DIVA, absolutely same CPU usage.

Using Bitwig and love IT 😊
Amazing features
Oops.
Or not.
Can you load vst,s etc in bitwig?
Or not
Or yes..? As of now?
@@user-fo9lw3pq8l yes much better !
The most compelling reason:
It works on Linux, audio stack on Linux (can) is much superior compare to windows/macos
Very cool stuff 👽
Finally 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
"yeah"
after using bitwig i feel like another daw its stone age
i like the stone age where you can simply pitch raw audiotracks without warping ...that this is not possible in bitwig blows my mind
iTS THE BEST DAW... i LEFT CUBASE 11 FOR THIS
Well this didn't age well.
And now it did age well
Fortunately it has aged well now 👌
Hahha same reply as others, Woohooooo LETS GO BITWIGGERS!

well this didn't age too well.
why?
Cubase looks better

Now 1 major feature on list why not to switch to and probably switch from. I did already switched from..
