wow that is what I am going to do with mine. That car still runs like new in the video plus. I have another one 2009 I am doing the cp3 fuel pump upgrade to bulletproof it from ever failing. Plus the oil pump was a fail on that year. Changing the engine and trans as well to low miles. and upgrading the oil pump.
Great video , thank you. I have to replace hopefully just the o-ring on that coolant pipe. I have a 2000 ALH 1.9 which is similar and maybe a little less involved but still a big job.
may be a little easier access. but I would plan on all day. plus a little more. I believe the oil filter housing needs to come off. Be very careful tightening it back up too. cross pattern tighten it and make sure the gasket did not fall sideways. I did one and it fell sideways and when I torqued the thing down it leaked. a few days later the car lost oil pressure. The slight bit it was off caused the housing to bend and the pressure relief valve is in there and got stuck. Ruined the turbo in 10 seconds. Had to replace turbo and housing $$$$$$$
@@mikesrandomvideos The pipe is metal and coolant seeps out around the O-ring at the head. It's difficult to get to since it's under the injection pump. It's doable but I'll plan a full day.
Same here brother, yesterday my pipe cracked of a 2010 1.6tdi, exactly behind the oil filter housing. Dieselrail, injector lines. Inletmanifold. All that stuff has to come off. And its a none done job at home without good tools. You got maybe around 15 20 plugs from sensors that you have to pull out 4 injector sensors 2 railsensors 1Air flow sensor. 1 High fuel diesel pump sensor. 1 Inletmanifold flaps sensor 1 Ac presure sensor 1 Throttlebody sensor 1 Egr valve sensor 1 turbo actuator sensor And manny more
@@MisdaadKanaal2K22 I took my car to garage.I knew I don't have all the tools nor the time. The garage change it and charged me £213, they supplied the pipe ( warranty). My old golf mk4, it was so easy to work on. LoL.
@@MrSerghei1981 thats a good price. Today i was working around 2 till 3 hours just to get some room around the pipe. In total i think its deffinitly around 4 til 5 hours of work
Fricking much work. I got a leak on the same hose on a 1.6tdi from 2010. I was working on it today. My leak is left behind the oil filter housing, But i cant get it ofThere ate to much pipes and hoses around it. So i was thinkink to seal-tape it
dealer only for this year. late 2006 the metal ones I think someone makes the metal ones 2005.5 they are differen. this is a late 2006 which is VIN specific at the dealer.
you need to know if yours is metal or plastic. I looked mine up by the VIN on a vw parts fish website and googled the part number found it cheaper and ordered it.
@@mikesrandomvideos the problem is solved , i chance it but i took a lot of time and a lot of pacience . Here You can't buy a copy just the original . Cheers 🍻
I notice every VW video just goes on and on about that hose clamp tool. I mean a full 30-60 seconds talking about that in a 5 or 10 minute video is way over done. Everyone that does any work on a car knows about it. Yes, I know you're trying to sell the amazon link but just show it and move on. Tell your friends. But good video. I just wanted to know what the pipe was called and what it looks like new because it's hard to find the part number. Which you also didn't provide. You should have talked about that for 2 minutes and posted an amazon link.
I see a ton of guys trying to use the bolt on clamps. Part is called Coolant Pipe. There is an early and late. early was a metal pipe. Late is a Plastic pipe. they do not interchange. so If yours is plastic Check ID parts. they have them pretty reasonable. Google Plastic coolant pipe year make model of the car if yours is plastic.
www.idparts.com/hard-coolant-pipe-brm-late-plastic-03g121065ac-p-4707.html link for the plastic pipe. ID parts. I didnt put links in here because there are 2 different styles. this should be the plastic one.
I had an 1986 Jetta diesel that was an awesome car. I used to travel 5 states for a living. I put 548k on it and sold it it was still running great.
