Rhema is a term in Greek referring to a spoken word. This comment contains the logos the intent of my thoughts, if you were here in the room and I shared those thoughts with you verbally you would have experienced both the rhema and logos. That passage is saying literally that you receive faith when you hear the voice of God. But that is not well excepted by the world or the church of the world that rather than having a true view of God has instead a form of religion but denies the power there of. Logically we can not insist that God is a personal God, powerful, and views Himself as our Father, while also insisting there is no reason to expect to encounter this same God. The position is ridicules but all the same the very one you are espousing. The text says what it says and makes perfect sense; we trust God because we know Him. Sure, a person who has been told God is real might believe in Him, but they don’t know Him, they just have within their own mind a concept. That is not God, that’s an imagination of God. When you encounter Him, He becomes real, personal, trusted, faith is born. If that was a common experience someone would have doubtless corrected you before me or you would have encountered Him yourself and realized the obvious meaning of this scripture. The fact that so many have not is a great problem. Yashua said not all that say to me Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom and from that the lost, the natural men who are quite confident that they are saved, say see, those that say they believe but do no works they don’t follow the law, they don’t do the will of the Father which must be the Law, they talk and talk but they are not doers…..we are doers of the word…..wow Yashua said the Fathers will is that we believe on the one whom He sent. Scripture says by the law would no flesh be justified, but they do the works of the law. Perhaps more interesting than what they say the problem is, would be what Yashua pointed to, but they never read that part of the text. They don’t speak of the works of those in view or that they were strangers to our Lord. Depart I never knew you. So please don’t lie to people and tell them that faith is the outcome of preaching the word. Faith is the result of the seed, the spoken word of the Father. For those that read this and think but I have never heard Him. No one has ever even suggested I should have. For those that might ask am I even saved? Maybe not, but if you are asking you can be. Here is how you get there. Step by step and likely you have already made at least the first few. Your salvation is entirely the work of God but it is still a gift you must accept. To receive it you must first believe in God, and if you got this far you must. Secondly you have to be absolutely sure He is the one doing the saving. Stop looking to the law or religion. Stop being part of your own solution. Stop being a doer and turn completely to Him. That is what repentance looks like a turning away from you to Him. I am not the man, the father, the Christian, the husband, I want to be because I suck. I sure don’t want to be my own god. I would be a terrible god. I want a great God with wisdom, and power, and real authority. So I don’t look to the law, I look to Yashua as my only hope and if He won’t save me, then I should not be saved, because He is full of grace. If he rejects me, I totally belong in hell. His call is my call, because He is my God. Knowing that you seek Him. You cry out and you keep it up until He responds because He is your only hope. People that go to a church and listen to some phycology, sing some songs, press a little flesh, put some money in the plate, work the soup line, follow the law, these have a different hope they call fruit. I may have fruit but, in my life, it came from the same God that is saving me. Maybe I don’t have any this week again if not His choice. I might be a bad son, and He might kick my butt for it, but when He does, I will still be His son, and He will still be my Father. Faith is a deep respect for the authority and power of God. If you think He has the power to create and rule the whole of creation but can’t talk to you or to do so would be a strange thing, I don’t think you have faith.
My sheep know My voice If you are His expect to hear Him.
Squares are rectangles but rectangles are not squares!!! Christ is God but God (the trinity) is NOT (just) Christ. You only get access to the Father, through Christ (our Lord). A typical "translator" (Freud: alpha-mind = poetry, languages, music etc.) mistake in logic (Freud: beta-mind = logic, maths, physics etc.). Then the "rhema-word" comes to you, "via" the Holy Spirit, where you are filled by, who is send in name of the Father, to find a Bride for His beloved son Christ. The reason why it sometimes is written as Christ or as God is "dia" means "per" or "via" the Holy Spirit ("Christ+Holy Spirit" = God), or when seen as receiving, as "originating from", it is the word from Christ. Then the Trinity never disagrees and always speaks as in 1 voice. In the end it makes no difference to the truth of the "rhema-word" that you receive. (As long as it is not from a false spirit and there is no harm in checking this.)
