The inca had the advantage from the beginning, their terrace farms game them a hudge population/production edge from the start, but america was the civ dest poistioned to beat them settling 3 cities in the middle area and for several wars managed to stalemate them and even make gains on their allies, but the whole game went south after the inca counquered russia, and beijing held out, weakening america and letting the inca Empire pounce on the tired republic and win the game
I think America still had a real fighting chance even when they lost new York, during the peace between the two nations, America built up a sizeable army and was making gains (re-took new york), it was the nukes that made the war go so easily for the inca (considering that half of america's army was just deleted in a single turn)
Remember also that minutemen on this map are overpowered, with both the incan hill-ignoring ability and drill, improving their combat abilities in rough terrain. The only reason that the Incan empire didn't lose Tiwanaku (and probably the war) when America was fully committed to attacking the Inca is because 1) the ai won't (can't?) pillage freaking citadels and 2) those citadels kept killing every single unit he sent their way. If America had opted to take out China first (this was never going to happen what with Inca's early aggression), they would have been in a much better position to engage in an offensive against the Incan empire. There were only two competitive civilizations on this map. Everyone else (with the possible exception of salt-endowed India) had no chance.
"In a cavern, in a canyon. Excavating for a mine. Dwelt a Civ, forty-niner. And their sweet resource-tile, Iron Mine. And I was starving, so I went and lost this game of mine..."
Germany really outdid itself this time around. I was watching the top left corner the whole time and was amazed how long they actually held out. They were even starving throughout the latter half of the match, and that snipe on the last russian city was pretty incredible, even though their army wasnt just up to par at that point. Still, really enjoyed the match overall. :)
If they took Beijing quickly they had a chance, instead they were grinding for many turns weakening their army while the Inca could steamroll the rest.
That defense of Beijing from Americans was legendary, that's the turning poimt of this game (also at this point I assume they gave their city to Incas on purpose)
What the hell just happened? I was completely focused on who was gonna take Beijing, meanwhile Russia just straight up disappeared off the map. Talk about a surprise!
The Inca/America rivalry was really interesting. I honestly had no clue who would win outta the two. The Inca had the base advantage but the USA made gains quickly. The uneasy stalemate was really interesting to watch. And then Russia got huge out of nowhere while China freaking resisted one of two superpowers. I think that’s where it was lost. Without the easy conquest like over Egypt and such America needed time to build units and luckily for the Inca, they just had a massive easy conquest and plenty of units to spare. And with that, the rivalry came to an end.
This would have honestly been much funnier without the Inca, the advantage they have over the other CIV´s is just too ridiculous in this map. I knew from min1 they would actually win. I was only surprised that America held them for so long.
Holy cannoli! I was amazed by America and Russia at first, they were huge powerhouses, then the Inca went nuts! They were insanely strong on this map xD I saw these in my recommended videos, and these are ridiculously fun and entrancing to watch. Thank you :D
This was pretty unbalanced tbh. It was pretty obvious that either Russia or the Inca would win this as they get relevant bonuses on this map. It was cool to see the Americans have a good start nonetheless though :)
I wanted India to win, but I knew they wouldn't. They make peace as soon as they start to make any progress. I had a little hope, but I know they're meant for other types of victory,.
Im so proud that the inca won against amarica. I mean a bit obvious that the inca would win, cause of there passive. Anyways im very happy that america lost, i really really dont like that civ.

I think that bigger Inca's advantage was their faster movement on hill tiles. The moved two times faster than other civs. Terrace farms are cool tho)

Great wall of Berlin: Berlin wall. XD
Sometimes im amazed at the incopetence of the American Civ 5 ai. They had 4 cities from the get go, how do they fuck up this badly?
If they took Beijing quickly they had a chance, instead they were grinding for many turns weakening their army while the Inca could steamroll the rest.
Cusco had more pop than 4 of washington's cities combined. The inca where the only ones with a reasonable amount of food
love the description
it reminds me of r/writingprompts
I always cheer for the Inca so I really enjoy to see them win even when the odds are so stacked in their favour.
FF 2016 me too!! Finally got to see them win yay they're my favorite civ. They had a very unfair advantage in this map lol
Agreed.
That defense of Beijing from Americans was legendary, that's the turning poimt of this game
(also at this point I assume they gave their city to Incas on purpose)
van der Heist kinda unfair because the chinese had two mountains closing off america from the south
I am so happy that America didn't just win the game by settling 3 cities at the beginning :D
Suprise a civ with Bonus on Hills will win...

All this boiled down to was who died of starvation first.
Ethnic Pumpkin Drod except Inca have Terrance farms.

America's unique unit is pretty good for this map. It was either them or the incas.
5:26 Germany be like "I'll take some of that action!" LOOOOL
Holy cannoli! I was amazed by America and Russia at first, they were huge powerhouses, then the Inca went nuts! They were insanely strong on this map xD

America wasted a lot of energy trying to take Beijing from a bad position
Without Spain it was 100% Inca victory
Impressive how Germany (and partly China) was able to survive for so long
When USA dont have oil
America FFS, you just had to fight everyone at the same time. Just get the oil

Make some more videos with alliances please, the one with tons of 3 civ alliances was awesome!

I was hoping the American AI would finally have a win
I could see why Cusco would have that many people. But how did Delhi and Mumbai get so much?
Tibet: The Game
Like A Song From Command And Conquer Generals At Track 08
The Inca brought freedom and democracy to whole world
How the fuck did America manage to lose this, PLEASE ONE TIME GEORGE, ONCE
Inca's terrace farms allowed them to have way more food than anyone else. this was the Inca's game to lose from the beginning, not America's.
FF 2016 plus that sweet extra movement in the hills
I mean, America did win the one that came out after the 4th of July if thats any consolation
