(This was one of the first times using the Kemper to Duet to ASUS, so there is some mic bleed picking up the string noise. We have been evolving the setup since this. Enjoy!)

I tried beefing up my chops on metropolis pt. 1, and really humbled myself today. I hit it hard, and made some progress. Glad I pushed on your advice to set the bar high. I feel a lot better about my practice seeing somebody like you who I really like as a player not playing everything super clean. It inspires me greatly. Knowing you have worked so hard to get the chops you have. I still have to work 70 hours/week, and practice. I know I'd really fucking be killing it if I had more time. Thank you for spending the time too. Celebrity metal lessons don't normally come this cheap!

I am so glad this came across my feed. I own all of Trivium's albums. I love your guy's music. I discovered you on RUclips in 2011 when I deployed to Iraq. It got me threw the 8 months I was there. In Waves dropped 2012 right after I got back to Japan from Iraq and I bought it. Shogun and The Crusades are my favorite albums. I love The Sin and The Sentence, you're musical and technical progression is epic from your first albums. I love what you guys do and the fact you are so chill, awesome with your fans doing live streams, the Shred Wars with Jared Dines, allowing him to jam with you guys for your sound check and gave him your guitar, and clinics blows my mind. I have been playing for 16 years. Not really any good or as good as I was before I had kids. Hard to find time to play now but I still jam. Again love your music and what you guys do. Please keep it up.

Matt has been such a inspiratoin for me since I discovered trivium. My parents bought a cameo form him and the amount of effort he put into my birthday message was amazing. Finding out he was in marching band like I am now and played tenor sax like me to really gave me hope for my path. Just a PS for sheet music on gutair. Its in treble clef just like the saxophone so if you know your octaves then it should be easy to transfe that knowledge over. Thanks again from Kentucky!

Awesome! Thanks Matt. FYI; I bought your signature 7 epiphone custom a couple years ago and I absolutely love it. It’s a fantastic instrument. I tune it down to drop G# and I have *zero* issues with the scale length. You just have to have it set up properly and use an appropriately thicker string gauge. -the scale length is actually one of my favorite things about the guitar.
